This location used to be called Tower East, and for decades it was a total dump. Mercifully, the owner sold the store, and it was rebranded as Citi Wine + Spirits. The place has improved by leaps and bounds. The current owner added new signage, cleaned up the building exterior, windows and parking lot. They also removed all the nasty window film ads from the 90s. I legally conceal carry, and even though signs hold no legal weight in GA, I appreciate that the new owner removed the asinine«no guns allowed» signs that were plastered everywhere, as if an armed robber would have obeyed them anyway. The product quality and selection has improved a ton. It appears they’ve engaged a few bourbon distilleries and now carry several private barrel whiskeys. Aside from the very respectable selection of bourbons, scotches, and Irish whiskeys, they also stock some pretty high end tequilas. Several great anejos and reposados to choose from. I’m really excited to see this place improve so much, and I’m hopeful they will keep up all the positive changes and momentum. Instead of a neighborhood eyesore, we now have a neighborhood asset.
