This cleaners is total ripoff artist. First of all, they do not understand English(or pretend not to). They will lie to your face about their pricing and then go into their«I don’t understand» phase and then laugh all the way to the bank. I gave them specific instructions on how to take care of my clothes. When I arrived, they totally ignored my request and then dry cleaned shirts that were to be laundered stating that was their policy(unposted). I have had these same shirts laundered numerous times without any issue. This was the first and last time I will use this place, regardless of how convenient it is. If you do choose to use them, be sure to take a bottle of lube. You will need it when they bend you over to pay!

This is one of the worst experiences I have had with a dry cleaning service. I had to get some clothes cleaned for an event, and the woman at the counter said it would be ready the next day at noon. It was not ready at the time that they said it would be, and they were very unapologetic. They also accused me of not being able to read the ticket. This establishment has no regard for customer service. I will never return to this location.

This cleaner earned my repeat business after handling some last minute tailoring needs for me in a timely manner. Because of this, I began to bring various shirts for cleaning and other misc. items for repair. This last visit I brought in a work overcoat(I’m a server) to have a pocket that was torn approixmatley ½ inch on the seam. At the time the smock was dropped off, I specifically asked that the smock NOT be dry cleaned after being repaired and that it be laundered only. Today I went to go pick up my jacket and it ends up that it WAS dry-cleaned. After politely pushing back and indicating that I was not going to pay for a service that I did not ask for, I was quickly informed that my item(4 shirts) would not be surrounded unless I did. The cost to repair a simple smock and to have it dry cleaned $ 18.90. I was fed some weak excuse that since the jacked had a zipper it could not be laundered or pressed on industrial equipment. If that’s the case, the jacked should not have been able to have been dry cleaned or pressed at all. Being forced into purchasing a service you specifically did not ask for while your items are being held ransom is poor business practice at best. Fortunately for me, my bank will handle the dispute and return my money to me — I’m protected under Visa. Proceed at your own risk.

I’ve only had one experience with this cleaner, with any cleaner for that matter. They removed a stain on my Nanette Lepore skirt which I was thrilled about. It wasn’t until I wore a cardigan I had cleaned by them that I noticed anything amiss. In my cardigan, there were two magnets that held the top together in a cowl neck style and these magnets had been ripped out. As I mentioned before, this was my first time using a dry cleaning service so this may have been my mistake by not pointing out the magnets. I will return because they did a phenomenal job with my other pieces and the location can’t be beat for me.

I brought my favorite pea coat in for cleaning and it came back a few sizes smaller. The sleeves are now a couple inches too short(see picture), and the body is too tight. I wanted this to be my regular dry cleaner — the prices are reasonable and the lady was nice — but I’m not willing to risk it again. I’m still sad that my beloved coat doesn’t fit me anymore.

I’ve been comprising my dignity by going to A-1 Cleaners for months all because of it’s proximity to my house. I hated going there and had to grit my teeth every time I needed something dry cleaned. I tried to find a different company, but driving to Little 5 just didn’t make any sense. After doing some research and driving around aimlessly I finally found a solution to my problem. No more horrible customer service. No more waiting for 4 days to get my clothes back. No more wondering if my clothes are actually going to be clean. Choice Cleaners saved the day and has earned all of my future dry cleaning business. The staff is really nice, the store is clean and air conditioned, and most importantly they clean and press on Saturdays. That means you can still get a one day turn-around if you get your clothes in by Friday evening. That’s hard to find in other places around the city.

Okay, this place deserves an upgrade because the employees are so incredibly nice. Like, hold the door open for you, always smiling, sunshine-y day type nice. When was the last time you looked forward to going to the dry cleaners? If you can’t remember, it’s because you don’t go to Choice Cleaners.

Terrible!!! Cant believe the horrible service. I took a shirt in to get altered because it was too big. When I took it out of the bag three days later a notice the work was completely coming apart! Since I had never worn it, I took it in and assumed they would apologize and stitch it up for me. No, all I got was an attitude and was told I had to pay. I asked her why should I pay when I never wore it and it was coming apart. She just shrugged her shoulders and say I had to pay. Horrible service. Never go there.

horrid! they altered some shirts for me and did a 6 year olds hack job to them and then when i took one back to have it fixed they charged me again! then to save the time for the customer behind me i went ahead and paid the second charge for their mistake because the lady behind the counter ALL-OF-A-SUDDEN could not speak english. i will never go back and will make sure that anyone that asks me about alterations(or dry cleaning for that matter) is warned.

Friendly, quick, and convenient to those in Grant Park… Highly, highly recommended. What more can you say about Cleaners?
