The quality of food has gone down which is a shame… The very first time I went I was in love … I went again for my birthday and was sadly disappointed. I hope they get back to their original standard of food. Then maybe I will go back.

Sad to see this place go, but it had declined in the last few years. Yes, the drinks were overpriced, but I liked them. They menu was much better a few years back(no idea why they stopped serving the ‘sticky ribs’). Oddly enough, the burgers weren’t very good, but I thought everything else was ok. One thing I didn’t like was that I always seemed to get seated directly in front of whatever(usually bad) live musician they had, which made conversation impossible. Oh well. I had hoped they’d get their act together, because I love a ‘beachy’ kind of place. Too bad.

«They paved paradise and put up a parking lot» Joni Mitchell In this case, they tried to put up paradise in a parking lot. Having been to the original Cheeseburger in Paradise in Hawaii, I was interested in how this concept could be duplicated off Ashford Dunwoody. It can’t be. Even with the island themed décor, menu and tropical drinks, Cheeseburger in Paradise is no vacation. In the back of a busy shopping center is a quite average restaurant serving okay food. A group of twelve of us came, so there was a lot of variety on the table, from burgers to wings to Coconut Shrimp. All the food was okay, but no clear winners. Burgers can be Angus or Kobe beef($ 2 more for Kobe), turkey or veggie burger.(No upcharge for veggie burger). I ordered a veggie burger«Pressed» with Velveeta on sourdough bread. I always appreciate the veggie option, and it was A-OK. Most everyone who ordered the beef burgers were unimpressed. Cheeseburger Paradise has a lively island themed drink menu, but most were too sweet, and not very strong. Overall: Fake palm trees, okay food, so-so drinks. Aloha.

I wish Unilocal would allow multi-tiered ratings! If you want a night out that includes drinks, don’t go here. The drinks are overly sweet and cost too much for what you’re getting. If you want my recommendations for food, stick with the wings and the All American Beach Burger with fries. Keep life simple at this place and you won’t be upset at Unilocal’s limited rating system! In case you wondered, my 3 stars apply to the food selections mentioned. Over and out.

I’m a fan of this place and that’s that. I come here with my good friend, Judy L. alot. We love the variety of different burgers they serve. We usually end up going on trivia nights and I think that’s on Wednesday or Thursday. I forget. Atmosphere is somewhat a tropical feel. Hence it’s Cheeseburger in Paradise. Noise-level all depends on how many customers are dining in. It’s usually average. Things to get: –Burgers of course! I’ve tried the Swiss(my fav), Cajun, and a few others I don’t remember the name of. Never disappoints. You can also substitute your bun with wheat and your burger with either turkey or bean burgers. –I also tried their salmon entrée with rice pilaf and veggies. Yum. Overall, not a bad place. Try it out!

I am a fan of their outdoor eating but this time I sat at their festive bar. Ordered a couple of drinks and fell in love with their chips and yummy salsa. The bartender was very quick and balanced her busy bar well. Their frozen Sangria, Coronarita(big glass of margarita with upside down Corona inside!), and Tropical Island Tea are my faves! Their beachy, fun décor is great for these hot Georgia summers!

I came here for a farewell dinner for a friend who is venturing to France and I must say it was a strange choice for a girl about to venture to the home of well over 80 Michelin Star restaurants. It’s a bit of a hokey place, with the staff being mostly pre-pubescent boys who look like they got the job with the frat-boy college SPRINGBREAK [INSERTYEARHERE] BEERCHUGGINGCONTEST mentality. They offer 100oz beer tube, which settles nice and snug into the previous statement about beer chugging. Overall, it offers that typical beachside, spring break, restaurant grill/bar ambiance without the amazing ocean view and sexy people walking around. To give it a bit of credit to this place, it is owned by Jimmy Buffet so it has to have that white beach, cerulean ocean, sandals/flip flops, and margaritaville feel. The food really isn’t that bad. I ordered the Baja Burger and the Tropical Island Tea. Both were decent but I would favor the tropical island tea. It was very well made, with an excellent fruity tang from the vodka that I barely could taste the alcohol(which is a bit dangerous) though it was a bit overly sweet; I would like a bit more lemon bite. The Baja burger was cooked pretty well, a bit too much mayonnaise and not enough spicy kick to it despite the jalapenos. I’m not being too picky but I do frequent The Vortex so I have high standards for my burgers. Overall, the food was decent but not memorable. In general, I have no qualms with this place. I think it tries too hard to be that beachside restaurant but it has no beachside to go by. It’s a good place to go if you want to pretend like you’re in that atmosphere but if you’re going to drink make sure you bring a DD because their drinks are cheap and strong. The staff is mainly high school so I expect the service would be on and off a bit. They try to be a paradise but didn’t quite crack open the coconut for this one.

Why there is no option to deduct stars for negative ratings? Because this place deserves one for sure. And this application will not let you post a review if you don’t select at least one star!!! Three of us went there for dinner and ordered 2 soups and a burger. 45 minutes later there was still no sign of food and we were already waiting for a refill for 20 minutes on our drinks. After we cancelled our orders and asked for the check, the manager approached us and asked how long ago we placed the order, because their system shows that the order was placed only 6 minutes ago. The place had 20 people tops and I did not see the reason for the delay. Even though the manager apologized, we are definitely not going back there. Roaches were crawling up the beams on the screened patio.

On my way to work, I stopped by to pick up something to-go. When I arrived, no one was at the host station. Finally a lady appeared who acted as if she didn’t want to serve me. It took nearly 20 minutes to receive my order. The fries were pretty good but the burger was very bland. No flavor at all, as if it was taken out of a freezer and put on the grill. I want to try a different burger, but I’m skeptical based on my last experience.

Went here for lunch today and it was definitely a BADDECISION! I gave them 1 star for the only good thing I had today and that was the service from our waiter Mike. Other than that it was a waste of money. Supposedly they just changed the menu and they need to change it again. I had the Turkey Burger and roasted corn. I have never in my life had a Turkey Burger that was so dry and it taste like it had nutmeg in it. WTH… who puts nutmeg in turkey burgers??? I will NEVER eat here again.

This place is certainly no paradise, but they do try. Fun, simple, albiet a bit too cheesy of a theme going on inside. But, with a name like theirs, can you really expect elegance? It’s meant to be fun, right? The food is average. It’s not bad, and it’s not mind-blowing. Service, however, has been really good, and the bar usually has a few patrons. I went back the second time because they sent me a coupon through text, which I did sign up for, and since then I’ve gotten quite a few good ones but haven’t used them. I do like their Triple D, where you can choose three different dips with chips for an appetizer; it comes in handy when you have a bigger group.

We ended up eating here because all the other places at Ashford Crossing were crazy busy on a Saturday night and the wait times for tables were long. Plus, my friends and I just really wanted cheeseburgers — no matter where we went. FRENCHFRIES: 4 stars. But I can’t give the entire place 4 stars based on their fries. The menu says«endless french fried potatoes» but I didn’t get a chance to test this because I was too full to ask for more. They’re good. BURGERS: I had the four mini-cheeseburgers option. The meat was way too well-done. Dry, bland. My friends’ burgers looked good, however. And they liked their choices — bacon cheddar burger and powerhouse burger. Overall, they were ok. We’ve all had better. They both asked for their meat medium-rare, but only one of them looked so. The other was definitely closer to medium-well. ATMOSPHERE: Meh. Way too dark. It was really cold where we were sitting. SERVICE: I have two complaints about service. One, our server did not state that onion strings were an option as a side. She just listed off fries, coleslaw, rice, broccoli, something, something… It wasn’t until four people were sat next to us that we heard their server describe the onion strings as a side option. I would have gotten those if I had known. Second, I’ve read the reviews and note that a lot of people complain about the wait time for their food. Same here. You would think that they would have figured out by now how to move food in a busy, popular, fast-paced place such as this. Nope. Oh, well. I was happy to have had my burger and the fries redeemed our decision to go here.

I agree about the hit or miss nature of this place. The appetizers and adult beverages have always satisfied. Love their frozen sangria. The burgers are just ok. I mean considering the name of the restaurant, I was expecting a pretty banging burger. Service has been great the few times I have been there. I think I may return from drinks and appetizers.

In the middle of the week, my husband and I had a rare desire to be spontaneous and actually eat out rather than save money at home. We ended up at Cheeseburger in Paradise because it seemed from the outside like a happy place and just what the husband needed after a rough day at the office. We were wrong. First, the food was only moderately decent. My fish tacos had barely any flavor, though I guess that is better than some alternatives with fish… Still, I expected better. I don’t even remember what my husband ordered but he didn’t seem particularly blown away. The worst part was the atmosphere. We happened to attend on trivia night but the place was nearly empty, and the DJ practically begged folks to join the game. This place might stand a chance if the staff didn’t have to wear cheesy outfits AND throw out rehearsed lines related to the beach theme. Both our waiter and the host delivered these lines with an understandable lack of enthusiasm, and that pretty much set the tone for the night.

I ended up here because Alex H. was surprised that I’d never been to a Cheeseburger in Paradise before. So we decided to check it out after Christmas shopping. I was surprised to like the place. Yes, it’s cheesy(pun intended). But the drinks were well made, my burger was cooked to order, and the endless fries were tasty. I was very pleased that they didn’t skimp on the booze in our mixed drinks. Some of these kinds of places give you so little alcohol, you wonder if you’re just drinking fruit juice. That wasn’t the case here. Our waitress was prompt and friendly, and I left with a full belly. A-OK!

I always like coming to Cheeseburger in Paradise because of the feeling I get when I am there. It is fun and festive and I’m a big fan of Jimmy Buffett music. I’m always disappointed when I leave to find that I am still in Atlanta and not at the beach. The food at CIP is pretty good, as it is a chain of the Outback corporation(Jimmy Buffett only gets 4% of the sales profit to use his likeness). Drinks are pretty good, from the sissy froo froo drinks to the cold beer. Servers(sorry I mean Islanders) are always friendly and helpful. I use to always get their West Indies burger, but it is a burger of the day now and not on the menu all the time; so lately I’ve been getting the«It’s So Gouda Burger» which is excellent if you like lots of cheese and mushrooms. Besides from the food, drinks and service I give this place a thumbs up on their coupons. I joined their online email club and get all sorts of valuable coupons that I share with my coworkers; and I’m also participating in their«Paradise Pick Em’» football game where they have been sending me $ 25 gift certificates at least every other week.

Service was terrible. A group of 10 got seated, but had no server come to us to ask for drinks/utensils/appetizers for at least 30 minutes. We were also seated right in front of the«band» where the speakers were blowing into our ears. It was as if we were yelling in the restaurant, as if we were in a club environment. So finally, we get a waiter to our table. The food, was ok. The guacamole dip tasted as if they made it 3 days ago and stuck it in the fridge. The mini cheeseburgers were tough to chew, and the bill at the end wasn’t even right. We had 2 extra things charged, and that took another 20 minutes to fix. I also broke out into hives from the coconut shrimp I ordered that night(2nd time it ever happened in my life) which means the shrimp wasn’t fresh enough to serve. Food is below mediocre. Go to Applebee’s if you want some burgers like this place. The slushie-martini like drink we order was so watery and was not presentable. I don’t recommend this at all. Jimmy Buffet music blasted the night away instead of a chill conversation because the«band» wouldn’t turn it down– even after tips.

My wife and I will sometimes get a craving for greasy, fatty American food. We recently tried Cheeseburger in Paradise, since it is not too far from us. I guess the first bad sign was when we walked in at 7:30 pm and the place was dead. The waitress was surly, and the wait time for food was very long(despite very few other tables occupied). I ordered a turkey burger. A typical good turkey burger will be big and juicy. This place’s turkey burger was flat and very small– it didn’t even taste like turkey. It was evident this was just a frozen patty. The fries were shoestring style, which I also do not like. My wife did not enjoy her veggie burger either. With all the other options in the Perimeter Mall area, I don’t see how this place can do well.

Basically this place is kind of hit or miss for me. First, it’s very expensive for the service that they offer. Lunch usually isn’t very busy, but it takes an hour or longer to be served and they do not have a lunch menu, meaning that you pay the same that you would for dinner(maybe that’s why there’s not a lunch crowd). I love their appetizer menu and they have very unique salads. The disappointing thing for me is their seafood selection. The entire restaurant is beach themed and their seafood isn’t very good. I had the fish tacos today and they were soft shelled tacos with relatively good fish smothered in cabbage and an oozy pineapple sauce. Eww. I don’t recommend eating an entire meal here, but for happy hour you can’t go wrong. Their creative drink menu and their long appetizer list(the mini-burgers and shrimp are both very good) make for a fun cocktail experience… just make sure you’re not there while a band is playing. It can get miserably loud.
