The owner was terrible rude when I dropped by his shop a couple years ago. He only sells telescopes and astronomy like equipment. I simply went in asking about DSLR cameras, not knowing this jerk had a chip on his shoulder about customers asking about cameras… When the name of the establishment is called«Camera Bug»!!! He seriously need to lighten up and changed the name to specifically about Telescopes. He was real short with stating customers aren’t concerned with buying cameras in shops anymore and they cared about was price matching just to purchase online through Amazon. When I did buy my camera in a shop, so it was loss. Please shoppers beware of this creep!

Owner is a Whine-O-Matic little bitch who wouldn’t SHUTTHEFUCKUP about how«all the Emory students buy their telescopes online but then expect ME to do their Warranty service for FREE!». Guy was fucking INSANE about this… Couldn’t WAIT to get the fuck outta there… — Yes, Andrew W. is correct; Camera Bug is no longer a camera shop – telescopes only and the place looks like it got hit by a hurricane… Stay far, far, FAR away from this place ;) _Y_O_U__H_A_V_E__B_E_E_N__W_A_R_N_E_D_!

It is no longer a camera/photography store. They now only carry astronomy specific optical devices(telescopes) and binoculars for birding and so on and so forth.

You will not find a more knowledgable and honest guy to deal with than the only employee at Camera Bug – the owner. Think«Floyds Barber Shop» mixed with the show«Hoarders» and the good old days where you are welcome just to come hang out and chew the fat or buy a telescope… that’s Camera Bug. I have been dealing with this place for over 5 years now and this guy will bend over backwards to help you in any way he can regarding Telescopes or binoculars. I highly recommend it. It is BEHIND the Thai restaurant in Sage Hill plaza Steven K. lighten up man. :) Not sure why the business gets a bad review because you couldn’t find it, but to each his own I guess.

I came here(to Unilocal) looking for the store address and noticed one guy couldn’t find the store and thought it was closed. He gave a bad review to Camera Bug although he was mad at Unilocal for listing a supposedly closed business. I feel compelled to give my own review to offset this because this place deserves much better than one star. Also another 4-star review is hidden from view for some reason. I bought my telescope from here. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a ton of questions when I was investigating buying my scope. He cleared up a lot of the haze for me. More recently, I was having trouble replacing a broken screw for my focuser(custom item). The manufacturer was no help at all. They told me I will have to buy a whole new focuser because they buy them from someone else and don’t keep parts. They refused to tell me who supplies their focusers so I could contact them directly. I called Camera Bug and he told me to bring it in and he’s going to help me get the part. Very cool. Unless it’s been cleaned since last time I was there, the store is a bit of a mess, but a fun mess. It’s packed with all kinds of cool camera and telescope equipment. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for camera or telescope needs.

If every pub in the world disappeared, then all the men would go to Camera Bug to hang out. Although my photography professor and I consider Camera Bug as «a typical guy place,» I love Camera Bug! For those of you who aren’t so familiar with the place, it’s a small camera shop, located near Thaicoon & Sushi restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you see bunch of telescopes and old cameras. Something about that antique feeling draws you in. And the owner is so funny! He is so knowledgeable about anything camera and photography related.(You can tell that he won me over with his charms.) They carry black & white films, 35 mm manual cameras, digital cameras, lenses, and other photo supplies. I also learned that Camera Bug fixes cameras as well. And a lot of items are a lot cheaper than Showcase or other commercial camera shops!
