After returning a washer/​dryer set to a big-​box store (with a huge headache to go along with 6 weeks of laundry piling up), I set out to support local businesses and went with BSI to purchase our new machines. I was searching for a local company that had excellent customer service, which unfortunately after the fact, this is NOT the one I should have gone with.
They are non-​committal on delivery dates and times, unresponsive with emails and not willing to take further steps to fix issues after an item has been delivered. Plus the delivery/​repair men they sent kept saying they were here from another company, which needs to be addressed.
Do not shop here.

Builder Specialties supplied my Kitchen Appliances, My Garage door openers, and my remote control gas fireplace and logs. Their pricing was pretty good and their service is excellent.
What I liked:
1) Very helpful staff. Really help you navigate the options and willing to work with your budget. You can be very frank with these guys — I told them I was aware of competitor prices — and they worked with that fact sensibly.
2) Competitive on price. These guys probably aren’t the very cheapest, but on higher end brands (Kitchenaid, Wolf, Viking) they are competitive.
3) They have very good delivery. When getting appliances delivered you don’t want them to knock into things or scratch walls. These guys were careful and did a nice job with the delivery.
What could be better:
1) Bigger selection. They don’t carry Samsung for example.
2) Pricing on LG products isn’t good.
