I have been eating at Bambinelli’s since I was a kid. Everything is always delicious! Minestrone, spaghetti, eggplant parmesan, and caprese salad are my faves. And some days I just can’t take another breath until I’ve have their garlic rolls!

I love their garlic bread more than anything! So delicious. Their entrees are pretty good. I recommend the eggplant Parmesan or shrimp scampi. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is like a traditional Italian restaurant. Low lighting, intimate and pleasant. Very big potions and good prices.

I had their catering and their garlicky red and chessy white sauces are robust. The lasagna is great. Bread pudding is terrific to end the meal.

I hail from the Northeast and my wife is from Chicago, so we know good Italian food and pizza. While this is not the best pizza I have ever eaten, it is the best I have eaten in Atlanta thus far. Bambinelli’s is our go to for pizza. Their pies have an ample amount of sauce and their sauce recipe tastes great. This place is a gem and is very much a mom and pop Italian restaurant. The very few times they’ve messed up an order, the management goes out of their way to make things good and I can honestly say they have earned my business as a loyal customer.

Had a great Mother’s Day dinner. Bonnie, the owner, greeted me by name and made sure we got a good table. Our waiter, Bob, was top notch and very attentive. We all enjoyed our meals very much — fyi, big portions. Even though we were stuffed, we ordered dessert — the White Chocolate Bread Pudding was outstanding — and I don’t usually like bread pudding! That dessert was gone in a minute. Coming from New York, it’s hard to find old school Italian in Atlanta, but this is the place.

I have been eating here for over a decade. What I really hate about this place is my own inability to branch out and explore the menu. I just get stuck eating my delicious favorites over and over again. They’re just so frustratingly delectable. Having said that, I can definitely vouch for the spinach and gorgonzola salad, the calzone, the manicotti, the canneloni, and the cannoli. I’ve sampled the dishes of friends and family over the years, and I’ve never tasted a dish I didn’t like. I’d get into the garlic rolls now, but I worry I’d learn of Unilocal’s character limits.

Great family owned Italian restaurant. Love the pizza. Beats any chain restaurant. Quality food for a fair price. They also deliver I have seen the owner each and every time dining in the restaurant. I used to love Chris pizza(before they changed ownership) now this is our family’s favorite pizza place.

I had such a great lunch here today; the service was great. I tried the Linguini Carbonara and I loved it. It is a giant portion that will make at least one more meal and maybe two, especially if you dine on the salad and bread served while you wait. I had so much left over that it barely fit in the to-go box they gave me. The wait wasn’t very long which is always good. Daniel was my server and he did a great job, thanks!!!

Trust me. Try the meatballs. Perfect. The lasagna was good, the cannelloni was great, and the garlic bread sticks were delish. The kids loved the Fettuccini, spaghetti, and baked ziti. I’m glad we stopped here!

If you want old school Italian food, this is the place. I had been craving stuffed shells and couldn’t find a place to get them. While Bambinelli’s didn’t have them, they did have stuffed manicotti. It was delicious! We added the meatballs as an appetizer but saved them to eat with our entrees. My husband had the spaghetti with sausage. It was also delicious. The restaurant is a little dark and old school but the food is definitely worth a trip.

If I could give this place less stars then I would. Found a bug in my food and the manager was not at all empathetic about it. He acted like I was inconveniencing him! The atmosphere here is similar to piccadilly so if you are not a member of aarp this might not be the vibe you’re looking for either.

Went for lunch while visiting friends, great specials. Food and service was wonderful. I had the chicken Alfredo, the sauce was great and the chicken was seasoned wonderfully. Will definitely go back!

Baffled. I have heard raves, RAVES about this place for decades… Met a friend for lunch. Meh. the«9 $» lunch special? A small hand full of lettuce with 2 olives and a piece of tomato. A huge portion of(cheap) spaghetti and a small eggplant parmesan– their cost? 2? My cost $ 9+. The service was nice(my companion would NOT stop flirting with the(straight) waiter.ugh. Nice, but 9 $?? Oh well, I have now eaten here. My life can go on…

Eggplant parmesan was delicious. I really enjoyed the marinara sauce. Granted I’m not Italian and not as authority but the sauce is tart from ragu or prego. The garlic knots are tasty as well. Be prepared for people to say you smell like garlic. The dishes that are served with pasta are large enough to share or you will definitely have leftovers.

Ambience: It was really cold when we entered, and the server just said that she felt hot. Um, dear, it’s not about you. Also, the napkins didn’t clean our hands and mouths; they just smeared stuff around. Service: Hailey knew nothing about the wines they offered, and when I asked if anyone else did, she said«nobody on this side». Really? Also, it felt like she was really rushing us to eat and get out. When she cleared some dishes away, she threw one of the knives in my wife’s water. Unfortunately, my wife wasn’t done with her water. Wine: We tried the Danzante(super dry) and the Da Vinci(dry). Both were pretty good. The prices were on point. Food: OK, no salad with the meal? What? The bread was basically rolled pizza dough, so nothing special there. After reading the other reviews, we got the garlic butter on the side. Thank goodness, because no one that ate it liked it. We enjoyed the parmigiana and alfredo dishes we ordered, but the marinara A LOT of garlic in it.

The garlic rolls and eggplant parmesean, Bada Bing sandwhich and tbe chicken Alfredo were exquisitely prepared. Had a delivery that took 30 minutes BUTTHEFOODWASSTILLNICEANDWARM! Delivery person and person who took my order did a super job. Repeated my order before hanging up, and drivser got the food hete without the bags sopping wet from the rain… although she was… felt bad fkr her but what a trooper! Although the dinner portions were more than expected for the good price, the desserts were very small for the price. Chocolate cake was not a high cake, and was a very thin slice, the large size cannoli were what I would think to be the mini size(I’m Italian… my geandmother and mother made these… the ones from this restaurant are roughly 1⁄3 the size of a regular size cannoli… so large size should be marked as small. They WERE however, delicious. The bread pudding was listed as ‘with chocolate’,.I wonder where the chocolate went because it was NOT on the bread pudding. They forgot to give me the vanilla bean ice cream that I was told would be in a container with a lid. The bread pudding itself was ok — not in chunks like this dessert should be. just kind of a soft piece of thick crustless bread… spices were good. I also ordered the fried ravioli and fried mozarella. The ravioli were way over done… couldn’t even cut through them. Tried biting off a piece, but it was too hard/tough to sink my teeth into. The mozarella was ‘ok’. Wouldn’t reccommend these 2 appetizers. In summary, meals were good, desserts ‘ok’ & small sized portions for the price(missing the white chocolate and ice cream in my, order of bread pudding), appetizers also a small portion size and ok flavor wise… not sure about ravioli as theywere not edible. The only reason I rated this a 4(would have been 3.5 but no way to rate that) was due to the problems with the appetizes/desserts. Entrees alone deserve a 4 star rating.

My go-to Italian place in Atlanta. It’s not too expensive, big portions and non-pretentiously tasty. They have regular Italian-American staples like ravioli, lasagna, bolognese, etc. The beef ravioli is quite tasty. I like a lot of marinara sauce and they deliver on that front; maybe even a little too much sauce! ;) It’s a very rich, robust style which I’ve come to appreciate as «Bambinelli-style». They also give you these awesome rolls that will fill you up, so be careful! Skip the«Isle of Capri» salad. It’s not a Caprese salad; no balsamic vinegar drizzle. Instead they just give you a dressing on the side, which is strange. And the tomatoes are sliced way too thick. And onions? Why? I like an even ratio of mozzarella, tomato and basil with my Caprese salad and this was way off so I ended up using two pieces of mozzarella on one hunk of tomato. My friend liked his Antipasto salad, though.

I’ll start this off by saying that I am unabashedly Italian-food-difficult. Having grown up in north Jersey/the NYC metro area, I am wary of pizza and restaurants that claim to provide«homemade» goodness, particularly outside of the tri-state area… so, when a colleague directed us to Bambinelli’s for a team dinner, I was naturally apprehensive. The iceberg of my apprehension started to melt, however, when in the small entryway I saw family pictures from multiple generations, and a huge banner congratulating the restaurant on 35 years in business. The fact that Bambi Bambinelli herself recommended a particular table(because she had managed to ensure all the children in the restaurant were seated in a particular area, therefore it would be quieter and more enjoyable) and seated us, didn’t hurt my impression. Jump ahead to our orders — a colleague and I both opted for the house salads and the roasted red pepper and eggplant lasagna, my manager chose the Caesar and a linguine carbonara, and our VP, a Caesar and baked ziti sans ricotta. The food emerged in a reasonable amount of time, hot and fresh. I was particularly impressed by their red sauce — it was fresh and flavorful, without being acidic. The sauce on the lasagna was particularly chunky, and great on the warm garlic rolls that accompanied our meals. For a warm atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly service, Bambinelli’s gets a solid four stars — I need to try their pizza before I can hand over that fifth one!

Expectations were so high after reading the Unilocal reviews. First off it took 10 mins to be greeted and get a drink. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo after seeing good reviews about it. Seriously for $ 16 I could have made this at home. Pasta was blah. No taste to it super bland. Alfredo sauce tasted like ragu you buy at the store abs the shrimp still had the tails on it. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish but I don’t know if I’ll be back here again… Again sad because I was so excited to try it

Came in for a Saturday dinner and I left stuffed. The inside is decorated like a stereotypical Italian family restaurant. There’s a couple small tv’s on the wall if you don’t want to miss the game. It was romantic enough for two, but big seating available for large families also. The garlic knots were delicious and we ordered a meatball appetizer to have some gravy to dip the knots in. The meatballs were cooked and seasoned perfectly and were a great start. I ordered the chicken carbonara, and my wife chose the chicken cannelloni. Both were huge portions! We ate for two days off the meal. Everything was exactly what I wanted. The service was nothing spectacular but it was sufficient. I’m sure I’ll be back the next time I need my pasta fix

Always a pleasure coming back this favorite neighborhood family Italian restaurant. I used to come here often when I lived and work in this area. Now that I moved further North of Atlanta, it’s a treat when I come back for lunch. The service and food has been consistently delicious over the years. My favorite item is always the linguini carbonara. It’s a huge plate of linguini with plenty of grilled chicken and lots of prosciutto in a yummy creamy parmesan sauce. Perfect every single time I order it. I’m sure there are lots of other delicious favorites there but I’m a carbonara gal. Oh, the garlic rolls are amazing. So so good!

Bambinelli’s Italian Restaurant is located at 3202 Northlake Parkway NE, Atlanta GA30345 in a small shopping center that has The Sports Authority as its anchor store, right across from the Sears Catalog Pick-up at Northlake Mall. Bambinelli’s is still consistently one of the best, family owned and independently run Italian restaurants in Atlanta. It’s reasonably priced and you’ll get a good smattering of New York style Sicilian flavors in their pastas, pizzas and specialty dishes. The menu is fairly extensive with several appetizer, salad, sub, pasta and pizza/calzone/stromboli selections. I’ve had many great meals at Bambinelli’s — their pizzas are particularly good, both the deep-dish(be prepared to wait!) and the traditional. If you want the deep dish for lunch, it might be worthwhile to call ahead and get them started on one for you — you’ll be glad you did! If you live in Northcrest(howdy neighbors!) Bambinelli’s is the best local pizza delivery(in my humble opinion). I would call this type of Italian fair«Italian-American» or New York style with influences mostly from Southern Italy with the spicier red tomato sauces, but with a smattering of Northern garlic-y cream sauces. Be prepared to get very full(large portions) and the smell of parmesian cheese hits you when you enter. I’d rank this on par with Ippolito’s and slightly above Provino’s, if you’re familiar with either local chain. Most of my friends really love the garlic knots that are served here — I believe it’s basically pizza dough covered in garlic butter and herbs — do I have to say more? I’m also very fond of their basic sauces so make sure someone at your table orders the spaghetti with sausage or meat balls. The meat balls are also particularly good here. Several of the servers have worked here for many years — it seems every time we go back we still saw familiar faces. There’s plenty of parking in this little corner of the world as the lot is mostly empty during evening hours. Be prepared to wait on weekends — this is a favorite among locals. This restaurant has been here for so many years and I haven’t checked them out! I honestly can’t even tell you why. So, finally my boyfriend and a friend of ours come for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place wasn’t too crowded but it wasn’t dead, either. We were seated near a big party — about 10 or so — and they were so live, it was somewhat entertaining! I’d been hungry all day so I ordered not one but TWO appetizers. I got the fried mozzarella(cheese sticks) BESTFRIEDMOZZARELLA I’VEEVERHAD! The second appetizer were their meatballs. Delicious, especially when paired with the garlic rolls on the table! I was almost full. but by the time the food came out, after 2 or 3 bites I wasn’t hungry any longer. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Cannelloni. This was a dish of big noodles with their lovely chicken, spinach, ricotta cheese and… something else inside. I topped mine with a mix of the white and red sauce. I ended up bringing the rest in for lunch the next day at work. Delicious! I can’t wait to come back. My waiter was blah… not much else to say about him. BUT — if you plan to visit a few more times over the year you should sign up for the rewards program. It costs $ 20 but with 2 visits of $ 50 dinners or more, it pays for itself — then you get all kinds of perks and discounts until the following year. I got it because I’ll definitely come back and the rewards card if incentive for me to return. Plus, it’s like 7 minutes from my house! SCORE =)

Went here a few weeks back and I had such high hopes for this place — Italian is my favorite kind of food. Also, I would like to preface this review by stating out right that I love cheese. Have you ever had something to eat that was flavorless butter and cheese? Like, that’s all it is, no spice, no flavor, just grease and cheese? Well… For starters, the service was seriously lacking, and waited forever for water refills. No salads offered with entrees(isn’t that illegal for Italian restaurants) and the garlic rolls were basically frozen dinner rolls slopped with butter, and cold to boot. The gnocchi appetizer was potato gnocchi *floating in butter, smothered in cheese. Not the good kind of floating in butter and covered in cheese, but the ‘just looking at this makes my stomach hurt,’ kind. I ordered the Chicken Cannelloni, because I read good things about it here. It was a disgusting amount of ricotta(did I mention I love cheese?) wrapped up in overcooked noodles with a questionable amount of chicken inside(still not really sure there was any chicken in there). Then, they top the dish off with, and I really mean this, prego or ragu quality marinara and Alfredo sauce. Again, I can’t even express my regret in having such awful things to say about an establishment. To each their own, maybe you’ll like it better than I did. All I know is I was bummed.

This place was amazing. We had a good server, fast, attentive, and kind. We couldn’t resist eating an entire tray of garlic rolls. They were buttery soft and fresh came to our table piping hot! I ordered the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo very good all the sauces are homemade and delicious by far. My husband ordered the chicken cabollini(spell check) with the mixed sauce he loved it. The mixed sauce is all the rave and it lived up to the hype. Two words GARLICROLLS!!! Addictive and so damn good I wish I could take a dozen home. They are what steels the show. Best little Italian place and will be going back again, it’s worth it to stop by and give it a try.

I am a fan of their meatballs. Chicken Parm was decent/average and the salad was lacking. Marsala actually came in a «soup» — very watery versus a gravy style. We also ordered from them once and they forgot one of the entrée’s but quickly ran back and got it and threw in a cannoli. All-in-all, not bad considering the options in the area and Atlanta’s overall lack of sufficient Italian fare.

Bambinelli’s is a little American-Italian gem just outside of the city. It’s located in a little shopping center across from the Northlake Mall. We probably wouldn’t have known about this place if my husbands business partner didn’t suggest going so our family’s could meet and… eat! haha And we wouldn’t know about it because we live in the city and try to avoid 85/75/all that jazz if we can. It’s a very family friendly sit-down restaurant with hipster-looking staff.(Which was a quirky plus) Lots of men with beards! And every table gets complimentary garlic knots. Very tasty! I got the Chicken Marsala and side house salad. The Chicken Marsala was good. Not as seasoned as I like it, but still very good. And the house salad wasn’t anything to write home about. It had four olives, a ton of onions, a couple tomato slices and mostly just the hard romaine parts. I wish there was shredded parmesan or it was more leafy greens and less crunch. My husband really enjoyed his Gnocchi Quattro Formaggio! TONS of cheesy potato goodness. His favorites. haha It’s located under the appetizers(which can be confusing) but it’s a lot and served like it’s a main dish. It’s also very clean, friendly service and great for groups! I know if we want to go for a drive, or someone asks us about good American-Italian food, we’ll tell them about Bambinelli’s!

If you are a goof like me you will be making up and singing songs with the name Bambinelli in it to embarrass your spouse and kids. You only live once so get some mileage when u can. Great food. Caesar Salad was perfect with a hint of lemon, good quality parm, and crispy romaine. We asked for anchovies and they brought out a whole bunch. Not just two filets on a plate. Like a freaking tub full. Oh man. Salads come in single or family size servings. Family size is plenty for four. The server was a bit confused when I asked about their red gravy. .she kept saying sauce, I kept saying gravy… she caught on… The GRAVY is not the sweet sweet kind, not reddish brown, not homogeneous. Fresh tomatoe(y?). not acidic. Good stuff. I like all styles of red gravy so maybe the above will help u decide if this is your style. Basically it’s a good homestyle family friendly SAUCE. The basghetti was al dente served with the eggplant parm. Huge serving on a huge plate with three udders of mozz. Lasagna was really good with ricotta. .All came out very hot. Pizza is good too. Crispy thin edges cooked on a stone. Lots of cheese. We ordered one cannoli(excellently crisp and fresh) a very good huge portion of tirramisu, and a homestyle bread pudding. The bread pudding was good to me as it was not too sweet. Moist and perfect. Great friendly personable service. This is a very good homespun italian restaurant. Give them a try.
