The staff here was very helpful and trustworthy. As I clearly don’t know much about cars, they did not try to upsell me on unnecessary products/services or take advantage of my lack of knowledge. They fixed my issue for only $ 10, when other shops told me I needed to replace the entire battery.

I had an electrical issue that quite a few mechanics could not solve. I was sent to Joey by a long time transmission guy in Atlanta, Harp on memorial. The problem was that the transmission had been rebuilt, but it was still not working correctly. Going in N in 3rd, starting in 2nd, feels like slipping, etc. I was late getting there, but Joey dropped what he was doing and ran some tests to diagnose the problem. We went on a test drive, and he did dome more tests, then back to the shop. A little more testing, and the answer, bad computer. Which is great news, cause you can find the for about $ 50 at most parts yards, they just have to be programmed, which they can do at the shop. I wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone there. Total cost. Zero, nada, nothing.

This shop was recommended to me by a friend who works in auto parts. The shop itself is very humble-looking, and you might drive right past it if you weren’t looking. I’ve never had a cheaper, more reliable mechanic. The only reason it’s not five stars is that they’re a little limited in what they can provide, and occasionally they’ll send me to another shop(they don’t do any tire rotation, limited on some exhaust issues). They happen to be within walking distance of my workplace, which makes life a lot easier for this old-car owner. But they are conveniently located across the street from the North Avenue MARTA station, as well as walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, and Barnes and Noble(at Georgia Tech). They have a decent waiting room, but why wait when midtown is your oyster?
