The doctor was good. The staff is horrible, and possibly crooked. I will not be back. When it came time to pay, the girl checking me out got a post-it note and pencil and did the calculations of how much I owed on the paper. She erased and re-calculated several times before coming up with a final number. When I asked her to explain her calculations to me, it was very unclear how she arrived at that number. For my glasses and contacts I paid almost $ 1,000 with eye insurance. I requested contacts that had a $ 100 mail-in rebate, but I needed an itemized receipt to mail in– the girl told me that they would give me an official receipt once their system was back up and that it would only take a few days. I agreed to pay because I really needed the contacts and I figured that if her math was bad, that they would give me the difference. Well, over the course of a month, I called several times and I was always told that the person who needed to call me back was not in and that she would call me back that day. No one ever called. I gave up after calling 8+ times. I’m not sure if the people working here are crooked, lazy, stupid, or a combination of the three– but either way, STAYAWAY. There are too many choices in the Atlanta area to risk your $$ with them. Also, the girl doing the math on the paper told me that her dad is the doctor. I guess that is why she is still working there because all of the complaints on here seem to be about her. Daddy needs to cut the cord.

The eye dr is great. One person is awful, Kristen. Was given a contact, it caused severe irritation, called and left many messages, no one called back. I went to office was told I owed money which I didn’t, I only had services covered under my benefits. Then after waiting 2 weeks for my new contacts found out that my contacts were never ordered. Kristen is extremely rude, smug and unhelpful. Now my benefits are used up, I have no contacts, no eye glass prescription and no one will return my calls. DONOTGOHERE!

I have tried this place twice. M y only issue is the untimely responses on receiving my lenses. I have never dealt with a place that I have to track down to find our where my contacts are. Not only do they not return phone calls they have a lack of urgency when your not right in front of your face. The customer service otherwise is great but beware you will have to track them down to order. Which I feel is a shame.

My mother who is 92 and has severe vision problems felt that Dr. Jones could help her. Dr. Jones agreed that her opthamologist was wrong and glasses could help. We were told her glasses would be available at the end of the week. The glasses were not available until almost 3 weeks later. I did call the office several times and left messages and no answer and no return call. Finally I went to the office. I was not treated well. The office staff was dismissive. I was told to come back after 3 pm when Dr. Jones would be in the office. I did return and waited where I was told for about an hour for Dr. Jones to see me. When Dr. Jones finally did see me he told me I had abused his staff. He subsequently said he was sorry for the confusion and said I did nothing wrong. The glasses did improve my mothers sight to some degree for which I am truly grateful. The unprofessional treatment I received was uncalled for. I don’t have severe eye problems and wouldn’t refer anyone to this business.

Came here for an eyetest and the doctor was helpful, friendly and knew what he was doing. But everyone else there was just atrocious. Once I’d finished the test and told the woman at the desk that I wanted new lenses in my glasses and handed them to her, she clearly had no idea what to do with them. It was as if I’d asked her for a short back and sides. In the end I ordered contact lenses from them, which turned out to be a big mistake. I’ve never waited more than 3 days for contacts when I’ve ordered them from an optometrist. Even the shady canadian site I order from takes 5 days or less. From these clowns I had to wait a week and a half. The first time my wife went in to see if they were ready, the staff ignored her for 30 minutes. When she tried again a few days later they had the nerve to charge $ 70 for a contact follow up test. First of all, given that they took so long to come in, they should’ve apologized. Second, I paid for the test and the contacts when I came in. There was certainly no follow up visit. If someone forgot to charge me the $ 70 then, that’s on them. To extort more money out of me when I go to pick my contacts was messed up.

Great place, very friendly. I wasn’t looking for a new pair but rather needed some eyeglasses fixed. Since the glasses need welding this shop wasn’t able to help but the nice lady who was helping me explained what needs to be done and where to get help. A+ on customer service.

Recently found out I need glasses. Ventured up 285 and tried out Atlanta Eye Shop and had a great visit. The staff walked me through what to expect, my concerns with wearing classes, and helped me find a pair that I love! Would recommend a visit to anyone new to the world of eyeglasses or just looking for an eye doctor that you actually enjoy going to see.
