For me it’s a five star for the staff: Long and Wan at the airport location. They were above general customer service. They cared and just added a little extra touch. The client before me who was unknown to me and I were talking about it. Wan guided us perfectly as of what to order according to what we needed and Long made sure she served meat and a balance pick of ingredients in the brocoli/beef. She didn’t have to. She didn’t need to care. She did. Some people are just natural at doing a good job, they’re effortless in doing the right thing in everything they do.

Other reviewers are not exaggerating — food is disgusting. Flies inside the take out container. Took one bite and realized it was better to Rios $ 12 worth of food than to risk getting sick. And trust me, likelihood of getting ill here is high. McDonalds would even be a better option. Wow. Only other option at the end of Term A is a sealed in smoking bar that serves food. Really Atlanta? Shameful — another reason in a long list to avoid connections thru ATL if at all possible.

This one is on the B concourse in the ATL airport and it’s really bad. Rice isn’t cooked well. Meat doesn’t look fresh. Poor quality. My mistake in not checking Unilocal prior to eating here

Cooked to order food isn’t good, so don’t think the low ratings are from the trough. The rest is terrible. I make frequent flights to Boston and sometimes forget which airport I’m in, walk all the way to the end of A Gate and remember there’s no restaurant down here. Hoof it back 10 minutes to McDonalds? Nah, I’m sure Asian Chao«Oriental» Eatery is good enough and my memories are just an exaggeration. Dammit it is NOT. I’m literally writing this review so the next time I stop here, if I check the app my review will remind me not to be a fool. HOOFIT!

Easily the worst«Asian» food I have ever had. The lo mein had an overpowering strange burnt taste while also ha being the consistency of flour paste. The«general tso» tastes like its main ingredient is ketchup, sesame chicken is just a sweet tasteless sauce. This place is a travesty to Asian food. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered Shrimp Fried rice, which is made to order. I think its the worst one I ever ate. The rice is litterly fried. Its became hard and uneatable. I had to just eat the shrimp and throw the rest away. Its also has lot of oil and taste less.

Not recommended. I had beef with broccoli and Li mein. It was all bad. The brocolli was over cooked, the beef was cheap and chewy and the Li mein was greasy. Ugh!

Do not eat here if you have a taste for Asian food because you will be disgusted. I had the sesame chicken and mixed veggies and my stomach is still churning. I am really bothered by a place that can mess up steamed veggies. Most of my meal end up in the trash.

I had the teriyaki chicken with steamed rice and veggies cooked to order. It was really good. It was a relief to have something almost healthy and fresh for me to eat. It was also a reasonable price and a lot of food, I could not eat it all.

Um, not really sure what to say except do not eat here… because it is at the end of Terminal A, the traffic to this restaurant is likely low and I made the mistake of ordering the General Tso. It must have been cooked the day before… yuck! Really, it was old tasting and… I lack the proper adjective in my vocabulary to describe this food. If you must eat here, order something from the made to order list…

Egg roll was actually okay($ 1.56). Fried rice was not good. Tasteless, and actually had a rock in it.($ 3.45) No joke, there was a small rock in the rice. I know it’s airport food, but I would stay away.

The other day I was thinking that it had been a while since I’d had Chinese food. After eating here, it’s still been a while as this certainly didn’t qualify. I was hoping that as time passed this place would improve but clearly that isn’t the case. Pitiful is one word to describe it. Terrible is another. The previous reviewers are right — the food has no taste. None! I don’t ever remember eating«fried rice» and not being able to differentiate it from white rice. And the worst part is that there were little pieces of carrots and egg in essentially white rice doused in soy sauce. I tried to order the teriyaki chicken but the grill had just closed. So, I had to settle on the general Tso’s chicken. At least that’s what they called it. It was just some partially fried chicken(maybe) drenched in a brown semi-sweet sauce. I did something I almost never do — got food at a place without consulting Unilocal first. After ordering, I opened Unilocal and to my dismay, this is what I saw — 1 and 2 star reviews. Well, I guess that’s what I get!

This place is horrendous. The service was fantastic, BUT the food nearly inedible. Alas we know-great service does not satiate even the least carnal appetite. The Asian Themed storefront makes Panda Express look gourmet. I went for Asian Chao as I love«Asian Food» and thought it was impossible to mess up… the silent rage and remorse I felt upon realizing the shocking hand I had been dealt. Yucky beef and broccoli? You’re doing it wrong… I challenge any Unilocalers to try for yourself-I dare you!

Yes, this is airport food … BUT shouldn’t it at least be semi-edible? I ordered the beef and broccoli, noodles, General Tso’s chicken, and an egg roll. They were all equally awful and so not worth the $ 9. Please stick to the commercial businesses, where you know what to expect. :/

Food is not great, but what can you expect from Airport Food??? Well, Panda Express and Pei Wei in the farther concourses(E and F) will be better choices.

Airport food. Nothing puts a frown on my face like those two words. During my most recent layover at Jackson-Hartfield I was looking for Panda Express(didn’t find it) so I could fill up on vegetable stir fry. Asian Chao was an alright substitute. I was able to get a side of veggies(way overpriced compared to Panda) and add some soy sauce to make it palatable. Like I said, it was alright and definitely beat some of the heavier alternatives in the airport.

Must be super desperate to eat at Asian chao. General Tao chx is really soggy and very fatty. Fried tofu was edible, though the mystery source can be overwhelming. I’d say if Chinese is your poison, try to find panda express at terminal 2 or 3, they seem to have much better turn around on food and Offering better quality Chinese… oh well they are airport.

I should have just gone hungry. Bland, bland, bland… I understand the place is in the airport, but does that mean they should serve bad food and we should accept it? Who cares where the restaurant is located? Crappy food is crappy food… and this is crappy food. Skip this place and save your money. Wait until you get to your concourse and eat there. I will not go back.

Dreadful. Whitney B. opines that«it’s Chinese food in an airport, what do you expect?» It’s that kind of stupid attitude that gets us bad food. If you refuse to eat at a place like that, they’d either have to improve or close up — either way we would win — instead of eating shitty food. As someone who loves authentic Asian food — having been born and spent the first decade of his life in Asia — I can appreciate — when circumstances dictate — a «Panda Express» experience. This is like«Crap Express.» No good. Food has sat there for way too long and is carelessly cooked with an overabundance of sauce. There’s the wrap place and the hot dog place and the southern food place all next door. Get those, not this.

I am not sure what people are complaining about. It is a fast food Chinese place inside an airport. What do you expect? My flight was on time, but we had to sit on the tarmac for over a half hour, decreasing my layover time, forcing me to find something to eat fast. I was going to get a sandwich from the Wall St Deli, but I did not feel like waiting in line decreasing my time even more or spending 9 bucks on a sandwich that looked like it was going to taste worse than Subway, so I came here instead. And for the same amount of money, I got chicken, chow mein, veggies and a drink. Was the food wonderful? No. Was it bad? No. It was what I expected. It was just like any other fast food Chinese place I’ve ever been to. Ok, so it’s not Panda Express, but who cares. The chicken was cooked just fine. The noodles were fine. The veggies were buttery. At least it had butter flavor instead of no flavor. Everything was fully stocked, so I didn’t have to get the bottom of the barrel. They even had veggie options. So, quityerbitchin. You’re at an airport, not the Ritz.

I had some of the«food» using the term loosely here. Unfortunately, it was as bad as I thought it might be. 3 of the dishes look identical, but have 3 different names. I got 2 – 3 pounds of «stuff» Spend $ 10 somewhere else.

You can’t expect too much from an airport eatery. Even the casual joints in airports tend to dole out cuisine that can barely be called food. Asian Chao is not fantastic. It is edible, though, and even verges on tasty. Also, it is one of those rare airport eateries that offers some vegetarian options. They have a mixed vegetable dish, a tofu dish, and I believe veggie spring rolls, in addition to the to-be-expected lo mien or fried rice.

Disgusting, disgusting, and more disgusting. So I’m at the airport, looking for a quickie dinner. There are moments in my life when I focus more on the amount of food received per dollar spent compared with the actual quality of it… And truth was, I was absolutely starving, so I looked to maximize the food intake per dollar. They have these combos — something like $ 6 and change for any two items plus either rice or noodles. I decided to get only 1 item plus noodles, but they still charge you the full amount(then why did they write a large«1» on my box??). Stupid. Everything was super duper slimy and greasy, and all tasted the same. I had the lo mein and tofu. The tofu was basically nonexistent — it was a goopy mess of onions more than anything. When I pay for overpriced Chinese, I at least want the protein intake that I pay for! Only plus side is that service is really fast.

None of the Concourse A fast-food seems particularly appetizing, so pick yer poison. I had the broccoli beef and some mixed vegetables. It didn’t make me sick, so two stars.

Located right behind you as you come up the escalators in terminal A, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill Chinese fast-food joint. Most of the food is decent, but nothing to write home about. The food is perhaps a little too saucy. Service is relatively quick, which is a good plus for those looking to wolf down some calories(a tiny packet of biscoff biscuits isn’t going to do it…) before running off to catch their flights. One notable highpoint is the chicken wings. They’re just fried chicken wings(no sauce), but the outside is nice and crispy without requiring a huge dunk in batter, and the inside is nice and moist. Actually reminds me a little of the fried wings you get at Gladys Knight’s. The wings alone would get 4 stars, but the rest is ho-hum average, hence the final rating of 3.
