Avoid this store at all costs. They replaced the battery on my Edifice watch and charged me an extra $ 10 because the back was«screwed on» and because they said it had two batteries. A week after I picked it up, I noticed condensation on the crystal, even though I had not been in the water with it. I returned to the store and was told that they didn’t guarantee water resistance after a battery change, and had no way to pressure test the watch. I complained for a few minutes, and they offered to send it to a real repair shop to have the gasket properly sealed and tested. Two weeks later, the watch comes back with a note saying«this watch is water resistant, not water proof». I pointed out that, printed on the back of the watch, it says water resistant to 20 bar(667) feet and Casio lists it as appropriate for scuba diving. If you value your watch, find another store for service.

There are thousands of jewelry stores in Atl to choose from; there are less than a handful that are consistent, knowledgeable, offer quality jewelry that you can pass down to generations. If you just want a flashy ring(poor quality/cheap) to flaunt to your friends or need a quick(but sloppy) repair that will be ready in 24 hrs; this is not the place for you. I am certainly not a wealthy person but I believe that you get what you pay for.

This has got to be the best jewelry store I’ve ever been to, hands down. Although my(now fiancé) didn’t purchase the ring from Alexander’s, he went to them to get a ring guard and after he popped the question and I said yes, we went back together to get it re-sized to fit my small fingers. The resizing ended up taking about 10 days due to a large number of pieces that needed attention from the jeweler who comes to the store every week to make repairs in house, but I didn’t mind — I knew it was in good hands, and it came back fitting perfectly. That’s all I could ask for. Every time we’ve been in there we end up chatting for at least half an hour with the staff because they couldn’t be nicer people. Talk about a dramatic change from the hard sell or pretentiousness you get in most jewelry stores. This place is awesome. Alexander’s is a very fine jewelry store and who knows, we may end up ordering our wedding bands from them.

We had such a great experience with Alexander’s of Atlanta! My fiancé, Marc, worked closely with Jeff Alexander to find me the PERFECT diamond! Marc reached out to Jeff in early May and discussed with him EXACTLY what he was looking for! When the diamond came in, Jeff worked closely with Marc to discuss settings and design. They called it «operation ice»!! :) Marc lives in Tampa and relied heavily on Jeff’s expertise and eye to ensure the diamond was perfect! Jeff even had it engraved with our nickname for one another — the perfect touch! Two weeks ago — Operation Ice was a SUCCESS! We are engaged and it is the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen! Thank you for working so closely to ensure an amazing ring that will last us a lifetime!

The best part about all of this after the owner read my review he contacted my manager of the bank i worked for,(him also being a client) in an attempt to have my manager force me to remove the review. Instead of trying to correct the situation, VERRYDISTASTEFULMOVE.

I had a very pleasant experience at Alexander’s recently. They were very helpful with selecting an item that was in my budget and was in the style I was seeking. There were several people in the store at the time and they all seemed to be receiving attention. The prices appeared to be very reasonable.

I would not recommend Alexanders for your watch repair. I gave them two starts b/c they were able to do the basics(i.e. battery replace and straps) but if its anything beyond that, I would not trust them with my watches. You are better of using Bowers on Cheshire Bridge. I dropped off a watch at Alexanders and after two weeks they informed me that the repair would be over $ 100 to do(that’s after taking a fee to diagnose it). When I went to Bowers, the guy said it was a matter of zeroing out the watch. A repair that took minutes. Shame on Alexanders for posing as a legitimate watch repair place. The staff there is also not very pleasant or helpful. Avoid this place.

I had a bracelet repaired at Alexander’s and did some Christmas shopping there while I waited. But I certainly will never buy anything there. The store is almost a parody of itself — staff is snooty and borderline hostile, and I don’t need that treatment when there are dozens of other warm, inviting jewelry stores in Atlanta. The repair work was good but took a week.

Very rude and intimidating customer service. The gentleman didn’t hear the fact that I wanted an appraisal, but assumed I was trying to sell the diamond ring to him. He said, «We do not sell this type of jewelry here. The diamond looks like broken glass.» He had the audacity to hand me his magnifying glass, I reiterated, «I just want an appraisal.» I didn’t expect this humiliation considering they share a building with a grocery store.

Great customer service. I brought my watch in to be sized and got my girlfriends ring size. No pressure atmosphere and I’ll probably go back in the future.

I have used Alexander’s a couple of times for watch repair and battery replacement and was completely happy with the price and their work. Recently I took some scrap gold to them and received a very fair price for it. I feel they are knowledgable, trustworthy and very pleasant to deal with.

My jewelry needs are much more pedestrian than Jill G’s. I have a water-resistant wristwatch whose battery died a while back, and I’ve been asking around at mall kiosks about the cost of replacing the battery properly(i.e., while maintaining the water-resistant seal). At the mall, I’m consistently quoted $ 25 or more. Yesterday, at Alexander’s, I had a damn good jeweler do the job for $ 13.95. He set the date and time before handing it back to me, and explained apologetically that he couldn’t set my birthday because he didn’t know it, and wasn’t sure why a watch needed to know that anyway.(To calculate my optimum heart rate during exercise.) I’ll be back when this battery dies!

Best Jewelry Store Ever. The service is personal, and the prices are unbelievable. A white gold man’s wedding band with a princess cut diamond in the center was almost $ 3000 at Solomon Brother’s. I paid less than $ 500 at Alexander’s of Atlanta. The same quality of metal and diamonds. Yes, I’m totally serious. They are designing my wedding band from scratch– platinum, little less than .5 carats in diamonds, milgrain and filigree– $ 1500. If you have any fine jewelry needs go here.
