I had a superior experience at this AAMCO location. I took my PT Cruiser in because it was having trouble starting. I called on a Tuesday morning, trying to set up an appointment, and they said they could take it immediately, which is so convenient. (When your car won’t start, you need service ASAP). They took my concerns very seriously and I felt as though they were invested in thoroughly understanding the problems that the car was having. I was very impressed by the free 20-​point inspection (I think it was 20, it could have been more). They found 2 small things wrong besides the battery, but did not try to sell me more service than I had asked for. They ordered a part, replaced the battery and a breaklight, tested the car thoroughly, and got the car back to me within a few hours! The absolute best thing about my experience was the phone calls I received updating me on the progress. The phone manners were some of the best I have experienced, and they made sure that I understood everything they were doing completely. I had some questions about the mechanics, and they patiently and thoroughly explained everything, without trying to sell me any more service. They gave me news about my car as if it were my child. Now, I don’t feel that way about my car, but I know that some people do, and would appreciate that. I was also quoted a very fair price, in my experience, and was even given a Georgia Tech student discount that I didn’t know existed, without having to ask! Thank y’all so much, AAMCO, for the great experience. I really appreciate having a mechanic that I feel I can trust. I’ll be recommending this place to my friends!

The service at this Aamco was excellent. I had to have my transmission rebuilt. It was not cheap but transmissions repair is expensive.
In the end I was more than satisfied with the work, and the service.
I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Technician «Miles“at this location was very rude (5÷13÷15) Went as far as to hang up the phone on me because he became frustrated with questions I had regarding my front end differiantal. If they are not able to conduct themselves in a professional manner over the phone and this is how you allow your techs to treat your customers, not only will I never bring my car there for service, I will make sure that I tell everyone about my experience so they do the same. Horrible customer service!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Long story short i got charged $ 190 for them to tell me whats wrong with it. It was going to be a total of $ 800 to fix an item that they «think» might be the problem if not it was a full transmission rebuild which would be $ 2K-​$ 3K. i said no and took it to another shop and they said nothing was busted just a couple connectors were loose/​corroded and it cost me $ 125. Glad i saw the signs of a shitty shop early enough

Brought my car here after the service engine light came on. I ended up having to spend a pretty penny for a new catalytic converter, but I really appreciate the time Rodney spent walking me through the process and giving me advice on general car maintenance. The whole process took less than 48 hours and they were very polite, professional and easy to work with.
They also took my car to get an emissions inspection for me without any additional fee, just reimbursement for the price of the test. They certainly didn’t have to do this but I appreciated it!
The only thing keep me from giving them 5 stars is that when I took in the car, I had a half tank of gas left. On my drive home from the place, my gas light came on. Not sure what they were doing that took up that much gas but I’ll count my losses here.

I took my car to this AAMCO when my engine came on in my four year old VW Jetta. They were good enough to tell me their diagnosis showed it was something to do with the exhaust which VW apparently has an extended warranty on the particular issue. They urged me to take the car to the dealership where the bulk of the work would be covered by the warranty. They were polite, thorough and honest!

Do not take your vehicle to this place, you will certainly regret it. I took my Lexus here for transmission work after Lexus quoted me around $ 4000. Aamco of course told me the repair would be much cheaper here, saying it would cost around $ 2000. When they broke my transmission down the repair then skyrocketed to $ 6000.
I no longer wanted them to do the repair, but they told me the cost would be $ 1500 for them looking into the transmission, so I was pretty much stuck. After I paid that ridiculous amount, which was far more than Lexus was going to charge me, I picked my car up and the entire car smelled like someone was chain smoking cigarettes in my car for weeks. I called the manager and told him my car was covered in cigarette smoke and his reply was «what do you want me to do about it?» Are you kidding me?
This place is very unprofessional and they could care less about their customers, they care only about your money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I called the corporate office who said they will put me in touch with the owner. Hopefully he is more professional than his staff.

I took my car here for a pre-​sale evaluation, and left with only exceptional things to say about them and their evaluation.
Let me first start by explaining what happened to me at a different mechanic shop three days before I took it here. The review for that mechanic can be found here:
. They recommended a total of $ 3 – 4000 in unnecessary repairs. In addition to the one unnecessary fix I already listed in that review (right rear caliper), those mechanics also told me I needed to replace the front brakes and rotors, fluid flushes of every system you could possibly get that done for, power steering rack, car battery (which I bought brand new a year ago), and more. Meineke, who fixed my car prior to my visit to that shop, said the only thing wrong with my car was the left rear caliper. They said the right rear caliper wasn’t locked up, but the left one was, which is why my brakes were squeaking. Therefore, because that car evaluation was inconsistent with my car’s condition, I took my car to AAMCO to get a new evaluation.
AAMCO found 3 – 4 things wrong with my car that cost a total of about $ 225. They mentioned replacing the belts, the air filter, and adjusting the e-​brake. As for the power steering rack (at least a $ 1000 fix), they mentioned that the amount of moisture on the boot component of the power steering rack wasn’t enough to warrant that maintenance.
It’s hard to find an honest mechanic when it really counts; for me, these guys were it.

I took my 4wd truck here after noticing some slippage when I drove. They had the truck for a week or so and replaced the transmission for around $ 2400. It seemed to work fine until I realized that it would no longer go into 4wd mode. Keep in mind that the 4wd worked fine before I dropped the truck off the first time. I dropped it off for a second time only to be told that the new transmission was so good and efficient that the old 4wd module just couldn’t handle it. For this, I was charged another $ 800. I still can’t fathom why a transmission shop would believe that the 2wd and 4wd repairs would need to be described as separate repairs. I paid it reluctantly and was again told that they had checked everything else and I was in good shape. A few days later I noticed that there was fluid leaking and that my backup lights weren’t working and figured that a wire had gotten disconnected mistakenly. Again, the truck goes back to the shop. The manager, Denny, told me it was just coincidence but that the power steering pump was also broken and that some electrical part called a «pigtail» needed to be replaced. This was another $ 700 – 800. A few weeks later, the new pump started leaking but I was afraid to take it back for fear of something else breaking. Looking back, I wish they had given me some shop grease before screwing me so hard.

My wife took our car there after being told by a different shop that it needed a $ 2300 transmission rebuild. After looking at it the manager, Miles, explained what the problem really was and would cost under $ 300! He was patient explaining things to my wife then to me over the phone. They fixed it the same day and it has been running great ever since. Thanks for being so honest and knowledgable and saving us $ 2000!!! We will be bringing all our vehicles here from now on.

This place is absolutely horrible. If you want to go to a place with crooked mechanics who sell you on a whole bunch of stuff your car doesn’t need, this is your place. I went in with a transmission glitch, they proceeded to take apart my drivers side window (and break it so it does not roll down) and advised I needed some radiator work which I let them do. Now the radiator fan wont work and they claim that neither problem was their fault and will not fix either. Not sure how AAmco has not taken their franchise agreement away. Poorly skilled, dishonest mechanics.
