Can’t wait to go back on a nice sunny summer day. Great course. Beautifully manicured. Just wish the snacks were more available though I bet that’s because it was drizzling when we went.

I used to work here. Out of the 5 other restaurants I’ve worked at this place is the cleanest! They get fresh food and the cooks put a lot of time and effort into the recipes. They take pride in their work. I enjoyed working here! They try very hard to keep the people who walk in happy! Excellent food too! Although I worked there for almost 5 years and have been gone for 2 now I am still craving there food! I love the Atkinson country club!

Very much enjoyed staying here, highly recommend. The person at the front desk set the tone, asking me if I had eaten since arriving in NH. Despite the kitchen being closed she made sure I got a sandwich. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the 18th hole. I slept so well, I almost missed my tee time! The golf pro paired me with two of the club members, who gave me advice on the course and were very friendly. They even pointed out good pictures for me to take. After my round, I sat on the patio and had one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Perfectly toasted bun, light dressing. The only excuse not to try it is a severe allergy! There’s really nothing negative to report, and that’s rare!

Delicious! My all time favorite place. Prices are extremely reasonable and the food is amazing! The scenery and gardens just top off a great experience in dining.

Review #400 This is one of the area’s première country club’s and even if you don’t golf there is plenty to do. The grounds are immaculate, far moreso than any other club in the area. The Stage Coach Grill and Merrill’s Tavern are both fantastic with friendly staff and quick service. They offer very affordable breakfasts(cheaper than you’d think) 7 days a week and the best and most enormous Sunday brunch buffet September through May with dozens of breakfast and lunch options alongside an omelette and waffle station. The lunch and dinner menus are impressive and the chicken parm and salmon are favorites. The terrace is a fantastic place to sit in the nice weather. While attending weddings here, they were incredibly helpful to the bride and went out of the way to make the day special. They had various packages and the outside features a gorgeous gazebo and fountains for outdoor weddings and pictures. They tavern has pool tables and virtual gold for the less than stellar days and winters. Swing by and check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Dinner on the outdoor patio can’t be beat! This is the best place to have dinner outside in the area. The staff is great and the food is amazing. We love coming here!

When they first opened it seemed like the staff was intent on making sure whatever you were doing(golfing, eating, drinking) that you were happy. Over the years it seems like the attitude has shifted toward they’re doing you a favor by allowing you to be a patron. It’s as if they want to be a private club. I like the golf because it’s the only challenging course in the general area. But, the food isn’t as good as it used to be. The staff isn’t as friendly. And the overall experience isn’t as pleasurable. For the money they charge you should be able to expect more.

Nice place with slightly sub par food… The restaurant is up scale as is the bar. Descent place to watch a game or hit the 19th hole… To their credit, they do have an outstanding Sunday brunch that will leave you in a deep food coma all afternoon…

Been several times this summer to play the par 3 course and 18 hole course. Conditions consistently superb. Greeters and pro shop staff are very friendly and helpful.

I really wish this place was as good as it once was. Haven’t tried dinner here for over a year. Nice night to sit on the patio. Good drinks… but the entrées underwhelmed. Ordered a cheeseburger medium rare with rings … got a cheeseburger well done with fries. Sure… yeah…really wanted that. The filet mignon, at $ 34, too chewey. Oh well… it will be at least another year before we try here again… hopefully the food improves by then.

We were married here last year(did a separate review of that on the wedding websites.) We used the rewards points that we got from our wedding and celebrated our anniversary. We got the romantic rendezvous package. The package included 1 night in one of the suites, either a shared app for two or two soups, and any entrée of the menu. It also included $ 10 off breakfast the next day. We shared the spin dip, which we had previously had an love. I got the lobster casserole, which had a light buttery wine sauce and crumb topping and I chose sweet potato fries for the side. the size was large and the casserole had tail, knuckle, and claw meat… they surely did not skimp on the meat! This was BY far one of the best meals I have ever had! My husband got the filet mignon with shallot jam, gorgonzola mousse and a baked potato on the side. He also loved his meal and said it was in the top three best filets that he has ever had; he actually cut it with his fork at one point. For dessert, we got the Limóncello cake, but did not eat it until the next day. it was also delicious. We golfed at the par 3 on both days, which is such a beautiful course. There is not one complaint that we have about the entire country club, wedding, dining, stay, and golf. This is one of our favorites places to go!

My husband and I went to Atkinson Country Club to celebrate our Anniversary. The hostess walked us over to our table ;my husband who is never cold agreed that it was way too cold so we asked to sit outside instead. We were seated, at my feet the whole time was a dirty cigarrete butt. The waitress, Lori, who should have been in a nursing home, came over coughing in her hand, did not offer rolls so I asked for them. The waitress brought the rolls and coughed in her hand again then went off leaving us with no plates, after a while I got up to ask another employee for plates… she brought two plates instead of three. the waitress came back and coughed in her hand again. I ordered a salad and asked about the ranch dressing, I felt shamed because I was only eating salad and I don’t drink while i eat becuase I get too full. My husband ordered steak and shrimp, it was very good, my son had pasta that had water at the bottom of the bowl but he didn’t care and ate it anyway. She forgot to bring his milk so he waited and waited for it. The waitress brought a sample of the dressing and told me to stick my finger in it to see if I liked it, I did not so I asked for blue cheese with my salad. My salad came with the ranch dressing that I did not want! Throughout the meal the waitress repeatedly asked if I wanted a drink; when I declined she said ok il’e stop it with the questions and left without clearing our stacked up plates! The waitress gave us the wrong check totaling $ 120.00 rather than ours being $ 70.00, when my husband brought it to her attention she ranted that while it was her error, we would not have over paid because she had to put the table # in with the check and it would have kicked it out. Well my husband almost just left the cash in with the bill on the table. Infact we could have easily overpaid. I called to talk to the day manager, Bill, the next day who was glad I called and thanked me for calling to let him know… that was it! We will never go back. Update: initially gave it a one star but Unilocal admittedly does not like to post anything lower than three stars!!!

I recently attended a wedding at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club and found it to be a beautiful venue for such an event. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all held in the Brookside State Room. The space is simply stunning with its very high ceilings, modern overhead/up-lighting, perfectly draped window adornments, and table set up. Behind the head table were windows overlooking the outside gardens, gazebo, and waterfall. Quite picturesque if you ask me! This was the first time I had witnessed a ceremony from my reception table. I kind of liked it though… there were two rows of seating for immediate family on the dance floor where the couple exchanged vows. A staircase led down to this space where the wedding party entered(quite carefully I might say). Following the couple’s departure as husband and wife, the bar opened up and guests mingled for cocktail hour. There was a nice spread of fruits, veggies, crackers, and cheeses to nibble on. Staff walked around offering other edibles such as shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, etc. The main meal commenced in no time and our tables were served a tasty Vegetable Minestrone Soup, Bread Rolls, Caesar Salad, Filet Mignon w. Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes and Asparagus, and Wedding Cake w. an Ice Cream Truffle. I enjoyed everything very much… especially the ice cream! What took away a star for me was the vague enforcement of some of their stated rules. On a very small framed sign at the bar, there were rules such as «no drinks with more than three mixed liquors» and«no shots». I get that. There was a rule«no drinks on the dance floor». I get why they have this rule as well… slippery dance floors = risk. What annoys me about the rule is that some people would be asked to leave the dance floor, while others standing right next to them were free to continue to boogy away with drink in hand. Either have the rule or don’t. In any case, beautiful venue, good times.

The brunch is average. It has definitely gone down hill in the past few years. it is $ 20.95 for an adult. We went this weekend, with a large group. I agree with other reviews that the omelet and waffle stations are great. The carving station had ham and prime rib. In the buffet there was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, banana crepes, one chicken dish, one rice dish and a mixed veggie. The salad station had a couscous, and green salad. I would have liked to see a fish dish, maybe some shrimp, and a pasta dish. The food is basic. Nothing fancy or really impressive. I think for the price there should have been more entrees and variety. With this spread its not worth more than $ 16.00 for adults… The wait staff is attentive. Management is fair. Desserts and fruit were not replenished.

We dined here for lunch on a weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! We had a great meal by the fire downstairs, the soup was delicious(french onion and beef/vegetable.) Our waitress was such a darling and so attentive to our needs. Our meals were fresh and well made(I had the lettuce wraps while he had the cheeseburger.) While we were too full for dessert, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely back for the winter weekend brunch!

We live nearby and are there several times a week. Always dependable. Not gourmet food, but very acceptable with some selections better than others. Children are welcomed and wait staff very friendly.

Wow– I cannot believe the negative reviews. I go to the ACC at least every other week and I have not had a bad meal yet. Their specials are very different and every meal I have had has been cook perfectly. My favorite, hands down, is their prime rib. The favor is amazing and it is always cooked to order, which for me is medium to medium rare. I also love their salmon, which is always cooked to my liking. Their sides are always very good. From their steamed spinach to fingerling potatoes, they change it up a bit. My daughter loves their chowders as well as their haddock. Baked or in fish and chips, it is always good. the staff is always courteous, food fresh and on time, hot when served. Great atmosphere. I could only think negative reviews are from other area restaurants trying to compete?

Went today for Easter Sunday Brunch($ 40). It should have been call breakfast because there was next to no lunch style food and the staff is expecting you to leave fast. The breakfast food was OK at best, and staff was annoying. Usually if I notice the staff at a buffet style meal like this, it’s a bad thing. The typical removing plates before you finish, and never even asked us for coffee. You had to walk across the world to get it(and other drinks) then walk back squeezing through tables to get to yours. Also, had a party of 10 with young kids. Not Any kid foods, pizza or fingers etc. Do not recommend.

This is the first time I have been here since the fire. The Tavern is closed upstairs, so you have to go into the downstairs dining room. It was packed with snooty people, actually. Just really not my style. We only got a couplabeahs and they didn’t have a very good selection on tap, so Guiness it was. The menu selection was pricey. We didn’t get anything for this reason. The guy next to me got fried fish and it smelled like fish. Pew. Oh, and my husband got lost trying to leave the restaurant(inside) and ended up in the hotel part… maybe it was tricky, but my instincts tell me he probably had one too many.
