Maintenence and staff let themselves into the apartment whenever they want. They’re not supposed to enter if I’m home, but they do anyway. They’ve come in while I’m sleeping, showering, and whenever else they feel like. There’s also a problem with German cockroaches, house centipedes, stink bugs, and wasps. The extermination guy they use can’t even do anything to fix the problem. The floors are paper thin. The thermostat barely works– it’s either freezing cold or blisteringly hot. The water in the apartment barely gets hot enough to shower with. This apartment complex is dirty and unpleasant to live in. Do not move here.

I live hear from 2014 – 2015, the people in the offices are nice. But I cannot live with mouse any more. I literally do what I can to stop them poop in the kitchen table. I felt so desperate wake up by cleaning mouse poop everyday.

Good cheap place to live with friendly staff. Some problems with insects and maintenance but none cause an alarm.

I lived here from 2012 – 2014. The prices are good for a good amount of space. The pool and gym are great, and maintenance is usually quick to repair problems. When we moved into our apartment, it was not even close to as nice as the model. It smelled like cigarettes, so much stuff was broken, the carpets were stained, and the paint was flaking off on the baseboards. The office staff communicate poorly and are not helpful at all. The staff turn-over rate is very high. Recently, Lakeside let Charter come into our apartments with no notification or permission to turn cable off in our bedrooms. We came home to find that someone had been in our apartment and none of our cable worked. We were then told after asking the staff, that we would have to go to Charter on our own to get new cable boxes and have them installed ourselves.

I lived here during its transition from University Commons to College Park(Aug 2006-Aug 2007), so things might have changed a little bit. At the time, I paid $ 365/month for one bedroom in a fully furnished 4 bedroom/2bath unit on the third floor with vaulted ceilings. This included all utilities except internet, which we never actually purchased, but mooched for free off of our many neighbors with unsecured wireless networks. This is a purely student community, and though not close to campus, it is serviced every half hour by Athens bus #14. The bus was very convenient, and I rarely had to drive to campus. Though our apartment was pretty worn around the edges with threadbare carpet and many dings in our coffee table, management was generally very efficient in responding to maintenance requests, though the father/son repair team was a bit sketchy. For my cheapskate ways, the primary draw of this complex was the low price for an all inclusive unit. College Park Lakeside was also a great transition from the dorm to truly«independent» living. I was ready to go after a year, but I left still willing to recommend the complex to others.
