Tate Student Center

Nowadays this place is a monument to how much money UGA can spend on a building and have it serve really no purpose. If you need a place to eat or sit for a awhile its not so bad but otherwise there isn’t much to do student wise.

How much do you know about your student center?
You might have heard people talk about it here and there about movies, games, food.
But did you know that the Campus Cinematic Arts actually shows many movies that were recently in theaters, for only $ 1 every Thursday and on weekends in the cinema built into Tate Student Center? Did you know that the game room located right next to this cinema, features pool tables, video games, and a big variety of board games that you can check out for no charge at all?
While frats and downtown partying are always fun, once in a while, sitting down for a game of chess or scrabble, brings more laughs and entertainment among a few friends than any drunken Friday night adventures you could possibly get yourself into.
And if scrabble is not for you, then there’s always a good movie playing.
College is hectic, but don’t forget to take a break once in a while and enjoy your days at the university in good old-​fashioned ways with your close friends.
Because these days are fleeting and will end sooner than you imagine.
