Okay, normally I don’t do this but I had to bring back in mini corn dogs cause they were hot on the outside and cold on the inside. No biggie. So they say they will take care of it. I watch the guy put them back in the frier… I bit off those… I told him… His response: «it’s hot enough to kill everything». I mean I get it, but that just isn’t okay with me. If that kind of thing weirds you out, be careful. Tuesday, May 31 at 8pm

This is close to my job so if I’m in a hurry — I still don’t want to go here! Each time I come here, it’s worse. I was the only car in drive through and asked to wait — for 5 minutes. The old man was rude, shirt, unfriendly… Enough that I almost didn’t get anything. But I figured since it was slow, I would still wait. Still a mistake! The order took forever and the old man took my card but was still rude. Not a single pleasantry. The young guy who gave me the food about shoved it at me and the same thing. No goodbyes or can I get you anything? He just handed it to me and closed the window. How is this place still able to survive? The freeway traffic? They suck.

I always come to this place love it! However today 6÷4÷15 at 5:35pm driving through a lady took our order over the intercom and was very short, she had a very rude tone and seemed as if we were bothering her. The guy who gave us our food was very nice and sweet. But if she takes our order(rudely) again I will not be back.

Found this place by accident as well when we were getting gas at the chevron station. The food was the best der weinerscnitzel we’ve ever had. They even delivered food to our table.

Really loved Wienerschnitzel from my youth in Orange County. When they opened this one I thought«GREAT» I would no longer need to drive to Santa Maria. So far so good. Great chili dogs et al. Keep it up.

Had a chicken sandwich and a side salad the sandwich was okay but the salad was full of limp and brown lettuce. It is also way too expensive for the quality of food, if this was like a dollar I can see paying that but 2 chicken sandwiches and one side salad was $ 18. Won’t go back.

They have merged with Tastee Freeze, so I thought I would get a milkshake. It was the WORST chocolate shake I have ever had! It tasted like chemicals and not any sense of chocolate except the color. Ugh! I also had a corn dog, not sure they even use cornmeal for the batter, couldn’t taste it. The pastrami sandwich is very disappointing, full of fat and gross. Not too happy with this place at all!

Quality at this restaurant has really gone downhill. They raised the prices and lowered the standards of their food. They are not open very late(10pm) and usually try and get you out early in a passive aggressive way. My coworker and I went there for our lunch break at 9pm and shortly after we started eating, they turned the lights off on us.

I visited the Atascadero Store on Sunday to take advantage of a 15 cent hot dog deal. This store was at least 10 miles out of my way, but the manager refused to give me this promotion. I feel this was very short sighted, after i got my hot dog I was planning on spending at least another $ 10 on other items. She left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I took my entire family to another fast food establishment. I have been I long time fan of Wienerschnitzel, but will not return to this store.

I was expecting some legit German bratwurst, albeit fast food style. Instead this is just a foster freeze with a few dogs on the menu. Nothing to write home about.

I have gone to to weinerschnitzel twice now and both times have been very dissatisfied with the quality of food for the price. Tonight I purchased a small cookie dough freeze and it came to 4.06. I was thinking, «wow, that seems high for a small, but maybe it is a big small.» When I got to the window I paid and the cashier handed me the freeze. Could not believe the size. I would have thought that it was a child size. I ate it, but was nowhere near the tastiness as frosty freeze’s ice cream. I will never go to weinerschnitzel again.

I have to agree with Ron T. They’re pretty expensive for fast food here. Today I ordered 2 corndogs with a «regular» sized french fry. came to just over $ 5. Decent price, I thought, as I imagined these hot dog specialists would serve up some plump delicious corn dogs. To my dismay, the corndogs were very small. The taste was okay, but definitely nothing special. The fries were just bad. They were cold, tasted all-around mediocre, and came in the tiny paper bag — you know the bag I’m talking about, the one that usually comes with the Kids Meal. When my bag was handed to me I had a looming feeling of disappointment because the bag felt empty. Overall, a poor choice for fast food here in Atascadero. I will never be returning. A&W over on Morro Rd. sells Great corn dogs and tasty fries, so when I get the feeling for a corn dog that is where I and all you others in the mood for a hot dog should head to. One last note… I was the only one in the drive-thru, but had to wait at the window for roughly 5 minutes until someone came to take my money then 2 – 3 more for the food. and the food was COLD! You know, I had this rated at two stars when I started writing but I just decided to demote it down to 1. This place sucks.

I’m glad they opened this place up in 2008. If they had opened anytime between 1998 — 2002 I would have been their #1 customer. I’m addicted to Wienerschnitzel, I am not going to lie. I hit this place up when I’m driving down south to Santa Barbara. I’m a Gaucho and my sister is currently one(UCSB). If Santa Barbara had a Wienerschnitzel I would have caught the Freshman 30. Get my gist? Love the Chili Cheese Fries, Corn Dogs, Hot Dog with ketchup & mustard, Deluxe Hamburgers and Chili Dogs!!!
