Came in around brunch, like the décor, service was friendly. Pizza was just OK, cappuccino was served room temperature, even though the waitress offered us another one. Don’t think ill be back, too many other great food spots in the area

Amazing find in Astoria. They have a deal for $ 14 for steak & fries and a glass of wine, which is a rarity to find in NYC. Got to meet Chef Joseph and Chef Angel and both were personable and even told me some of the key ingredients they use in their dishes. Who would’ve thought African lavender could be used in food! Overall great spot and recommend for a date or just hanging out with friends.

I love this spot and the tradition I’ve made for myself here. On my day off, I sometimes take myself on a lunch date here. They have an awesome lunch special where it’s like $ 16 for a pizza, soup or salad, and glass of wine. I ALWAYS order the godfather pizza because it’s incredible and sit in the window and people watch. Great décor and music. Excellent date spot for a special someone or for yourself!

The outside flashing lights has got us noticing this place for months and months until we finally tried it! Came here twice — once w/my bf for a sit down dinner and once w/him for takeout. Both times got the classic pizza(and once got the lobster soup). Overall, food is good — inside vibe is great — super casual and posh yet earthy/borderline hipster at the same time. Definitely come here if you like semi-flatbread style pizza.

Ive been here twice and between my co workers and I this place is a fan favorite. The happy hour selection is great but I am a huge fan of the pizza. I ordered the Bianca pie with artichoke and fresh herbs. I must say I wasnt a fan of thin crust pizza before I came here but I am definitely sold. Great restaurant for a date or group of friends. Great wine selection also.

I was a little torn on what type of review to give. On one hand, the food was excellent. The open kitchen with the diligent chefs at work is on full display, and the restaurant is filled with the aroma of Italian herbs and oven baked pizza. The pasta I ordered, Salsiccia Farfalle, couldn’t have been cooked any better. Al dente farfalle pasta is richly coated in a pink sauce along with sauteed sausage, prosciutto, and crimini mushrooms, My friend ordered the chicken parm and she loved it. The service was great when we first stepped in, but as soon as the owner left for the evening(he was sitting in the dining room chatting with some regulars when we arrived) the service suffered. Friends of the waitstaff came into the restaurant with their own food and drinks. They changed the music and turned up the volume full blast, and then threw the front door wide open on a chilly night. They were trying to get the girls coming out of the bar next door to come inside and chat with them. None of this would have been a big deal, but we were seated right by that door and our food was stone cold within minutes. Our waiter was too busy entertaining his friends to bother coming over and we had to flag him down when we were ready to leave, which was not long after this craziness started. So, do you rate a restaurant poorly because of one bad waiter when the food was divine? In this case, I’m still going with a 4-star review because that pasta dish was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly with a complex layering of flavors and textures that had me bulldozing forkfuls into my mouth until that plate was empty. I’m not going to let those amazing chefs take a hit because of one bad apple. Overall, I’d be back for that food, but I’d probably come earlier in the evening when service is more on-point. It was a busy spot even at 9pm at night. I think the food is what will keep people coming back, but better service will ensure that everyone leaves with a smile.

Great local pizza spot! We had the Harvest Pizza and the Bianca, and enjoyed them both.

PS the kind of place that would be great from just very good if they just did a couple of things differently. Taste is very subjective of course and there’s some value to not fixing what isn’t broken. But what separates greatness from mediocrity can be as simple as adding olive oil to the pie before it is placed into the oven. Learned that trick from Dom the pizza great. But I digress… I’m very partial to the classic pie with the addition of pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage and green pepper. Swing by for a wonderful pizza experience

Courtesy of Groupon, we tried PS pizza shop. For two people, two pies were just the right amount of food. We tried the Ciao a Tutti and Soprano. Both were very tasty! We liked the Soprano slightly better, but were not at all disappointed with the other option. Service was fine. We brought our baby; It didn’t seem like they had high chairs.(Not a big deal to us, but something to note.) I think if the pie was just slightly larger, I would go 5 stars. I wouldn’t mind having a leftover slice for a $ 30 pizza experience.

My fiancée and I love coming here! We got this craving for Arugula Pizza after watching Food Network and PS Pizza had the answer Go for the Godfather pizza, which comes with Arugula, Prosciutto, Garlic, and topped with oil. Our fave by far, never fails to fill us up! They also have these pesto & cheese empanadas which we tried for the first time tonight, and we had a mouth orgasm. Coupled with good service and a decent drink menu, PS Pizza is def a hit on Broadway. Try them out! Tell them Big George sent ya!

The service here is horrendous. The waitress consistently forgot our orders and would act like they were news to her. She never brought us water until we asked a few times. I asked for a beer and she didn’t bring one until half an hour later when I asked again. I get that you’re the only waitress there but we were the only table sitting here. Also they never turned on their giant tv(on a Sunday!) so we couldn’t even watch the games while we waited for our food

I’m updating my previous review based on my most recent experience. I’m glad I have this place another shot — it seems like they really took customer’s feedback to heart and made some important improvements. First of all, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and didn’t mind that we sat around and talked for a while after we paid. The drink specials are fair for the area and they have a good selection of drafts that are included in the special. The pizzas are small but taste good. I like that they do a special during the day on the pizzas — if you go then, it’s pretty cheap. Thanks for responding to your customers and making my experience a pleasant one. I’ll be back.

Had a delicious arugula and pear salad, ciao a tutti pizza and deviled eggs here when I went for dinner one night after work with a friend. Also had a glass of sangria… which was very enjoyable! Unfortunately we went here to order their avocado toast that my friend loves but they were all out of it. We will be back!

A quaint little pizza place with a fun relaxed atmosphere. Really nicely renovated with a rustic/modern feel. I sat at the bar, and ordered a pie. At the bar you have direct view into the kitchen. The chef was very friendly and kept me entertained. I watched him cook, and the other gentleman make pies while I enjoyed my pizza. The server was attentive and friendly as well. The pizza was delicious, nice crispy thin crust… cooked to perfection in my eyes. Delicious addition to Astoria

I came back today for dinner again to try a different pizza and some other things. Sadly, I have to dock a star off this time. Sorry, but not sorry. Unilocal stars need to be earned! The food and service today were really disappointing. I’ll start with the service. I HATE it when the waiter is on their phone texting when there are customers waiting for their plates to be cleared, water to be filled, and check to be given. PAYATTENTION. That is your job. I pay you to do it well. You’re lucky you’re a nice enough guy and having been a server, I will still tip well. But you really don’t deserve more than a dollar. And at least do it somewhere more conspicuous. Obviously the managers here don’t do a very good job at training or discipline for people to be fearlessly using their phone and just hanging around. I had to ask for the desert menu, for the water, and for the check. I understand if it was busy, but there’s two servers and 2 customers. That’s more than enough, plus the place is quite small. Anyways, for the food, I ordered the deviled eggs, soup of the day which was corn chowder soup, the verde pizza(the one with the herb pesto sauce), and the pound cake. The corn chowder and verde pizza tasted very one dimensional. The soup just tasted like hot milk with bits of corn and potato inside. There was no richness and it was definitely missing some kind of spice. It was so boring I thought I was going to fall asleep drinking it. Luckily, the delicious crunchy bread that came on the side kept me awake. It was wonderfully seasoned and spiced. I thought it was the best part of the whole dinner. The pizza was bland and the sauce was definitely lacking. I tried very hard to fix it with black pepper, oregano, parmesan, and the garlic powder but to no avail. Needless to say, I would not recommend this one. Stick with the classic and just add topping on it if you want. I was lured in by the mushroom and peppers. Speaking of garlic powder though… they definitely need a different container for it. The holes on the lid are too big. Everything falls out and I end up with a pyramid of garlic powder. Technical difficulty. The deviled eggs were pretty good. I have nothing to compare it to though as I’ve never had it before. But I thought it was interesting. I was surprised that it was served cold, but it tasted pretty good. There are some nice flavors going on in the small little eggs. It’s kind of pricey for just two whole eggs though… Last but not least, the desert. The pound cake was quite good. It was a little crumbly and dry but I liked the crunchy edges and that it wasn’t too sweet. It went really well with the vanilla ice cream and berry sauce. Wish there was just bit more ice cream to balance out the cake. It was a pretty tiny scoop.

Located smack-dab in the middle of one Astoria’s most bustling avenues, the pizza oven is next door to such favorites as Greenbay Organic Marketplace, the Lockwood Shops, Break Billiards, and Omonia Café – just a block from the train on Broadway. But this is one of the only places in the neighborhood where you can purchase the combo of a soup or salad, a whole personal 12-inch pizza, and a soft drink for just ten bucks. The pizza is prepared to order, and may only be ordered by the whole pie. The crust is exceptionally light, buttery, and one of the thinnest around – yet it miraculously maintains its heat. On the classic pie – the only pie offered as a part of the special – that crust is then topped with fresh mozzarella and sprinkled with garlic, sea salt, and oregano, then spotted with dollops of a tangy marinara before being popped into the oven. On our visit, the service was exceptional. Water(infused with lemon) was served and refilled without request, and we were periodically asked how we enjoyed everything. Beyond the special, a few small plates and salads are also offered during lunch service. Deviled egg fans should definitely order a plate of their egg-on egg rendition. The yolks are spiced with chipotle, whipped until creamy, and then topped with salmon roe and chives. The full pizza menu is also available, featuring ten additional gourmet pies. There is a noticeable south of the border flare, which we found exciting. Better yet, if you are feeling creative, you can go ahead and build your own masterpiece. The palette of toppings for your palate ranges from chihuahua cheese to gouda, gruyère, and ricotta to charred pineapple, roasted cherry tomatoes, sopressata, tinga chicken, and even herb pesto and truffle oil. Starter offerings run the gamut from apple cider braised pork belly to blackened Nantucket scallops, from lobster rolls to ricotta gnudi with truffle peelings. They also serve an intimate selection of wine and beer. And what meal would be complete without a tart apple tatin or a warm plate of crullers served with chocolate and berry sauce for dunking? From our first ladle of Manhattan clam chowder to the tortilla thin pie and fountain soda, we enjoyed a deliciously affordable midday meal. p. s. I will be returning soon!

We went there the weekend it opened. The lady lived by there and she happened to walk by their soft open the day prior and any place that gave her a free slice and a cup of wine, the business was theirs to lose. Well, we went there and it was eh. I had the sausage and pepper pizza and it was just all right to say the least. The sausage were little flecks and the pizza was thin-while that seems to be the usual thing lately the pizza here was especially skimpy and honestly, not that filling. I thought pizza was supposed to be filling and comforting. Instead it was a little greasy, and just a little disappointing. Service was kind of weird, there was no host station or anything so we kind of wandered in waiting to be acknowledged-or was it a seat yourself kind of place until someone sat us. We kind of just hung out until they came to take our order and then after we were done we just hung out for a while until we could get the attention to get our check. Really kind of sad, the lady was rooting for this place since it has a coffee bar and it’s right off her train stop.
