The minute I bit into my shrimp tempura I. Knew instantly it was old, I happened to look inside all of the tempura and they all have this gross mold stuff inside

Officially my all time favorite sushi place! I’ve tried other places on ditmars and nothing beats Oishii. The dynamite roll is absolutely amazing, but honestly everything is good. I’m working on trying everything on the menu.

It’s ok. Definitely nothing special. I hate cold sushi I rather it just made especially when it was just made. Even the gyoza was stone cold. The Tuna was kind of funky

I used to order from this place 1 – 3 times a week. Not the best sushi, but tolerable during the times it was actually fresh(could get sushi as good or even better at my local podunk market). Key words here, used to. NEVER again. On a day that I was home sick, I ordered their lunch special. When I received it, the miso soup had completely saturated the bottom of the brown paper bag it came in due to a careless delivery driver, so when I lifted it, unbeknownst to me, everything came exploding out. Soup and sushi went ALL over my freshly washed laundry, which now has to be re-done while I’m sick. I called the place up and explained what happened to them, and they seemed reluctant to re-send me my order, but did anyway, even when I said I’d take a refund on my money instead if they’d prefer(I understand they’re in the business of making money and probably deal with a lot of fakes and people trying to screw them over, but in all the times I’ve ordered from them I’ve never re-requested my food/refund). When the delivery guy shows up, I examine the bag this time, and as I’m doing so he asks me for the old food. No problem at all, except I tell him it’s now in the garbage(and all over my laundry) since it exploded everywhere and I’m not going to leave it on my floor(is this something other people do and I’m out of the loop???), but would he really like if I go dig it out of the trash for him and bring it to him, because I could? He proceeds to get mad and disrespectful with me and immediately threatens to call his boss, so I say sure if that’s what you need to do, and he stands on my front stoop angrily to make the call while I wait. I guess his boss said forget it, because he then walked away from my door without another word to me and slammed my front gate so hard it couldn’t even latch, but instead bounced back. Can you say childish? You’re welcome for all my money that you got from me before, but NEVER again Oishii. I cannot believe how disgustingly rude your staff is. If you want old, market grade sushi delivered with an attitude, then this is your place! As for me, I’ll be frequenting Kumo or Pink Nori instead from now on. Good riddance, Oishii!

Nebeyaki udon soup is lovely. Sushi rice was a little hard and there’s something missing… maybe more vinegar? Also there wasn’t enough wasabi flavor throughout the sushi but that’s ok. They just don’t seem to put any under the fish out here like I am accustomed to. The fish was fresh and delicious so I pulled it off and ate it like sashimi. I hope they fix the rice or else I’ll just order the sashimi from then on because they have the highest quality fish of the places that deliver around here IMO.

This place is awesome for a quick and cheap bite! They are super quick and attentive. I ordered two rolls and they were ready in about 10 minutes. A good bang for your buck.

Overall Disappointing I am a regular sushi eater, eating take out sushi every couple of weeks for lunch at work. And I enjoy all kinds of sushi, from nigiri, to sashimi, to rolls, and so on. Me and my mom ordered the Regular Sushi Combo w/10 pieces of nigiri, 1 California roll and the house salad. Also the Roll Combo A w/1 Tuna Roll, 1 Salmon Roll, 1 California Roll, and the miso soup. I didn’t order anything fancy, so my expectations were that they could at least master the basic of sushi takeout. When we received our sushi the first thing I noticed that the sushi did not look generally appetizing, the color was off. Everything looked dull and old, and this observation is completely objective from presentation and packaging. The first thing I had was the miso soup, it was salty but that wasn’t a big deal. The worst of it was that the miso had been boiled, miso should NOT be boiled because it will seize and bits of undissolved miso will float around you soup all yucky like… My mom didn’t even touch her salad because the lettuce was old and had browning throughout. The wasabi and ginger was left out too long, drying out, and almost browning, ew! The rice was visibly long grained, which is a big no-no in sushi making. It was also dry, far from sticky, unappetizing, and just wasn’t seasoned correctly. The avocado in the California roll was browning and the cucumber wasn’t crisp, almost rubbery from how old it was. The fish itself did not taste too bad. The first rule in sushi making is being able to make good rice that will complement the fish, and I’m not nitpicking, these are just basic things that are overlooked because they are usually done right because they are so simple execute. This was just so bad that supermarket sushi seemed more appetizing…

Okay, so hear me out. I’ve had their sushi, edamame, shumai, veggie dumplings, etc and everything was decent untillll… wait for it… I saw their«B» rating from the health department very discreetly taped all the way at the top of their front window away from eye level. Leads me to believe this was an intentional move on their end. I read they had some past violations for roaches and such. Needless to say, will not be going back!

One of two places in Astoria where I order sushi from work. They are super friendly and honest if they are running behind. Place is very small but makes up for it in taste .My favorite rolls are the Christmas tree roll and volcano roll. Their Kani salad is unlike any other because they combine Kani and seaweed salad with some tempura flakes. Yum! They also have good lunch specials!

This is for delivery. I ordered from them through grubhub a couple of times. I would always order their spicy combo, but I decided to take a risk and order the Chirashi. Note to myself: I will never order sushi as takeout again from this place. When I order Chirashi from other places it was great, fresh, cool… but when I got this, it was tightly packaged in a small container and I barely got any side of rice or pieces of sashimi(Looks like they must of ran out of the containers that are meant for that order, I never had Chirashi packed like it before!). Keep in mind that I have been ordering sashimi for years and I am familiar with how big and thick the pieces should be! These pieces were so small and they were not cool. It was warm and when I picked up the sashimi they started to fall apart. I was extremely disappointed. Besides this experience, I love to eat their rolls and their bubble tea is decent. If I have time I will have a sit down and update my review.

What can I say, I love this place. The price point is perfect, they’re insanely quick, and the bento boxes are an incredible value. Super reasonable lunch specials, and the staff are really friendly. The bubble tea is great too, and I always order the pork gyoza. All in all, really a great spot. Keep up the awesome work, guys!

Sushi is mediocre at best. I ordered the Godzilla roll and you can tell that they use really low quality sushi. It was just a mush of mayo sauce, yuck. Also, their bubble teas are not that great, stay away from those as well.

We thought it wasn’t going to fill us up but it did! We couldn’t even finish it! And the bubble tea was so yummy! The pictures make the lunch box look small but under the shrimp tempora there is more veggies! Best sushi on ditmars !

Ordered delivery lunch special and tried the tuna avocado, salmon avocado, sweet potato, shrimp tempura and white tuna rolls. They were all pretty mediocre and the wasabi was hard and crumbly. The miso soup that came with was watery with only about 3 – 4 pieces of tofu. The fish was not tasty. I would recommend Aji if you are looking for decent sushi in the area.

By far one of the best sushi places in Astoria. I only order one thing from here but I order it once a week it’s the salmon lover special which includes 5 pieces of sushi and one salmon roll with a miso soup. It has always been super fresh and the delivery was always super fast! I originally found this place while searching for places that deliver bubble teas and they have a great selection of flavors my favorite is the blueberry slush bubble tea.

This is my go-to sushi restaurant to order from on Seamless. The lunch specials are fab, and they even deliver BUBBLETEA(for those who don’t know me, I am a huge bubble tea fan). Anyway, I find it to be a little pricey for the area but I can’t beat the convenience.
