Naimi’s Halal Food Cart

Usually I’m not akin to street vendors (for obvious reasons — sanitary practices, unknown food wholesalers, etc), however Naimi’s is WORTH it.
Located right under the 46tth street Bliss stop of the 7 elevated train (along Queens Boulevard), Naimi’s Halal Food Cart offers a variety of Halal fast food. My favorite is the Lamb gyro. It comes with rice and side veg (lettuce, tomatoes and onions), it’s spicier that usual vendors and instead of slices, he dices it up in little cubes, which is good over rice. Sometimes he may be a little heavy handed with the sauce if you ask for it– but just tell him how you like it and expect generous amounts when he serves. The pita is also very good, as is the salad. He’s usually there all hours of the day.
Personally, he remembered me right off the bat and knows exactly how I like my gyro, but I’m leaning more towards gyro salad these days. Get there during the day and he’s got the goods– Shepard Salad, etc. I think this cart is connected to Mangal, but I’m not quite sure.
