Finally getting around to leaving a review. We have probably ordered here around 20 – 25 times. It’s so hit and miss I don’t even know what to say Lemon chicken last week was significantly better than this week. As I’m trying to eat it right now it has a chewy rubber consistency. How do their cooks not know how to make chicken yet? Wraps are generally good and the salads as well. Id suggest they stop putting lettuce on hot wraps and sandwiches that come with warm meats as it ends up looking like garbage and tastes the same. Delivery is consistent but food is not. It’s either a good meal or horribly disappointing

I am frequently in Queens, and I always make a point to enjoy a meal or two – or more!– at Krave Grill. I have eaten meals from Krave(both delivery and in the restaurant) and each time, it has been delicious. I try not to be a pain in the derrière, but to be honest, I’m one of those people who often wants changes to dishes– I rarely order exactly off the menu. Each time, my meals have come out just as I wanted. For breakfast, I ask for omlettes to be scrambled rather than«omletted», and I always want a different kind of cheese or take out the bacon or whatever, and they have never gotten an order wrong. Also, I am a coffee snob, and their coffee is sooooo good! For lunch I often have salads, my favorite being the Ahi Tuna Salad, and I ask for the tuna to be rare/seared and it is always perfect. Also, the portion of ahi is very generous for the modest price! Their menu is extensive but not overwhelming. I have never had a disappointing meal there, ever. Also, they have an impressive wine & beer selection, as well as a full bar! I appreciate a restaurant that gets everything just right. The employees are wonderful, very personable while maintaining professionalism. I highly recommend this restaurant for its inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food!

We used to go to this place all the time. We lived across the street. They really do well with their food. It’s really good. Brunch is amazing. We came to eat there the night we took our son home from the hospital when he was born. Here’s the downfall. Almost every single time we were there, the service was incredibly slow. Even when there was no one in the restaurant. And it’s not too large of a place. They have no sense of urgency. Otherwise, great place and great food.

If you are ordering delivery STEERCLEAR! Wasted an hour waiting and called just to find out that my food had been sitting around for who knows how long– still waiting for the delivery guy to get back. The lady at the restaurant even fought with me when I told her I wanted to cancel it because it was taking so long. Horrible service and then horrible attitude when you mess up is a no go in my book.

Had a great cheesesteak. Made with your choice of bread and had them substitute and add to it with no additional charge. It was made just the way i wanted it and tasted really good. The pricing was up front and service good. Will go there again and try something else, they had a good selection of sandwiches.

NEVERRECEIVEDOURFOOD: This place has really great reviews but unfortunately I’m really disappointed. For an order I placed at 7:05, for a wrap and a burger, we didn’t receive our food until. well, we still haven’t and its 9:20. When we called multiple times we were told they were really busy; and then finally when we called we were told that it was on the way. When it still didn’t arrive 30 minutes later we called to cancel and were told to call seamless to cancel. Management never apologized or offered to compensate us in any way. The restaurant told the Seamless rep that their delivery guy said the food was delivered, so maybe somewhere in Astoria someone is enjoying a wrap and burger for free. Hope they enjoy it… and get horrible diarrhea.

My friend and I stopped by for a casual late Sunday lunch. There were maybe 5 people inside, not including the waitstaff. Krave has the feeling of a really chill café that students go to to study; it’s cozy and abnormally quiet. As for food, we split the vegetable spring rolls and the Krave burrito with chicken, and we enjoyed everything. We both loved that the burrito was filling enough for both of us and kept it really fresh and simple with the ingredients. Also, no E. Coli(take that, Chipotle!). Tip — use their Scoutmob deal for 50% off. With this, we each paid 7 bucks, not including tip. Scooore.

So a quick update on a separate item… chicken fingers have definitely been switched b for a different brand. I order them a few times a week for my fiancé and lately they have been very small and a cheaper type of chicken. I bit into one and it was like a jelly texture and had something hard in them, like a muscle or something. .please switch back to the regular type you use to serve!!! other than that food is still great! love Krave, I eat it everyday, sometimes twice lol

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened(such a long time ago I forgot when). I was thrilled it opened where it did because the long walk down ditmars got brutal especially being hungover and with the cold and heat. I used to live in a studio apartment with no air conditioning. I would utilize this place on weekends to have breakfast and work. the staff was always curteous. They were attentive, friendly, and engaging. The food too was great. I would ask for eggs and bacon on a croissant when it wasn’t on the menu, and they would accommodate me. I’ve had other places say no, but they do it. I also would order their platters for dinner. back when my wife was working, and I was working, we didn’t always have time to cook. so we would order the grilled tuna platter, skirt steak platter, grilled shrimp platter, burgers, and some of the appetizers. all were deliciously cooked and seasoned well. why 4 stars then? on occasion when we order through seamless, I would order the burger deluxe and ask for waffle fries. Sometimes they wouldn’t give it to me(either the special request didn’t go through, or maybe it just wasn’t read right). I don’t hold that against them though as I still order from them. But others may. with my wife home more often now, we don’t order daily. but when it comes to a safe bet, and a simple meal, we stick with krave. I do suggest those in the neighborhood that haven’t tried it, should give it a shot.

I was on phone for delivery order for over 7 minutes. Don’t answer the phone if your that busy and keep people on hold… I’m actually surprised because every time I went there there was no one there… to the point that the wait staff ordered food and ate at the bar!!! REALLY? What happened to restaurant edicate??? Their crab cakes suck and leaves me wondering where the crab was. It’s all breading.

My office orders from here often. Everyone only has good things to say about the food. Today, I tried it for the first time. I had the Crispy Chicken wrap, which was amazing! It was huge, stuffed with crispy fried chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and herb mayo. The herb mayo was delish. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

While I have never dined in, their takeout is amazing! I have never been disappointed with the food. The French fries with pulled pork and cheddar are not to be missed. The additional $ 2.00 to make it with waffle fries is well worth it. Usually I’d be cranky with the extra charge, but it’s so good I cannot say no! Whenever I go in to pick up my orders, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Love Krave, and I’ll always be back for more!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Let me begin by saying my date and I were pleasantly surprised. The décor is modern European but simple and quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and service was efficient. I ordered the Ahi tuna salad and my date ordered the Thai chicken wrap. I highly recommend both! They exceeded my expectations. The Ahi tuna was cooked medium rare and seasoned well,(only lacking sesame seeds). The ginger dressing came on the side and complimented the tuna steak nicely with the right amount of zest. This was the fresh springtime lunch salad I was«kraving.» The Thai chicken wrap was gigantic and more like the size of burrito than your average chicken wrap. The chicken was moist and flavorful. It came with a side of chips which always reminds me of when mom gave us a side of chips with our lunch sandwich as a kid. :) I glanced at the brunch menu which was super inexpensive and looked great. $ 10 – 15 for a meal and cocktail. If I was in the mood for breakfast options I would have gone for it. I wish they would’ve incorporated lunch meals on there as well. Maybe it will change in the future! Wishful thinking. I will be back to Krave, if not in person then to order for delivery.

Visited Krave for the $ 185-mimosa brunch. The omelets and potatoes are great and the servers are usually very attentive at refilling your coffee and mimosas. Love this place. I usually order the spanish omelet, coffee(their ice coffee is great), and the mimosas obviously.

They shouldn’t have taken away bottomless brunch, but I honestly don’t make it past 6 drinks anyway. It’s up to 5 mimosas with brunch, and though the brunch menu is limited they do have good breakfast options if you like eggs. I had the French Toast twice and would recommend it. It’s a small intimate place with limited seating, but I didn’t have to wait both times I went on a Sunday afternoon. Large portions, nice waitresses, I’ll probably be back since it’s not far from my church.

Wonderful brunch spot. The food portions are very large and you can get up to 5 mimosas and an entrée for $ 19. It used to be unlimited mimosas but they changed it earlier this year. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is on the corner of the block so there’s glass walls on 2 sides. This place is situated in a nice neighborhood and parking is always available on the street.

3.5 stars would be more accurate but I digress… Krave is a good place to grab a burger, a beer, and some kick ass sweet potato fries. My friend got there before me and they quickly took her drink order but when I arrived, they took 20 minutes or so to even ask what I wanted to drink. The slow service is why I chopped off a star. With that said, I ordered a turkey burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The turkey burger was just okay but the bun they served it on was delicious. The fries were AMAZING and perfectly seasoned. Prices here are fair for what you get so can’t complain there. A solid place to grab something quick(provided the service isn’t slow that day).

We walked in not really expecting much; it’s a pretty generic diner. Boy were we wrong! First off, the service was supremely friendly and accommodating. Lovely waiters! We’ve been here twice now, and both times our waiters were just the most awesomest people. Second, the food we had was brilliant. We had a burger, cooked medium rare, with cheddar, onion, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. And waffle fries. It was superb. The burger was really cooked medium rare. Truly! The beef was very beefy and while one cannot get too excited about lettuce and tomatoes, they were fresh and not tasteless like the normally are at diners. It was clear the beef was high quality. The waffle fries were delicious and not greasy at all. The fries seemed breaded and fried; they were phenomenal. Very addicting! We had the shrimp tacos, and unfortunately they didn’t fare as good as the burger and fries. The tortilla used was much too thick. The shrimp should’ve been marinated and spiced, because they didn’t have flavor… unfortunately, the tacos were over-stuffed with iceberg lettuce and crema, which aggravated the lack of flavor problem. And there was simply too much of it. My recommendations would be: 1. Use a much thinner tortilla. Perhaps smaller, too. 2. Use a corn, instead of flour, tortilla(better yet, corn hard shell, but alas, hard shells are becoming a rarity these days). 3. Give two, not three, tacos. 4. Reduce the amount of iceberg lettuce by half. At least! 5. Spice and/or marinate the shrimp We didn’t like the spinach pie, either. I think it would’ve been better if they were made from phyllo dough. The spinach had very little flavor, and was missing that spiced spinach-feta cheese interplay that makes spinakopitas so tasty. The gyro platter was very tasty, although the gyro itself was fried and somewhat crispy, which was a bit odd. I think it must have been frozen? It definitely didn’t come off a rotisserie.
