This is a pretty cool museum, but I was a little let down when I found out the KKK exhibit was no longer there. Sorry, but that’s my honest review.

My husband and I visited here this October weekend. This is a small all-volunteer historical site about the history of Astoria. We found it very interesting and well done. The volunteer there at the time was welcoming, informative, and engaging. Plan 30−60″. Highlights were the history of local Indians and replica of one of The Louvre.

Small museum housed in a very neat two story building that was once used as the home for the USO during the war. It currently is used as the home of the historical society. I thought the exhibits were thoughtfully planned out and fun to look at(except for the real KKK outfit. Sad.). I took about 30 minutes but my wife was waiting outside so I had to hurry. Good deal for $ 4 with AAA discount. Yes, there is plenty of free street parking. That’s why small towns are so great. Support this place so it remains open for future generations.
