Great place! However, if you’re unfamiliar with the type of food, you may want to bring someone who is, or bring your smart phone. The menu does not include descriptions. I’m also not sure if I missed a sign but know they do not take card. Saying that, it’s worth it. The food was amazing! It was full of flavor.

I can only vouch for the $ 2.50 cheese pizza by the slice to-go, but it’s one of my favorites in the neighborhood. Everyone there is really nice. It doesn’t hurt that it’s just around the corner from my apartment, either. Next time I want to try a gyro!

The food is delicious. The portions are hearty and they deliver pretty quick. I always get the chicken gyro platter with lemon potatoes and salad. The chicken soup could use a little more lemon in it, or not; I’m a lemon crackhead so maybe it’s just me. Overall they’re food is fresh and I’d recommend you eat there.

Best greek food. Best greek salad. Best French fries. Best gyros. Friendliest prices. Small popular place in astoria. Best ever. I’ve tried so many places especially in long island. Nothing comes close to this place! Best food!

Food is absolutely perfect. Quality ingredients. Good portion size. Chicken souvlaki is proper chicken breast. Quick delivery. Only downside is their location is relatively small.

I’ve been eating here for about 20 years of my life, they still make the one of the best gyro in Astoria. Their pizza and other Greek dishes are simply great their pasticho is one of the closest I’ve ever gotten to my own grandmothers

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, back in the 80’s. I remember liking it then and fast forward 25 years, it’s still as good as I remember. I’ve been staying at an airbnb in my childhood neighborhood of Astoria the last month, and I’ve eaten here 3 times already. I’ve ordered both the chicken and beef Souvlaki platter, because Souvlaki was always one of my favorite dishes as a kid and I could never, ever find it in Florida. They are well worth it for about $ 12, since it includes a nice Greek salad, Tzatziki sauce, fries(or lemon potatoes or rice), pita bread and a Dolmade. Most of the people here are long time locals and seem to know each other. I overheard a few nice conversations. The waitress has been the same one each time I came and she’s quiet, but friendly and attentive. I preferred the beef Souvlaki well over the chicken, which lacked some taste. I also loved the lemon potatoes, and will prefer those over the fries(I haven’t tried the rice yet). This place only takes cash… so make sure you have enough for the meal and tip.

Gyro platter is huge, comes with gyro, fries, pita bread salad. On the other option they have it in sandwich. It’s like a deli for a Greek food. A quick way if you don’t feel like going to a restaurant but want some gyro! I’m glad I found this place!

Great fast food/local spot. Gyro is amazing — there is a glaze or something on it that brings the flavor up a notch. Feta pie — so delicious!

One of the first restaurants I went to when I moved to Astoria. Great Gyro, fair prices, friendly service. I have to say that though the Gyro is really good, I expected better. I think Fontana in Flushing is a touch better. Shocking since this is Astoria. Oh well, it was still awesome and I’ll be back :)

Uno what I really love about NYC? Gyros! NYC becomes a real Gyro destination when uno all the Gyro spots that I do. If uno what’s good for you, you should get to NYC asap just to try all the great Gyros. They will change everything uno about Gyros. Uno nothing. Yet. The more uno… What to get: um… maybe a Gyro? What else: ask for easy on the sauce, or the sauce on the side. This is one of the most delicious Gyros in Queens. BZ Grill makes authentic Athens Gyros with Pork, as well as these Chicago kind, so they are the winners. But other than that, you have to go to the Bronx to find a Chicago style Gyro better than the ones served up here at Uno. My favourites in town are at Gyro World on Fordham, and Greek Express a little NW of there. Both absolutely amazing. But other than that, Gyro Uno is one of my favourites. I just urge you to get the sauce on the side, because I’m not sure how crazy I am about their sauce, and they really do smother, cover, drench the Gyro in their sauce. I would have preferred less, so in future I’ll ask for that. If you’re into Gyros, I highly recommend trying this one. Unilocal did not steer me wrong in this case. Cheap, huge, hearty, juicy, enormous, delicious. Just like me. But then if you are on my friends list, it’s statistically very likely that Uno all that already. I know Uno what I’m talking about. And Uno I know Uno. Uno? Now, I’ll let Bonnie Tyler close out the review. I need a Gyro! I’m holding out for a Gyro in the Astoria night! It’s gotta be hot and it’s gotta be big and you’ve gotta give me the first bite… I need a Gyro!

After a VERY disappointing trip to a car lot, my family was hungry. I was in the mood for a Gryo.(I usually read some Unilocal reviews before going but I just wanted to eat) So I quickly scanned for a restaurant with a good number of reviews and @ least 3 stars. I found this location. The restaurant decorate was cute. The shop is a little small/narrow, especially when ordering take out. You are constantly moving out of the way for. the delivery guy, the waitress and other ordering customers. But overall its a nice neighborhood shop. FYI– this place is CASHONLY and yes they have an ATM machine. Regarding the food I like it however my family disagreed.(we had traditional gryo’s) I love love love gryos so I know I am a little bias but hey I’ll admit it. The only issue I had was all the white sauce(Tzatziki sauce) was at the bottom of the sandwich. So while you are eating the top half of the gyro you really don’t’ get much sauce. I usually just order more sauce on the side but they had a sign behind the register that says Extra Tzatziki Sauce = 75 cents each. No thanks!) My son and my husband did not like it their gryos. My husband said the meat was dry and overcooked(I will admit our sandwiches were the last made with the meat, they brought out new meat right after… so… maybe he has a point.)(My husband didn’t know about the meat, he had to wait in the car while I ran in and ordered because THEREWASNOPARKING.) Like I said before I like the food. We spent about $ 18.00 for three gryos. But between getting money from an ATM(plus fee), doing a dance in the shop and trying to find parking… I won’t go out of my way to visit again.

This is for a delivery order only. so i have no idea what this place looks like or what the décor might be. sorry, Unilocal but«is it casual or dressy?» Question will have to remain unanswered though i am guessing its probs casual. Anyway! I have been avoiding meat on the weekdays(its difficult. I am carnivore at heart) and was sick of the greens in my fridge so what did i do? Order delicious fried Greek yummy-ness. The falafel hot plate was perfect for my craving. They give you a hefty portion of crispy but not overly fried balls of ground chickpeas and spices. At this point pretending I was healthy was out the window so for my choice of side(rice, lemon potatoes or fries) I fattily(new word) chose fries. Delicious and so so many. Whatever sauce they gave with it was creamy and complimented it well but i would order a side of tzatziki next time. It also came with a nice side salad & warm pita. Ill order again!

Probably one of my favorite places I wish they delivered to Long Island city. Reminder do not order the French friees with any type of cheese on top. Not worth it. And Dosent travel well. Do not order the chicken Slovaki. Order the lamb gyro or chicken gyro platter. The gyro sandwich is cheaper if you aren’t that hungry but the platter is a much better deal. do not get the fries. Make sure you substitute for rice it should be free.

I just can not seem to get enough of this place lately! I’ve ordered from here 3 times per week for the past few weeks and haven’t been disappointed. The delivery guys are kind of reckless with the pizza(the do have amazing pizza) but other than that, no complaints!

Brief: Cash Only. ATM near bathoom. Owners are Greeks, cooks are Mexicans, and they also prepare Italian fast food. Excellent! Great food !! Clean establishment. Great customer service. Easy to find parking after 8pm on weekdays. On gyro or souvlaki: order the rice skip the fries! Opa!!! I’m coming back!

We had the gyro & the gyro platter. The food were pretty good. The meat & the sauce were pretty good. The portion is pretty big especially the gyro platter. The gyro platter comes with a choice of rice, french fries, or potato. It also comes with salad & pita. It will definitely filled you up. The service was good, we can’t complaint. The waitress was polite & the service was quick. The place is somewhat small(about 6 – 7 tables) but spacious. One gyro, one gyro platter, & two cans of soda, all total about $ 20.

Only 4 stars because the resturant rating is a B. I honestly don’t care about the rating. I love this place. Their gyros are delicious and thats all I ever purchased from them. I normally get the gyro platter because I get the yummy greak salad. I could never get enough of feta cheese. But please do have a pack of gum on you so your not smelling like cheese the whole night that is not cute. :BATHROOMALERT: WATCHYOURSTEP!!! If your new to this place you will fall into the tiny bathroom stall. There is a tiny step right before you go in. They keep a dirty mop in there but other then that the toilet is clean as well as the sink. I am not sure how they are on the toilet paper but I used the last square, thankfully it was a number 1. But the bathroom was not gross except for that darn mop. It’s a good place to go if you want cheap eats and a lot of food. You will not wait that long to be served either. If your so eager why they have a B rating on the storefront I recommend going to the rating website to find out. I personally am too scared to look because I love this place and have been going there for years.

Often times, I wonder what my life would be without gyros. Then, I just can’t go farther than that because it would be impossible. No matter how many fancy Greek dishes you’ll make me stuff, nothing can replace the soft spot I have in my heart for gyros, or as they say, pita. I ordered a pork souvlaki to go. God I love those chunks! After 15 minutes of waiting(or more), I almost didn’t want my souvlaki anymore. Everyone else was getting theirs and I just wondered if the guy was playing games. I mean, I don’t think it’d take that long to prepare a sandwich. The meat has long been cooked and is just spinning around, ready to be stripped. …and I was even more disappointed when I got home. The meat was WAY overdone, it was almost as good as toast and there were excessive amounts of onion slices. Very little meat — and that took 15 minutes to prepare. I really wanted to like this place but it was overall a disappointing experience. Maybe I’ll come back soon. Or maybe not.
