Best deli, bodega, market, whatever you want to call it in all of Astoria.
The dudes who work there are all super nice and friendly. Their food is delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good prices and the store is super clean.
Coffee is on point they make the best ice coffee I can find… they pour a little hot coffee on the bottom to melt the sugar and then pour in the ice coffee — a crucial step in making good ice coffee.

I love George’s Deli! It’s super clean with all the basics at very good prices. The food is great and well priced as well. I’ve had their breakfast and lunch sandwiches and it is all very good and affordable. They use Boar’s Head and it is all fresh.
The best part about George is the staff. They are so friendly and quick when making the food even when it gets busy. Definitely the best bodega within walking distance from my place and I come here often.

Directly across the street from our apartment and the best priced sandwiches in the neighborhood. The guys that own and run it are super friendly, and I will happily give them my business everyday! Amazing beer selection also. Over 100 different types of beer!

Awesome addition to the neighborhood. It’s small… but the staff are friendly and professional… the space is clean… it’s well lit… affordable…really good menu… decent selection of drinks and snacks… and miles beyond what the former resident gave we neighborhood folk.

There are a lot of delis in astoria but Georges is the best .best staff. best food… best prices. .best coffee… cleanest it’s really that good

THIS DELI IS THE BOMB! No doubt bout it!!! The sandwich are really fresh and good! I usually get the simple ham and yellow American with mayo! No lettuce tomato or anything like that! THEY ALSO HAVE A WIDE VARIETY OF BEVERGES! Etc etc Etc !!

Ahhh, the old neighborhood deli. I go into George’s at least once a day, as it is just down the street, for coffee or a snack. It is very clean and reasonably priced, with a great selection of items. Above average beer selection, and they make great sandwiches too. The employees are the best part… easily some the friendliest that I have encountered in all of NYC. There have been times where they didn’t stock a product that I wanted, and they had me write down what I wanted and then they ordered it. So glad to live so close to this place.

I am so thrilled that new owners took over this spot and reinvented it!
The old owners were sweet and all, but the products never really delivered. A lot of the stuff was stale and old.
This place not only has fresh, organic snacks, but it also has essentials like toothbrushes, deodorant, and even individual pill packets! For those days when your lady problems kick in and you need Midol NOW.
Their sandwich bar. *drools*.They have turkey bacon.
If a place has turkey bacon, it’s already amazing in my eyes.
For us breakfast sandwich lovers who don’t eat pork, turkey bacon is sooooo appreciated.
I get a turkey bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for only $ 3.50. WHAT?! It’s like $ 5.50 at any other place.
I’ve also gotten their regular sandwich late at night, and they pack it way too much for my liking, but I’m also not a deli meat fan in general. I’m sure all of the loyal sandwich lovers would appreciate barely being able to fit their mouth over their sandwich. And for a roll, I believe it was only $ 5.
The only thing about them is I have no idea what their hours are. They should post them on the door or something, because sometimes they’ll be open at 4AM and other times they’ll be closed at 11PM.

Love this place, the guys who work here are really helpful and the items are appropriately priced. Once I went to get mayo and noticed it was overpriced and asked the guy and he told me it was a mistake and gave me a better price. They have beer too if you need to pick up a 6 pack. This deli is a good addition to Astoria.

George’s Deli is everything you’d want from a bodega. The whole staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, the store is clean and well-​stocked, and prices are very fair. The credit card minimum is only $ 5, and they don’t treat you like you’re a villian just because you’re not using cash.
I haven’t tried any of the deli sandwiches yet, but the menu looks solid and has more options than the standard NYC grocery deli.

Since they remodeled this place has become aces. Great prices and great sandwiches. They also carry a variety of organic and vegan snacks– a first I’ve seen from a lot of bodega’s in the area.

Bought expired beer and they would not exchange or refund it even after I called and they said they would if I brought it back. Walked an extra 9 blocks just to throw out beer. Won’t be shopping here anymore.

Very good sandwiches with very good prices adding excellent service with fast delivery, highly recommended.

George’s is THE best corner deli in the city. George and his colleagues are so friendly and welcoming. They have a great selection and take credit cards :)

I come here almost everyday for an iced coffee and a sandwich, and I really feel like it’s my hometown deli. The staff is amazingly nice. Most of them are family of some sort. They know my order, and I can buy anything I need. They also have a great craft beer selection.

The new owner has done a great job. Very clean, lots more options, and the deli portion is awesome as well. They’re very courteous and helpful. So happy to finally have a great deli just a few buildings away. :-)

This is my neighborhood bodega so of course, I’m here all the time. I was a big fan of the old owners but I’m EXTREMELY excited for George to be here on the block. I’ve known George for a while now when he was working at another spot, and glad he took the step into ownership. Keep up the great work!
