I ate here and got the foodoni burger with fries, It was just okay but it was expensive. When I pay $ 10 for a burger I expect it to be more than just okay. The meat was flavorless and to be honest the bun was probably the most enjoyable part of the burger. The fries weren’t great either. If someone were to ask me about Foodoni I’d probably just shrug and say«you could do better». Maybe I should have tried a pasta dish or one of the kebab or gyro.

i was feeling tired and coming back to my neighborhood after having to work all the way in coney island. it was saturday night, i had no cash and i was looking for a place along broadway to grab some good food and bring home to eat. i had walked by this place plenty of times and decided to give it a try. got some kind of grilled chicken sandwich. it took a while to be made. brought it home, it was good enough to eat but not really impressive. probably won’t try it again.

I’ve been a big fan since they opened. Best Avgolemono soup(egg-lemon) and amazing Horiatiki salad are delicious. Good options, good prices and fast delivery. I ordered tonight however and somehow got cokes instead of diet cokes. I thought — no biggie — I call, they sen a replacement and I tip again. No dice — I got told off instead.

Was probably my own fault for ordering a salmon burger. But it was crazy dry with no sauce and the bun was stale. Their lemon potatoes were bangin though. Also they deliver and it’s quick!

I wanted to like this place. But I tried both their Chicken Donner & Pork Donner Pita Style. The chicken was well seasoned but the chicken tasted a bit off. The pork was better but a bit dry. I am def going to try this place agin just to give them another shot. Most other people I spoke with who have tried Foodoni– agreed it was a– ok.

A little slow on service but prices are cheap although not updated on the website. I like their lemon egg rice chicken soup, that will be my go to this winter!

Not the worst but definetly not that great. Service is ok, but food takes forever, and always check your order and your check, I have been given the wrong meal numerous times and overcharged. I think honest mistakes, but annoying nonetheless.

This place has great food at a decent price but I’m not sure about the girl who answers The phone for delivery orders. She took down my order, phone number and address then told me it would be 20mins. 30−40mins pass and I call to have her ask me if she took down my address correctly, in which she did not then to tell me how the delivery guy was lost. Why didn’t I receive a call about this? Then he finally gets here after I had to call again after 15min to see where he was since he shouldve been close by. I call her back one last time and she seems absolutely clueless about how to handle my order because It Was an absolutely mess! I had steaming greek salad and mousaka that was falling pit of the box, into the bag and leaking everywhere! Then she was saying she’d void it after I already paid for it. I told her I wanted a free meal next time, she complied then said«she would remember» and that’s it, really? No. I told her that I needed more confirmation then just her word. I took her name down and told her to tell her manager or wrote it down or something. Why am I needing to tell her what to do about this? She was even trying to tell me that I’d need to order on a Monday or Wednesday… I didn’t even let her finish as to why I would need to do tht. Instead I told her that it should be to my convenience since she’s the one who messed this all up! Good god.

I’ve been to Foodoni Grill about 5 times already, but this is my first official review of the place. To me, this spot compares a lot to Crave because of the similar menu options, but Crave wins the taste test hands down. However, I’m all about the bang for your buck factor and you can’t go wrong if you decide to stop in this place to grab a bite. I’ve had several dishes from this place but the skewers(aka souvlaki sticks) standout the most! I rank them in this order: chicken, pork and then beef/lamb. At a measly $ 3 a stick, you won’t find a better stick of meat anywhere in the area. I also had a burger here, but it was forgettable. The chicken doner, pork doner and steak doner are not bad either. If you like tasty affordable food or munchies give Foodoni a shot! For a party of 3, I dropped only $ 26 and we all left satisfied!

Long before anyone conceptualized a more elegant take on grilled cheese sandwich in Astoria, most of the Greek restaurants in Astoria have long been offering grilled haloumi. Haloumi is white cheese made of sheep’s milk from Greece or even Turkey that has a touch of saltiness to it. From Broadway to 30th Avenue and anywhere else in between, the signature scent of grilled haloumi pervades the air. As an avowed Mediterranean restaurant that just opened along Broadway, Foodoni’s menu is extensive. It has breakfast items, salads, appetizers, wraps, paninis, burgers, pizza, grilled items, gyros, souvlaki and pasta. I get out of breath just enumerating the groups of items! Such extensive menu did not distract me from zeroing in on the grilled haloumi with tomato and cucumber on pita bread. Delicious! My friend had the Cypriot panini which in addition to haloumi had Canadian bacon, cheese tomatoes and cucumbers. Of course, I wanted to trade as I always end up wanting the other person’s food. The Canadian bacon paired with haloumi was a match made in heaven. Foodoni’s extensive menu is enough reason to be back and try the other grill items. :))
