Good Mexican food, this is coming from a Californian too. Low key place, don’t get discouraged by the Pizza/Mexican combo. Never had their pizza but it looks okay. But yeah… weird combo. Burrito was good, as good as it gets in NY. Enchiladas were good, chips were authentic chips, the good ones. People are sleeping on Emilia’s!

I just moved into the neighborhood and tried Emilia’s for the first time the other night since it’s within walking distance. The enchiladas and tacos were AMAZING. Very good and authentic Mexican food. A little pricey but I will definitely be eating here often.

I place a delivery order and they didn’t show up. I will not recommend this place at all.

They aren’t a busy place, which means they don’t constantly make pizza, which means the pizza probably sits out for hours, making the cheese a weird texture. If I’m ever craving Mexican, I’ll give it a shot. They seem like an authentic little spot, but I’ll pass on the pizza.

Awesome food, especially their Mexican dishes! The pizza slices are very big, especially their Sicilian slices. It’s family owned and everyone is so nice! The chicken and chorizo tacos are amazing!

Having«Pizza» in the name before«Mexican Food» probably doesn’t do them any favors, but the Mexican food is really fresh and delicious. My girlfriend and I first went last summer and decided to eat in the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised right off the bat when we were served fresh tortilla chips with excellent salsa that was clearly made with very fresh, tasty tomatoes. After that, we got chicken enchiladas and the bistec torta. Both were very good, but the torta was especially delicious with nice slices of the great tomatoes I mentioned before. I’ve had tortas elsewhere in Astoria, and none of them have even come close to the bistec torta here. So, basically, ignore the fact that it’s supposedly a pizza place, and get yourself some fresh, authentic, delicious Mexican food.

Authentic mexican food in a non-pretentious location. I wish they would drop the«pizza» from their repetoire and just succeed with their uncompromising enchiladas and tortas! I ordered the enchiladas de pollo con salsa verde. It was hearty and spicy(spicier than other salsa verdes which are normally on the mild side). Dine-in and feast on homemade tortilla chips with a perfectly chunky salsa.

Nice little place off my neighborhood. This small cantina, has a full pizza over and an amazing selection of Mexican feasts… Very reasonable for the price conscious and you can assure a free nacho chips with salsa if you stayed in… Came here for my favorite al pastor and bisteca tacos all comes with hot red tomatillo and salsa hot sauce. Highly recommended

I had ordered a slice of pizza with bacon, jalapeño, pepperoni and a chicken torta. It was through grub hub and delivery was going to take an hour. I know that sounds pretty crazy, but I wasn’t about to venture out in the snow and rain to get food. It ended up being almost two hrs till I received my order. First the pizza was burnt and dry. Even thought it looked like it was on its last leg the pepperoni, fresh jalapeños and bacon almost revived it a bit. I thought it was unfortunate and dissappointing. The chicken torta was pleasing, but the roll it was on fell apart. I was not able to hold it and had to eat it with a fork. The chicken was moist and married well with the cheese, jalapeño with mashed beans. Overall it was ok I would give it another try;).

The land of Astoria is lucky to have a place like Emilia’s. The prices are very reasonable and the food is homemade and authentic. I usually get the enchiladas and it comes with a nice hefty portion of rice and beans. The quesadillas are great too, very cheesy. Definitely worth a try!

Not sure why they call themselves a pizza place. They have great Mexican food, though. Tastes like someone’s grandma cooked it

The Mexican fare here is excellent — very, very fresh and authentic. I had some enchiladas here, rice and beans, etc., and there was a good balance of crunchy veggies and fresh herbs. Love their salsa — yum. Pizza is not New York style pizza, but it’s pretty darn tasty. The crust is more bread-y and flake-y like you might expect from an Italian bakery. The people who run this place are super friendly and courteous, and I hope that Emilia’s does very well! A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Great little place! To be honest, I avoided this place for a while based on the way it looks and strange location. Turns out Emilia’s makes really fresh, authentic Mexican food. Huge portions, good prices too. Will be my regular spot for Mexican from now on! Now I have to muster up the courage to try the pizza…

Nice clean place! Loved the bistec y carnitas tacos-get them! Conveniently right across the street from Irish rover so after you have a few drinks grab some tacos for cheap right across the way!($ 2.50 per taco and onions/cilantro=delicious). I plan on revisiting this place soon! Not sure about the pizza here I haven’t tasted it so I can only speak on the tacos !

Was at trivia night across the street and only went because it was close. My boyfriend and I were soooo surprised as we had no expectations. This was some of the best mexican food I have had in NYC. It was delicious. Still recovering as I ate it all and the portions are big.

Nachos were really good and fresh, and the woman at the front was very nice.

This place has really good TRADITIONAL Mexican food. I’ve had quesadillas and nachos here and they have both been great. My good friend lives around the corner and so I come here from time to time. Not pricey. I haven’t tried their pizza, but I’m sure it’s good too.

I was originally somewhat resistant to moving to Queens from Brooklyn, but cheap, delicious Mexican food half a block from my apartment is only the newest example of why it was an awesome decision. I mean, this place is close enough to brave a snow storm. Loved the enchiladas suizas con pollo and salsa verde, and my man loved his enmoladas. I found a couple bones in mine, so just look out for those if you’re used to them being removed. I have yet to try the pizza, so I can’t rate it — I’m a skeptic that a place with Mexican food this tasty can produce an equally good slice, but I’ll update after I inevitably try one after a few beers.

Was on my way home and stopped in for a slice. This place is pretty close to my apartment, so I was really hoping it would be good. I usually judge pizza, by how well the plain slice is. This slice however, was eh. It was not very hot and may have been sitting around for a while. The cheese was a bit rubbery. Maybe the Mexican food is better, but I’ll probably not be back for the pizza.
