Best steak tips in town! I had our house warming after party here. Chris helped us organize it and helped us out by setting up an open bar with bracelets for our friends. Their wings are awesome too!

Not what it used to be. The service is not that great since they’ve changed staff. There was another gentleman who took over the bar on the weekends instead of Mark, and he was pretty good and made a mean LI iced tea. It seems they made him waiter/bar back now. The staff in his place is not the best. The food quality also declined this was our go to wing spot for events and parties. We had the wings and they tasted different. They were not that good, and I’m really disappointed that what was once our go to place has declined in service and food quality so much.

Not what it used to be! I have been coming to this place for over 6 years now, and it seems like their are getting stingier and stingier every time I go. They are famous for their wing and steak nights. The last time I went for the wing night was about 6 months ago and decided never to go back because they were terrible(very old and dry). What I was the most disappointed with however, was the steak during the steak night. It used to be around 16oz., and now it can not be more than 8oz. of it. I do understand that the prices of produce goes up and sometimes changes need to be done but please inform your customers OR raise the price of the meal — customers understand that prices go up, believe me. Or at least have the decency to tell your regulars that you are shrinking your portions. What I received the last time was half of the portion. Our whole table was super disappointed. Probably will never go back there.

Whether you want to watch the game at the bar or sit in the dining room and have a quiet dinner — Dillinger’s provides great atmosphere. Service is friendly and they have quite a selection of drinks to choose from(be in beer or something a bit stronger). The garlic pretzel is an absolute must!!!

A ton of local flavor. Wednesday night Steak Special was outstanding. Good place to relax after a long day of work and watch a game. Parking is hard to find but we’ll worst the search. The garlic fries are really really good.

Randomly came across this place online. My boyfriend and I were very happy with the service and the prices of the food. The chili cheese tater tots are to die for, it could be a meal in itself. The steak sandwich with mozzarella and garlic bread was so good, but had to take the majority of it home because I was so full from the taters. My boyfriend had the garlic wings and said they were great. We also shared the cinnamon topped pumpkin shock top. Service was good. We went on a quiet night so it wasn’t too busy. I heard that it gets busier on game nights.

Wing nights on Tuesdays are awesome! Get there early to avoid long wait periods. They also have other deals throughout the week.

Anything Dillinger’s lacks in fanfare it makes up for ten-fold in specials and friendly staff. This is one of those bars where you are greeted like an old friend upon arrival, which is especially hard to find in New York City. Tuesday nights are fantastic here where guests can chow down on 25 cent wings. .. I know! If you’re not drinking, you’ll have to order an additional menu item or soda to get the deal, but let’s be real, you’re going to want to slam some beers. Pay a little extra and try the garlic hot wings. They are to die for! Dillinger’s also hosts a steak night, a bottomless brunch and countless other«specials». It’s worth checking out if you appreciate a cozy hangout with people who make you feel right at home. Also the garlic cheese fries are up there as some of the tastiest I’ve ever tried.

This place is AMAZING !!! Check their Twitter as they post their daily specials on there ! Wednesday is 10 dollar steak night and wow it does not fail ! However wings night was kind of a disappointment as they use I guess the cheapest wings possible, however the wings on any night but wing night are amazing !! Get the dillengers sauce, best combo of spicy and just a little sweetness. Buffalo Mac and cheese is a must !! My friend and I travel all the way from the Bronx for this dish, the staff is also pretty great! Sometimes they may get a little«busy» with all the testosterone flowing during football season but they make it up with the great food and great attitudes(they apologized for getting distracted) So please ! Go spend your money here and leave with a full happy belly !

Everyone says they have great wings. Perhaps they were having an off day, but the wings did not impress me all that much. We stopped in in the middle of the afternoon and the place barely had a crowd, which is fine. There was a strong odor that smelled like sewage and it stuck around for about an hour but my friend was determined to have me try their wings so we stuck around. The hot garlic wings were extremely salty. I winced upon my first bite. The garlic parmesan wings were slightly better since they were a dry rub, however, the cheesy taste was a bit overpowering. Their beer selection is pretty disappointing. I was talked into a Belgium ale and it ended up being a crappy Shock Top. The bartenders are super nice, though, and the bathrooms are very clean. They also have additional seating in the back. Not sure I’ll be returning for the wings…

Deciding to hang with a friend whose birthday lands at the night when the Mets beat the Dodgers and loving food that goes well with beer, I was curious about the hype of this pub. We got seated pretty quickly to the back of the pub. The front of the store looks like a regular bar but the back feels like a ghetto version of those fancy dim restaurants. Ambience wasn’t a problem, our waiter Raymond was and the burger night deal. Basically he limited so many options for us which wasn’t the big deal but it was his attitude that turned me off. Burger night Thursdays is basically a classic burger(50% off) for 5 dollars BUT you need to purchase a beer which kinda adds up to the regular price and you get one topping on the house(typical onions and tomatoes not included and extras are charged) I didn’t mind breaking my sobriety for my 12 weeks(hip hip hooray), but their beer selection is HORRENDOUS, under 10 and all mediocre and macro! And for wings, $ 10 for 10 pieces and you can only select one sauce, I wonder who’s in charge of these rules. Then ordering my food, I changed my mind ordering the burger and beer deal. When I changed my mind on ordering the pabst blue(which is apologies on my behalf), I got this attitude from Raymond and I didn’t look forward to my food. I ordered the bullseye burger which is your typical bacon, fried egg and cheese burger. Plating kinda got to me not cause only of our burger orders got the underwhelming pickle included(didn’t miss out too much). My burger and fries plate looked so crammed that the burger couldn’t stand out and portion sizes look skimpy. My crave was satisfied due to these fatal flaws: 1. I asked for medium rare and I can feel the overcook within my teeth 2. I felt a lil chew from my bacon, definitely could’ve been rendered out longer 3. My fried egg was overcooked for sure, oozing yolk is the best part! 4. Minor one but I wish the bread was a little more toasted Next to cheese of my burger and the fries being good(wish it was a lil less soggy), I liked the dillingers wings. Dillingers sauce is basically sweet and spicy combination but the plating could’ve been better so each wing gets evenly sauced. Even if the wings is 4 stars for me, the 3 was for the rest of my experience. Don’t think about coming unless you know when’s the right night to with the right deals. Maybe Monday for those $ 4 dollar appetizers when you check in on Mondays(apparently for you Unilocalers, the price went up on that. Asked before ordering).

I’m writing this review as I sit at the bar, after much debate with the bartenders… Let it also be said I am a bartender and I know I am a bartender and I know how this business works First off, we come in and they wouldn’t let the three of us sit at the bar because someone they knew came in and they wanted the seats. «Luckily» for us, a table opened up and they got that, so we get he bar. We let them know it will be a party of 10, when they say then we can’t sit at the bar and order while we wait. Well we are sitting here now and 20 mins later get our pitcher The bartender, Alexis asks if we want to order food. We asked for a menu and she says okay and stands there, while she and the older male bartender stand in front of us and talk about how rude we are. Really, we are rude when you wouldn’t serve us. The Mike was much nicer, shaking our hand and apologizing for Alexis and apparantly the manager. But horrible rude service otherwise. I will NEVER come here again, no matter how cheap the wings

This is a Packer’s fan’s bar, so this place gets 5 stars from me. Tuesdays is 25 cent wing night, Wednesday is $ 10 steak night(as long as you order $ 10 of food with it). They have several TVs for your viewing pleasure, even though the bar is a bit narrow and cozy. The staff was friendly and attentive, and seems like a really nice local bar to go to.

Went with my sister recently for the special on wings on Wednesday. They offer flavors such a buffalo, Dillingers, teriyaki, garlic and cheese. The wings are great you can ask for the wings to be made crispy or even extra crispy, which is great. The extra crispy makes the wings just fall apart and and the flavor is that much more developed. The atmosphere is one of a sports bar which is great if your are trying to watch the latest games that are going on such as tennis, soccer, basketball, or even football. Just be warned the place gets packed and is quite small. the employees are great they listen to detail when placing your order and you do not feel rushed in any way. There are specials throughout the week which changes the options as to what one might want to order if they come back for more.

Quarter wings are so hard to come by now! Luckily, in a small bar tucked away in Astoria lies such a magical place. Every Tuesday night, Dillinger’s hosts their $.25 wings night, and I was roped in by one of my friends. It’s not the most accessible by subway(RM is about a 7 minute walk away), and I took the long route when the trains weren’t coming for a while(beautiful walk from 30th Ave N). Upon arrival, it looked like there would almost always be a wait. Because we arrived on the later end of chow time(8PM), we snagged a large table after only 15 minutes of waiting. Everyone at the table is required to order either a drink or side to get in on the wings deal, so we started the table off with a few pitchers and fries. Now the waiting game. They must make the wings to order because we waited a good 20 minutes for our first round. The wings themselves were pretty decent: meaty, crispy without being too crunchy, and doused with a good sauce ratio. The hot wings were a pretty typical buffalo. The hot garlic was the hot variety tossed with some minced garlic which gave it that extra kick. The barbecue were the most boring, but I’m not a big BBQ sauce to begin with. Our bones trays quickly filled up, and we were on to round 2(which came much quicker). In between courses, we got a platter of tatchoes, which were completely amazing. Exactly as it sounds, it’s everything in a loaded nachos dish on a bed of tater tots instead. They were gone in seconds. The bill was pleasantly surprising, only $ 17pp after a wings meal and several rounds of beer. Although it’s very out of the way for me, I wouldn’t turn down a future offer to meet up with friends.

Good food. Large menu for a bar/restaurant. Frozen drinks. Outdoor covered patio. I’ve never been disappointed with the food. HOWEVER; They did forget to order my meal once & I had to wait for it. When I finally got it, the shrimp was rare. I had to send it back. I finally got my meal as my party of 6 was ready for dessert. You would think as a good business practice my meal would have been comped? Nope! That did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Haven’t been back since because of that. I go to The Brewery now instead. UPDATE: Chris the owner graciously replied to my review, offering to comp my next meal & drinks. I will be changing this review after my next visit. 8÷20÷15UPDATEDREVIEW&RATING: I decided to revisit after the owners gracious reply. I went with eight of my childhood friends who grew up with me in the Boulevard Gardens in the 1960’s We try to reunite every year in August. Dillingers was the choice of venue. Chris definitely pulled out all the stops & we had delicious appetizers, a great dinner & some really great drinks. The service was impeccable. Very attentive waitress & waitstaff. We really had a memorable night, a lot of fun & a great time. Thank you Chris. I’ll see you again soon(I’m still in the neighborhood) & we have decided that Dillinger’s will now be the place for out yearly reunion as well.

Dillingers, I owe you a sincere apology. I have to admit, I’ve had you pegged all wrong. Apologies to the owner for jumping to conclusions based on one short, non-representative visit. I’ve been back at least half a dozen times now! Okay, first. Dillinger’s is quite obviously a bustling local spot. If the locals keep coming back despite all the options us Astorians have for places to eat and drink, then that’s telling. I’ve never noticed any outstanding drink specials in the times I visited other than the rum punch, which is sweet, delicious, served in a mason jar, and $ 5. The weeknight food specials are awesome. I went for $ 10 steak night and didn’t regret it one bit. It should be noted, however, that you must spend $ 10 on other items first(appetizers, beers, whatever) in order to qualify for the steak special. It’s understandable; meat prices have gone up and I’m pretty sure this is the first time the owner touched this price in 7 years. Still a great deal and good for splitting with a friend if you two are hungry, but not *too* hungry. The one thing Dilligers does best, in my opinion, is their dessert. «What?! A pub’s best thing is dessert?!» you may ask. An enthusiastic YES! I respond. Though that steak is equally on point. I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed or not, but I’ve brought a large group of friends here(more than once) just to eat dessert here. The cheesecake chimichanga is the freakin’ bomb. It’s a slice of cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried to crispy deliciousness. The cheesecake itself transforms and transcends anything it would be by itself. The almond cake is probably not made in house(though maybe it is? I don’t know actually) and is a light, just-sweet-enough end to your meal. The brownie sundae is a classic done right, here. It’s the perfect choice for when you want that chocolatey combo with icecream. Bottom line is, Dillingers is a great local spot, has great weekday food specials, and is an overall laid back environment to drink, watch a game, or grab dinner with the family. Thanks for being awesome. And save me a cheesecake chimi, please.

We came in to watch the rangers playoff game. And it was steak night I decided to get the steak with a side salad and vegetables on the side. Everything was delicious. Salad had the dressing on the side. The vegetables were steamed and had a little bite to them. This meant they were fresh not frozen. I saw some other special nights posted throughout the bar. Which really made me want to come back and try out the place on a different day!

Wednesday. Steak night. BOOM. The steak deal is pretty on point. When you spend $ 10 on anything(drinks, snacks), their steak is only an additional $ 10. I was told their seating could be limited but we got pretty lucky. The man who I assume was the owner(his son worked there too) was real cool and attentive. The type of bar/bar owner you wish you were a regular at(but I live too far). Anyways, we ordered beer and fried pickles to fill up the initial $ 20 between the both of us. Didn’t think I’d like the pickles but they were decent. Then the steak. Their steak is a sweet, tangy, delicious marinaded skirt(my favorite) with your choice of sides(fries, veggies, salad or mash). I ordered the mash and it was very flavorful. The steak seemed a bit too sweet and I thought I’d get sick of it but that never happened. It was good. It also comes with onions. Boy did I not regret. I think I cleaned my plate at half the time it took my roommate. Overall, I cannot wait to go back.
