I’ve been buying wine and liquor here for about 2 years. The couple that owns the place is really nice. They keep a good selection and it changes every day. I like to try new wines, and they always seem to have some new selections. They also seem to be about 10% cheaper than the other wine stores.

I really like this liquor store. It is a family owned business and the service is very friendly and attentive. The prices are fair as well. They have a great wine selection and my pinot grigio is always in stock. They also have good specials on liquor. I got a nice bottle of expensive tequila there for my husband which cost $ 30 here(and $ 50 at another neighborhood store). The space is a little awkward but they have made the most of it. I come here all the time, don’t know if that is a good or bad thing LOL.

my fave liquor store in astoria. will go out of my way to go here instead of getting off the train at 30th and hitting up one of the 2 more convenient stores on my commute. why do i go here? first, they have a great selection of basic, easy to drink white and red wines from reputable brands. i’d say they have more california and french wines than anything. occasionally i’ll go for something i’m not familiar with(and they have plenty of options for those feeling more adventurous), but most of the time i’m looking for a $ 10-$ 15 bottle of chardonnay, cab sav, malbec, or pinot to go with dinner. if you’re looking for something really crazy they may not have it here. the size of the space just won’t allow them to stock as much as, say, grand liquor on 31st. second, their refrigerated options are pretty great. they have two refrigerators, one of which is in the front by the registers and the other is kind of hidden — ask an employee where it is because it’s difficult to describe. they have more options in the hidden fridge. the store is kind of small and laid out strangely(hence the hidden fridge) and that may bother some people but i’ve never had an issue with it. third, the employees are super nice. i go there about once every two weeks and it didn’t take long for them to learn my name and the name of my dog, whom i bring in from time to time. even when i’m by myself they always make a point to ask how my dog is. super friendly, always willing to help you find something. also, i casually mentioned that i loved cupcake brand chardonnay(so good! try it!) because they had the sav blanc… and a few weeks later i walk in to find the cupcake chard in the fridge. :) fourth, their prices are more than reasonable. i tend to mostly stick to the same brands wherever i buy from, and their prices are even often times comparable to north carolina prices. i can’t comment much on their liquor selection as i’m not much of a liquor drinker. the few times my husband has wanted bourbon, they’ve had what he was looking for(bulleit, perhaps?) and they always have various sizes of my hendrick’s gin in stock(this is not usually stocked in the smaller, more sparse liquor/wine stores). last but not least, their hours are pretty great, especially sunday. $ 10 credit card minimum but if you’re just under that they’ll usually run it anyways. :)

Like Muho around the corner, it doesn’t look like much from the outside but the selection they offer is really quite good, especially their single malts, of which I am a hopeless connoisseur. They have stuff that Muho doesn’t have and vice-versa but that’s fine by me. It means more business for everybody. I didn’t get a chance to scrutinize their wine selection but it seemed pretty good for what space they have, indicating careful and knowledgeable editing. Their prices seem to be just as competitive as Muho’s which is incredible. I don’t know how they stay in business with such little profit margins(other than sheer number of sales) but I like it! Definitely refreshing to see over the prices in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Between Cypriana and Muho you’re pretty much covered. For everything else, I go to Grand on 31st St. I’m impressed that we have such solid shops in the area.

Standard liquor store if you need to make a «wine run». The selection is very basic and the usual if you need to pick up a bottle of wine to have with dinner. The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I walked in during a wine tasting and didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. It’s a tiny store and easy to navigate if you’re in a rush. $ 10 credit card minimum.

They have good, solid liquor and wines at the best prices in the neighborhood. I totally recommend them for those reasons and their friendly service too.

Pretty standard liquor store in Astoria. Refrigerated items are not in an obvious spot, though. Some of the wine categories are mislabeled, but the price variety is great. Selection of hard liquor is also pretty standard.

What’s wonderful about this place is that they stock reputable, tasty, inexpensive wines. The selection isn’t as exotic as other places(not a lot of Romanian or Argentinean stuff), but that’s because the shop’s focus is on quality, which is refreshing. Their Californian selection is expansive, and the French wines are well chosen. Last of all, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. By far, the best wine shop in Astoria!
