These people really care and have customer service down to a «t». I had occasion to call them for contact information for very important and timely siding product that was at issue. They helped me when no one else in the area did. to find a resolution for my clients. This isn’t the first time their customer service and sales people went the extra mile for me! I thought I would share a recent experience at City Lumber. My house front steps really took a beating over the winter and needed something to freshen them up. I wasn’t quite sure what to do. Structurally they were fine but they just looked dingy.
The clerk at City Lumber listened to what I had to say and when I suggested painting them he was very helpful in pointing out all the options. He was obviously a local person who knew exactly what would work and what would not. I decided on a Cabot stain which he mixed to the color I wanted and then he told me if it needed to be adjusted further after a first coat I was welcome to bring it back in and he would add more intense color. I’m not going to bad-​mouth anyone else here but the reason I go to City Lumber for things that really matter when it comes to my house is that those guys know the products they carry right down to exactly how they would work in different situations. That was true this time as well. I’m glad they are here.
