This place is an absolute gamble, totally dependent on who you get making your meal. Half the staff is incredible, and can make the best bagel sandwich you’ve had in your life. The other half misses ingredients, puts too little/too much of ingredients, or is very sloppy. This used to be my favorite spot in the area to get a bagel or bagel sandwich, but not since they hired several new people. Come here at your own risk.

Not my jam. The long lines don’t bear out; the food is only slightly better than middling. Coffee is blah. And in general, the layout of the counters/cash register makes the flow of foot traffic a nightmare. Try NYC Bagel and Coffee house down the street. They get right everything this place does wrong.

Lots of shmears and lots of staff behind the counter. Very busy place!!! I asked for a plain bagel with the lox shmear. My bagel came as a sandwich with half a tub of cream cheese. I had enough cream cheese for 3 full bagels! It was too much I had to scrape it off! I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice and got served freshly squeezed and warm.

Just came here to have breakfast after arriving to New York from La Guardia Airport. I knew these bagels were going to be good because I did my research before coming, but they exceeded my expectations! I had an oats and raisins bagel with scallions crème cheese and plain crème with honey. The flavors were delicious and my breakfast was a success. I also had a mocaccino with soy milk and it was good too. When you come here you will probably find a small line, but trust me it is totally worth it!

I think it’s the best bagels in New York. My favorite is the everything bagel with lox and scallion spread, which they heap on to your bagel. Price is a little steep, nearly $ 5 but it’s quality. Make sure you ask for it toasted, it doesn’t taste as good when it’s not. I made this mistake once, never again

I stopped here a couple of times while visiting Astoria for a week. MUCH better than the competitor a couple blocks further SE. Obviously popular but lines move quick — these employees really hustle! We chose 3 different bagel combos each. All had perfect texture to the bagels. My poppy seed bagel was fresh out of the oven! Nice quantity of cream cheese, and a good selection(I loaded a photo). Fair quantity of smoked salmon as well. We must return for some of the sandwich choices next visit. The house coffee was very good. Better than the street carts yet not up to Starbucks standards.

Good bagels. Great selection of cream cheeses. The bacon scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel is my Sunday morning go-to after a Saturday night out.

My brain is mind blown… went into store location before my hair cut and I ordered a couple chicken cutlets to eat later. I got hungry and cut up a cold chicken cutlet and had a chicken cutlet orgasm! WHAT… know your asking yourself what I’m talking about and if I’m a crazy lady… swear I’m not… It was so good I didn’t need to heat it up but imagining it will be even better if that is possible. My chicken orgasm is finished with my last bite. Sigh… Goodbye;) Further note: while I was waiting in line I thought to myself why I like the multi grain bagels so much and it’s because of the sunflower seeds. Then I thought how awesome it would be if you guys had a sunflower seed cream cheese. Went home and made it myself to test it out… AWESOME! BB needs this CC as their new flavor. Swear you won’t go wrong. Otherwise make it yourself… use the salted sunflower seeds;) tastes better

Brooklyn Bagel has by far the best bagel I have had in New York! They also make mean sandwiches! Be aware of the really long lines in the morning, especially on Saturdays. Some times the service is subpar, but it doesn’t stop me from coming in, as the food is consistently good.

The service was horrible . First I walked in asking for a potato bagel and they look at me like I have three heads. In one of there pics on Unilocal they have a potato bagel and of course I wanted to try it. The guy seem confuse win a idiotic look, when I ask for the potato bagel, it felt so awkward I just gave up on the potato bagel and just got the plain bagel with cream scallions cream cheese, even when I asked for the scallion cream cheese he looked confused. :/Overall the bagel was good fresh, the scallion cream cheese was to bland, I like to feel the scallion peaces when comes to scallion cream cheese this on it seems the shredded the scallions. To blended fort taste. Sad I was hype to find a place besides my two star DD. But am good for now. :)

How have I not reviewed this? Well, there’s not much to say that hasn’t been said. The bagels here are the best I’ve had. My parent’s won’t let me visit them unless I’m bringing bagels from here. The cream cheeses are amazing. My favorite of all time is Wasabi Salmon. The breakfast sandwiches here are good — but I don’t think you should come out of your way for them unless you’re having them on a bagel, then ok. The coffee they serve is so smooth. Great prices on large iced and it’s on sale every Tuesday! The staff here is really friendly and they’ll remember you once you’ve gone a couple times — a really friendly neighborhood touch. No way this place can get less than 5 stars. Don’t let the line out the door intimidate you — it goes FAST.

This place is hands down the greatest place to get a NYC bagel. I’m biased for thinking that the Ditmars location is best simply because I lived one block away. I’ve been to other locations too, but this one has the nicest and quickest staff.(They could use more seating and space though!) I almost always get a whole wheat everything bagel with low fat veggie cream cheese(trying to be a littttle healthy here, yaknow?). The bagels are huge — big enough where I can normally never finish mine. I’ve taken all my family and friends who have visited me from upstate New York here, and they all love it too. Different, crazy cream cheese flavored every week, a nice variety of tofu spreads, AMAZING breakfast wraps and sandwiches too. And they have different brews of coffee every week too — from different places all over the world. If I’m not getting my coffee at 60 Beans across the street, I’m getting it here. I love the pumpkin cream cheese in fall and the pistachio the week of St. Patrick’s Day. You can really never lose when eating here though, everything I’ve ever tried has been phenomenal.

Slightly toasted Bagel loaded with Cream Cheese. Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company delivered! The line maybe a little long on a weekend morning. There is also really limited seating but most of the patrons were here for take out on a nice sunny morning. The cream cheese was light and tasty. The bagel with the perfect chewy texture and with the light toasting give the outside a little nice crunch. I just love bake shop… so it was a 4 Star experience for me!

This shop was attractive inside out. I was new to Astoria, walking around on my second day in this neighbourhood. Was glad that I went in. Love the variety of bagels, the many types of spreads and the friendliness of the staff. I am a coffee girl. The daily brew can be better though. Looking forward to coming in to try on the bagels and the spreads!

Wow I had such an amazing breakfast bagel. The everything bagel toasted with eggs and bacon sandwiched inside. It was all hot, garlic, crunchy and bacon goodness. I could have had only half of that and I would have been happy too! Coffee is great too. Love this store!

What a great bagel spot. Brooklyn bagels in Queens… I don’t even know what a delicacy is anymore. Brought to you by the masterminds of 60 Beans, this restaurant group nailed their niche. They have a cream cheese and bagel for everyone. The 20 min que is well worth the wait, but to be honest, I haven’t been to any other bagel shops on Ditmars. But for what I know, this place serves up a better bagel than your toaster, but also adds more cream cheese than anyone in their healthy mind would. But hey, it’s good. To be picky, the lox spread could certainly use more salmon, if you have to increase the price, fine by me.

These bagels ROCK! They were voted best bagel in the city(I think) and they definitely deserve it. There is always a line out the door on weekend mornings, because it is that good! They have a huge selection of cream cheeses, and also a variety of tofu cream cheeses. I don’t eat them but they are a great option for vegan friends. Their bagels are perfectly chewy, slightly crispy on the outside and soft all at the same time. They also have really yummy oatmeal, soups, fresh squeezed orange juice and a variety of sandwiches. Their garlic bagels are killer. You will have terrible breath all day, but in the best way. LOVE.

There was a line to the door but we did not wait long. Customer service was awesome. I had the hot green tea with the pumpernickel bagel(egg and cheese and veggie cream cheese on the side). It was super tasty and very filling! My friends tried the coffee and thought it was awesome so if you are a coffee person, give it a try. We got 4 bagels, 2 coffees, 1 tea and 1OJ for a little over $ 30.
