Solid diner. I live close by and often find myself here when I’m hungry in the whee hours of the night. Thank god for 24 – 7 diners. — I have come during the lunch special hours and split a sandwich with someone. It’s way too big to finish on my own. — I’ve also tried the open faced turkey sandwich — lots of food but white bread at the bottom? Pretty gross — The bowl of chili is a good snack — Their soup is very flavorful and yummy but I know it’s mostly because there’s a bunch of salt — The breakfast wrap is also great. The home fries leave much to be desired. — Sometimes they have free homemade cornbread muffins

I fucking love diners. I had an amazing breakfast here. My French toast, eggs, and sausages were hearty and made me feel like a happy boy. The hot chocolate was immaculate. The food was cheap and our server had this no nonsense attitude that was so refreshing for NYC.

So we came back hoping for a better experience and we definetly were satisfied! I took my mother there for mothers day she wanted a gyro and it was packed. So we decided to sit outside because there was available seating and it is new. so I wasn’t expecting much and hoping for good service. Well, that’s what we got! Pam was great, she introduced herself with her name right away(I like that, I usually ask anyway) they were a bit overwhelmed cause it was busy but my mom was very happy. The food was excellent and the girl checked on us just enough times to make sure my mom was satisifed. She definetly earned her generous tip! I used to be in the business so I know how hard servers work and if there good I treat as such!

Decent place for breakfast. Waffles are very good, one of the few places in NYC that does them right. Prices are very fair. Good service and good coffee. Has not disappointed.

The service was great at the beginning, but once our food was received our server never checked up on us. There was a hair in my boyfriend’s hash browns that was very stuck around a potato. I asked for a tomato and was charged $ 4 a side. I realized there was no hot sauce on the table after the server delivered our food and had to eat without out as no one ever came back until we needed the check. The girls at the front were nice, and I liked the décor. not sure I will come back.

I live nearby and have been here on numerous occasions and firstly, the Bel Aire Diner isn’t going to win any top food awards or anything. But there is something awesome about this place and I really enjoy coming here. It’s great for just a quick bite to eat and it’s the best place I’ve eaten when nursing a hangover! You are greeted by a hostess and always seated immediately. it’s a very big diner. The menu is absolutely HUGE and has a ridiculous amount of choice; It is nearly too overwhelming to choose. My tip would be the sliced turkey triple-decker or the Irish breakfast. Both are fantastic and come with french fries which are delicious. Service is incredible here; quick and efficient. Never had any problems and they always earn their tip. Items are reasonably priced too! I also had to bring desserts for a party and I stopped in here to get some to take out. Wow! Unbelievable cakes and pastries here, I got the carrot cake, cheesecake, chocolate cake and tiramisu. They are huge and great value for money! All in all, I would highly recommend coming here, especially if you live in the Astoria area. Nice, no nonsense food, lovely staff and an overall great dining experience!

Decent diner, clean, most of the staff is friendly, whatever ive ordered to eat was pretty tasty and filling, so far best place to get a pastrami sandwich they aren’t cheap with the meat, prices are still in a good range depending on what you’re in the mood for. Delivery is kind of slow, even if you live 3 blocks away food usually gets to you cold and soggy.

One of the things that I truly miss from Long Island is their copious amounts of diners in every town. Although the food at diners are never truly spectacular, there’s something about that late night food that keeps me coming back. I’ve finally found my spot in Astoria. It’s adjacent to the grocery store I frequent and after passing Bel Aire so many times, I’m glad I finally ate here this past week. It has that classic diner feel with the leather booths and menus that stretch 10 pages long. I got my usual drink — a vanilla egg cream(always) and ordered their homemade Chicken Orzo soup with an Eggplant, Basil, Fresh Mozz panini. My favorite item was(surprisingly) the soup! It tasted homemade. It had plenty of noodles and chicken and was the perfect thing to eat during the cold weather lately. As for my panini, it was good. My eggplant was a bit too oily but it balanced out with the addition of the fresh basil and mozz(glad they didn’t skimp out on those). It was a good portion too. I’ll definitely be back! Maybe breakfast for dinner!

Excellent diner in Astoria. Love the complimentary mini muffins that are served with brunch. Always a reliable option for brunch when you can’t decide where to go and want something good and filling. Highly recommend the breakfast bake for brunch. It’s eggs, avocado, and corned beef hash and it’s delicious. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a solid diner to grab breakfast/brunch in Astoria!

I do not eat here often since they do not really offer anything I would consider special. Couple of nights ago, I called them to order for delivery. A man, whose voice and tone was not very pleasing, answered the phone. This man had difficulty hearing me because the background noise was really loud(people talking and music playing). He told me he cannot hear me. I would talk loudly so he can hear me but every time I speak he would complain that he still cannot hear me(with a very mean tone). He was literally yelling at me and getting all pissed off for not hearing me. So eventually I gave up on him. I told him to forget it and hung up. I am never ordering from them ever again! My suggestion is to have a much nicer person answer the phone and have that person sit in a quiet place so you can actually hear people talk. This way you don’t lose business due to unpleasant customer service.

This place is okay. The service was really great, so this review is solely based on the food. I ordered the french onion soup which was really delicious, however the turkey triple decker I ordered was honestly eh. My boyfriend ordered the fried calamari which was sooo smelly, I was honestly repulsed(and I love fried calamari) and also worried that he would end up making out with the toilet bowl when we got home. I don’t play with food poisoning. My girlfriend ordered the matza ball soup which she claimed was delicious but her meal, a breakfast quiche, was just eh as well. Once again, the service was really great, but the food needs a little work.

Oh Bel Aire Diner. What a wonderful run we’ve had. Your late night service catering to my pre-hormonal burger cravings has saved me from consuming my own arm on many occasions. Your salads also saved me from my own body craving for your delicious waffle fries and chicken salad sandwiches. Mike, our most favorite waiter in all of New York City, keep up your awesome spirits and keep serving us hungry mid-twenty fatties. We will see you again soon.

Ehhhh. This diner was nothing special. Customer Service was mediocre. Food was ok for breakfast. Felt a bit depressing inside.

Came here late night after a party. It’s a 24 hour diner so I didn’t come here expecting the world but the food still left a bitter taste in my mouth. I ordered pancakes and sausages a meal which is impossible to get wrong — or so I thought. The pancakes were dry, there was remnants of shells in the eggs and the sausages had a plastic like taste to them. The diner itself was clean and nicely lit and the waitress who served us was pleasant and the reason why I gave an extra star but I would not return here. My friend ordered corned beef ash. It looked as though they had mixed fresh and older corned beef ash together in one dish as there were at least three different consistencies in one meal! The soda comes with free refills which was a bonus but that was probably the highlight of the meal.

I found a staple in my apple crumb cake please do not eat from here. I know it sounds crazy but believe me I was just as shocked. Thankfully I found it before eating it. Disgusting never again!!! I posted the picture of it also

Bel Aire Diner is your standard Queens Diner. Lots of options and choices. I guess if you wanted the kitchen sink with gravy; I am sure they have it. My standard orders are breakfast food items. Eggs over easy with ham, fries and toast or pancakes with ham or a club sandwich. All good. All tasty. Fries hot. I always like to order my fries well done. Over easy eggs; medium and perfect. Coffee hot with refills. Service, very attentive. This place is really a solid Queens Diner. Food always comes out fast, hot and tasty. Oh yes; 247 and they take Credit Cards. On Seamless for those deliveries. Just a bit to far for my delivery needs.

Three stars because it’s truly okay borderline good, if I were to rate this 4 stars and you happen to order their not-so-good quesadilla you’d be pissed at the misleading review. This place has a lot on their menu and they might miss the mark on some of their selections but they do have a few good items that are a sure thing. I’ve noticed the chicken and waffles are a popular item, I myself had the baked breakfast recently and thought it was great and my previous visits I’ve always ordered pancake and eggs(how could you go wrong?) and it was definitely diner-great quality! If you’re in the area this is a good spot to get your diner grub on.

Bel Aire Diner is a staple in Astoria. I live around the corner, so I am always ordering for delivery and never really have had any issues. I would recommend Bel Aire for their soups(cream of turkey on the weekends is AMAZING!), sandwiches, salads, burgers, wings etc. I can’t recommend the pasta here, I once ordered penne alls vodka on a lim at was disappointed… but I probably should have known better! The fresh lemonade and freshly squeezed orange juice are both delicious. The prices are a little higher than I wold like to spend on normal diner food but the quality of my rotation of go to dishes and service is pretty consistent, so I guess its worth it in that sense. Favorites: –Cream of Turkey soup –Chicken Orzo Soup –Club Sandwiches –Any of their burgers –Grilled Cheese with Mushrooms –Greek Salad –Chicken Wings(they are not tossed in any sauce, but have an amazing crisp to them and dipped in blue cheese or ranch tops it off) –Fried Egg Sandwiches
