Astoria Co-Op grocery went above and beyond to get me exactly what I requested. They put together a gift basket for me that was expertly curated with local and fresh food. They also delivered it as a courtesy! Will definitely be a returning customer!

Great selection of healthy food including local and organic produce, well-sourced meats, and a fantastic grab and go deli. My favorite place to shop for groceries!

Very helpful staff, clean and well stocked products. I came to purchase essential oil for making hand cream and I found a fairly good selection of common oils. Im a kid of the 50’s and I’m sure ingested enough pesticides to glow after I’m dead, so I’m not sure I’d make this a regular stop, but it has all the special items I occasionally need that chain stores don’t carry.

I definitely recommend this co-op if you are hungry and in the area. My sister and I were visiting Astoria from Seattle and we wanted some quality chocolate to snack on during our Oregon vacation. We stopped by the co-op and fell in love with first sight. There are cute flower pots outside, ample parking, and outside seating(a general friendly look). Inside, the place is very small but has a surprisingly varied selection of bulk, alcoholic beverages, ready made foods, beauty products, and most importantly, chocolate. Some items were more expensive than your average market however I also saw items that were cheaper. I saw some good sales deals too. You should check out the co-op if you haven’t already and try something new! So many products that you don’t see in other stores are packed in this adorable store.

This place is the best! I came here almost every day for healthy lunches and snacks while I was in town for the Astoria Music Festival. The selection is great and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Wonderful little grocery store that has everything you need. Great bulk section for bike tourers who need to re-up supplies including cooking oil and dr. Bronners soap.

I can hardly believe there is a place at the coast for such incredible organic products! When it comes to wine, my stomach can only handle organic(sulfites are evil) and they had some there! SO good to know when visiting! They also have a juice that’s less than $ 2 and incredible… I think it was a tropical mix in a small glass bottle near the to-go items… so so good! I only stopped in for a fast pick-up of things but I loved how they raise money for the Astoria High School to get organic produce. Also in their bathrooms, they have free samples of their high quality lotion! The only thing I wish there were more of are vegan take-away options for the car ride back to Portland. Overall, I was delighted to find this place.

Expensive! Produce is 3x the price charged at similar stores in Portland or Vancouver. They know they’re the only game in town and boy, do they take advantage.

Although I had been in earlier years this was the first visit to this location. We needed things that couldn’t be found at Safeway. They were at this small store. Prices seemed fair: far from a bargain but not unreasonably high either. Staff was both friendly and helpful.

Expensive, but nice to have an option for food downtown without having to drive to Safeway. A purchased a bunch of corn here for a BBQ and was a bit disappointed to find after shucking that a number of the ears were malformed and missing a lot of kernels. Sort of annoying when paying something like $ 1.30 for EACH ear, but we made do. The taste of the produce itself was very good.

Love it! If they don’t have it, they’ll order it. The staff are awesome and it caters to the Celiac and all the food allergies out there! Great variety of gluten free food. Membership prices are reasonable.

Cool store, nice selection, friendly staff. It’s tough to find some gluten free stuff or fresh honey in Astoria(I’m new) but this place is awesome. Plus, they’ll offer to order items from their vendor if you tell them and it’s available.

I will be the first to admit that I am not the poster boy for all that is earthy, crunchy, healthy, and wise. I am a hell of a lot better than I was mind you, but there are just some things that I will crave(gluten, Jack In the Box Tacos, Real Moo Cow Meat, etc). They say that you can’t take it with you, and that is good, because if you wish to live longer and healthier(though why do so many health food junkies look so sickly??) your monetary load will be much lighter when you slip off this mortal coil if you shop here for all of your needs. It is a sad commentary in Amerikkka that all of the healthy options are so damn costly. Some of the mark up is pretty outrageous, though I suspect that it is the manufacturers that are the main culprit and NOT the Co-Op as much, so we can’t spit upon the messenger. This is a small but well stocked little location. What really stands out for me are the awesome employees. I have yet to have one be rude, unprofessional, nor inept. They are always really eager to assist or point you to the person who can help. They always seem to have some samples out to try that are pretty decent in most cases. Produce can be hit and miss, and remember that some of the plants that are sold are from greenhouses or come from more inland, so they will not thrive in our brutal coastal climate. They offer a great selection of teas, cold case items, and bulk staples. I am really into supporting local business, so I make a habit of popping in to get a few things now and then. This is a nice place to scout around and find something unique and more healthy for a meal option and support the local economy at the same time. Maybe one day, we can unite our voices and make the government and greedy profit mongers start to market healthier food at a more affordable price so all can benefit. I would love to see the same effort used to make all of the nasty chemicals additives and GMO’s be applied to making food that is healthy AND taste really good.

I am always super impressed with Astoria co-op. It’s super clean, and they have a great selection of everything from salads to drinks to snacks to really whatever you are looking for. I usually come here at least once every time I’m in town to check out what they have, and get some tasty eats.

The pre-made food is fantastic. Sandwiches and Salads are so freaking good!!! The choices are great but everything is costly! Love the COOP!

GOCOOP!!! This was a great little gem that we found a bit out of the main drag of downtown Astoria. It housed a really good selection of natural and whole foods, at what seemed like a fairly reasonable cost. It was also super clean and had a great little play area for kids. I always try to hit up the local co op when visiting a town, and this one was certainly worthy of a trip.

A moderate sized co-op grocery with a large variety of bulk and packaged health foods. I’m a co-op fan and there’s not much for me to dislike about any co-op. As far as variety goes, there is a the bulk food section — they have all sorts of legumes, seeds, dried fruits, grains and nuts. In the frig section, they have milk and cream in a glass bottle, soy milk, hemp milk and other beverages and cold foods. The packaged food area had a lot of choices also. I will definitely stop in again.
