We went on a Thursday night around 6 pm. Service was slow even though we were the only customers in the whole restaurant. Food tasted good though.

One of my new favorite places for Afghan food, the décor is absolutely beautiful. It’s usually not crowded since it’s a newer restaurant. The food is great and the waiters are always friendly. However, the service can be slow.

Strolled across this new spot in Astoria since I love afghani food, thought I would go and give it a try. It was a very very cool day and you felt it inside the restaurant. We were seated immediately and served whatever drinks we wanted within a reasonable time. The waitress was extremely polite and accommodating. There were no flaws in the service from the beginning to the end. The food was fabulous. Only thing I would say is the chicken kebab on the skewer is a small portion for the price. It only comes with one skewer I think you should come with at least two. Nonetheless great service great food definitely coming back. Reasonably priced as well. The only other downfall I can say, it was cold outside, they should have had a heater inside. The poor staff was wearing jackets which wasn’t reasonable.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I was pleased as ever!
Pros:
1) Usually empty, so don’t even bother making a reservation. You can show up and expect to be seated.
2) I ordered the 4 course meal which came with rice, diced chicken, chicken kabab, and 2 beef kababs. The food was perfectly made and I was shocked at how big their portions were.
Cons:
1) a bit dry for me but with the white sauce they provide, it made it easier to gulp down.
2) The food takes forever to be made so the wait time ended up being 30−40min.
Nonetheless, I am gonna go back because I was satisfied with their food!

This was by far the worse restaurant experience that I’ve ever had. And it wasn’t the food’s fault. Our mistake was giving them another try after the first horrible experience my friends had. But they said the food was good so we thought our experience would be different. The main problem was the waitress and the owner. We waited 20 mins expecting her to give us a MENU! Until we asked for it. We put our order in and didn’t even receive our drinks until 25 mins later, let alone our appetizers. We kept asking the waitress for our drinks and she only bought half of them out. Then she brought the appetizers COLD! We had to take it back to the chef ourself because she wasn’t even attentive to us. She was on her phone. Then she finally brought our drinks back but it wasn’t even the correct drinks. She gave attitude to my friend when he asked for iced tea. Finally 45 mins later only half of us got our food. We finished our food while the rest of us were still waiting! (Keep in mind that the food that came out; ²⁄₃ was incorrect) we cancelled the remaining orders because we were fed up with waiting over an hour and kept getting attitude. We even tried speaking nicely to the waitress and the owner telling them that customer service doesn’t work this way and she should be more attentive and polite to the customers. She rolled her eyes and walked away. We were not happy at all with the way they acted and the owner was even worse. They do not know how to run the place the proper way. The chef deserves better and he should work somewhere that’s worth his food and respect. I strongly suggest no one goes here if you have any self respect for yourself. These people will rip you off and treat you like dirt.

I had it delivered to me since I was at work the wait time was average which is way better then most of the places and quality was just amazing hands down.

Very easy to miss this place, but I am glad I didn’t. Went in to see a very nice ambient LED lights and a friendly staff. I ordered the Lamb kabab with Rice and the lamb was tender and the rice was perfect, Will definitely come back to this place.

Me and my family came here for some afghan food, being afghans and all. I ordered the lamb shank which was moistfully cooked and tender and the sauce it came with was on point! My wife ordered steak medium but it was pretty raw in the middle and cool to the touch. I mention this because when we mentioned it to them they rectified it pretty fast and cooked it perfectly. She loved the steak. My son loved his burger and cheese fries (kid friendly menu). The food was great but don’t sit against the wall benches because it’s a few inches short of comfortable and you’ll feel like sliding off…

food is very tasty… i have never had such tasty kebabs. and the presentation offcourse very nice n attractive. definately going back again.

The food is amazing! This is my second time here but the first time making a review. My friend had to catch her flight so we had to rush out. The server was so nice and attentive even though we were leaving. My friend had the chicken and beef and I had the chicken and lamb. Amazing! Flavorful, tender, cooked to perfection!
The music is great and authentic and the décor is serene and authentic. This has become my new favorite place to eat after waxing at naturaspa (best in NY) and shopping up this avenue.
You must come here. You will not be disappointed!
