I’ve had pretty terrible service here. And the coffee is really inconsistent, usually on the side of gross. Awkwardly, it’s also a hang out for lots of high school students, which isn’t the worst thing in the world but makes for a lot of jabber. Even though I live close by, I steer clear.

I had unexpected guests one fine day and decided to serve tea and some sweets. This place with a generic name is three (3) blocks from our house and so I ran to this store. It was a surprising discovery that their New York cheesecake is superb! Light and not too sweet… It was great to know that I don’t need to carry a cake all the way from Manhattan but that a great place is so close by.

Since Brooklyn Bagels is a walk from my house, I used to go here just about everyday for my breakfast, since it is four blocks from my house. They are very nice and she knows my order. Whenever I come in, I get «the usual?» I love the butterflies… the bagels aren’t that great, though.
