The delivery was an hour late. Food was cold. I called them and they told me they would send an new order, but I didn’t want it to take another hour. The(cold) food was huge, but not that good. Not ordering from here again. Was about a half alarm deli.

Food finally arrived, over 30 minutes late, but the guy was really nice and apologetic. He gave me a bunch of coupons that I can use. I didn’t like how he blamed it on Eat24, because the restaurant has to confirm receipt of the order in order for the timer to start, but he promised to take care of me in the future, so there’s hope. Food is hot and flavorful, but I might just pop into the deli in the future even though delivery is sometimes more convenient. PREVIOUSLY: At this point, I’m being generous with the stars. Ordered from 3 alarm deli through the Eat24 app(associated with Unilocal), and was told 45 – 60 minutes for delivery. Okay, I thought. Not too bad, gives me enough time to get some stuff done around the apartment before I need to leave. Now it’s been over an hour and a half for me to get a quick breakfast from a deli that is literally around the corner. I reached out to Eat24 because I saw reviews on here that the restaurant isn’t that great on the phone, and Eat24 confirmed that my order should be here any minute. 20 minutes later, still no food. I really wanted to like this place, and hopefully will be able to update this review with some positivity, but I’m far from impressed at this point. I was really hoping for a great place close by, but I guess I’ll go back to ordering from the place about a mile away. For some reason they get the same breakfast to me in less than 30 minutes.

Consistently horrible delivery times made me blacklist this place.

This restaurant was closed down by the health department and reopened, and while the food is great(always was and still is), the service is beyond dreadful. There are four issues, there is a an occasional language barrier depending on who answers the phone 2) they rush you off the phone which leads to inaccuracies in the order 3) orders are often wrong, even when ordering through an online service which faxes them on paper 4) the prices on the website do NOT match the prices they ring up on delivery — not only is this bad management on their part for not correcting it, it is dishonest.

Excellent paninis, very local neighborhood feel, very Queens, not glamorous or anything like that. just down to earth

Low prices on sandwiches but takes forever for delivery. About 50 – 60 mins for delivery 3 blocks away on average. 3 alarm… More like 1 alarm!

Omg why why why does it take you an hour to bring me sandwiches 4 blocks and still make it wrong!!! You speak perfect English what is wrong with this place.

I work nearby and everybody at my organization orders from this deli weekly if not daily. They have great daily specials, huge heros, and excellent salads. Some favorites: The ISCIA panini, The texas Burger Deluxe(All their burgers are huge and well seasoned), Healthy Omelet on a Hero. Delivery can be slow, but be patient. The size and freshness in relationship to the money spent, certainly make it worth the wait in comparison to most other delis in the area. Very reasonable — most heros can last most people for two meals.

Simply: Waited 85 minutes for delivery. Reported delivery time is 30 – 45 minutes(raise it to 60 – 75 minutes, you fools!). I spoke to them twice while I waited. I turned the delivery person away and immediately fought the charge, after contacting Seamless’s customer service. After reviewing the case, Seamless immediately refunded the charges. Guys: I don’t understand, if you aren’t in the business of delivery, then don’t waste your time and focus on what you’re good at, maintaining a deli and/or catering/large orders(raise your minimum order if that motivates you). Why would I ever recommend or order from you again? There are a lot of other vendors that sell the same exact food. It’s just plain stupid to waste people’s and your time.

I come to this deli because it’s conveniently close to where I live. Their sandwiches are good and consistent. The service it absolutely terrible. Sometimes, there is a very nice young woman taking the orders. More often, there is an older woman who doesn’t even say«Hello.» Today I simply stood at the counter and had to ask her if I could place an order. She looked at me like it was a huge burden to take my order and even talk to me. When I got home, I noticed that something I ordered wasn’t in the bag, yet I was charged for it. I’m going to find another deli in the area simply because the people who work at 3 Alarm Deli only care about firefighters and their regulars — not a way to run a business. I wouldn’t recommend this deli to anyone.

Average deli. When morning rush comes forget it your delivery will take more than an hour. Average average . But Philly cheese steak is bomb.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now. The salads and sandwiches are fresh and tasty to boot. The tuna is great and made fresh daily. This coming from someone that only eats BB solid white tuna & Hellman’s mayo. The sandwiches are also huge. I can’t finish a hero in 1 sitting.

One of my favorite foods is sandwiches. Think of the possibilities. Just about anything you want can be wedged between two pieces of bread and shoved into your fat American mouth. And these guys make some delicious sandwiches. Five bucks for a «construct your own hero». You simply cannot beat that sandwich deal– not even with a larger, more menacing sandwich. The only odd caveat is, though they say all sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato, if you don’t specifically request it when ordering from Grubhub, you don’t get it. This resulted in a rather pedestrian sandwich of turkey and bread. I have since learned my lesson and, as a result, all my sandwich dreams are fulfilled. Yes, I have dreams about sandwiches. And your mom. But don’t get angry, she’s usually just making me a sandwich. Naked. Did I mention the fast delivery?

I don’t know whats happening, delivery is still fast and excellent but the food has done a nose dive into a 4 day old pile of dung. the beef barley soup used to be excellent! then they changed the broth or the cook or maybe its from a can, but anyways its still crapola. This is coming from a guy who used to order from here 3 – 4 times a week, now I order 0 times. FIRETHECOOK

It seems that the deli is slowly getting better. It all depends on the staff and yesterday the staff had it together. Maybe they just needed some time to weed put the staff who didn’t really care about the food or service. This time around my order was right! The scrambled eggs were premixed in a big pot and then ladled onto the grill. Is it that hard to crack an egg and make it to order? Be prepared to dodge the crazy delivery guys on their electric bikes. They ride on the sidewalk and don’t seem too with it.

A great place to order from– quite a selection. Super fast with their delivery– said 45 minutes, I’d give it a solid 20 minutes and they were ringing our buzzer. The sandwiches are massive– rivaling Sal Chris and Charlies. And it was perfectly proportioned too– none of the over spillage you get from a lot of delis. Just right. Superb place if you’re in the area and are looking for quick bite.

I just want to state that I only do Unilocal reviews when i have something to complain about which is really unfair of me, but oh well. Out of the four times I have ordered from this place this is the only time that I have a complaint. The other times I ordered cold cut sandwiches like the Big Bird sandwich and the Southern Comfort sandwich and they were delicious not to mention they have really good sweet potato french fries. Last night I ordered the chicken cutlet parm with the sweet potato fries. The sandwich arrives hot and I thought it was gonna be good but they sent me the stalest piece of chicken in that sandwich. It was so hard I couldnt even chew through it. I ended up eating a cheese and marinara hoagie which, while delicious, was not what i paid for. The worst part is you KNOW that they KNOW they are sending you the grossest chicken they have but they figure since it’s 9PM that you will be too tired to care. Well i care. The sandwich sucked. Also the sweet potato fries were barely cooked. There are too many other delicious places in Astoria for me to order for them to brazenly send me that shit-fest of a meal. I wish I could give them 2 and a half stars but since they have been pretty good all the other times I will give them 3 stars.

Ordered delivery last night and it was basically inedible. Hamburger crumbed to pieces and seemed like it was more filler than anything. Pastrami sandwich was dry and flavorless. Avoid this place at all costs; there’s so much better food in Astoria.

Very bad experience today. First, delivery estimate was 45– 60 mintes, but arrived after more than 75. Second, I ordered the Apline Swiss Egg White Wrap, which is described: Three egg whites, Alpine Swiss cheese, pepper, onion, and mushrooms in your choice of wrap, however it arrived with no pepper, onions, or mushrooms. Third, when I called to inform them they made a mistake on the order, I was yelled at for not ordering properly. When I tried to explain that I shouldn’t have to specify the ingredients that they listed come with the order, I was told that I was wrong. Finally, the overall food quality was just plain poor. Under seasoned, poorly executed offerings. The hot wrap was cold, and my smoothie was warm. So unsatisfying. Over all, very displeased. I suggest that everyone follow my lead, and not order from or visit this place.
