On the first weekend of October, my family and I visited Fields of Adventure. This place was fairly easy to get to from the Harrisburg area(approximately a 30 minute drive). Prices were reasonable($ 8/adult and our little nephew got in free). The corn maze was super fun and pretty challenging. The maze was shaped like 3 different animals(octopus, whale, and turtle) and they use colored tape to help you navigate your way through. It took us about 45 minutes from start to finish. There were several times during our adventure through the maze when we got turned around. I would imagine it might be a bit tougher to find your way through at night. After completing the maze, we took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. The ride over was a little scary. I sat near the back of the wagon and I felt like I was going to fall off for the entire ride. Arriving to the pumpkin patch, we found a huge selection of pumpkins of varying size. Our day was complete when my wife found her perfect pumpkin for baking pies. After our time at the patch, we walked further down the road to find a slide with rugs. Sliding down really brought out the kid in me :) The only really disappointing part of the day was the food. On site, there was a small trailer that served burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. It would’ve been nice to have more festive food options(apple cider donuts, candy apples, fruits, pies, etc). Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our trip out to Fields of Adventure!
