True Blue Art Supply

The girly got most of her art supplies here. Not too bad a selection but downtown Asheville prices.

This place is HUGE for a Art Supply Store! Cool Spot! Very helpful and friendly staff!

Worth a look for random things you might not find at the chain stores, and some good deals on sketch and drawing pads. Huge selection of large-​format paper and painting supplies.
But, the staff isn’t exactly forthcoming with help, and my experience with putting your name on a waiting list for requested items has been horrible.
They had drawing pens I couldn’t find elsewhere, told me they always kept them in stock the first time I bought them, and when they ran out, they offered to put my name on the call list for when they got more in.
This was 4 or 5 months ago. When I’ve asked about the pens, they act put off, and now say the pens have never sold well and they rarely order more. This is the exact opposite of what the woman told me when she put me on the list.
Also, they HAVE gotten the pens since then… I’ve walked in out of curiosity and found them once or twice. I buy one or two when I see them, but I’ve NEVER received a call that they are in stock.
So, check the place out, just don’t expect much in the way of good customer service.

Based on a very nice email I recently received from true Blue’s owner, I am upping my review .12 stars to a perfect 5. It is nice as a consumer to be appreciated. True Blue is true blue indeed!
