We arrived at this location at 9:30 and were promptly told that the store was closing and they did not let us in. According to the door, they do not close until 11.

Average. I have been to A LOT of ice cream shops, frozen yogurt bars, desert restaurants, etc. TCBY never meets my expectations and doesn’t have a good variety of toppings. I know many better frozen yogurt places in Asheville so I recommend trying somewhere else before here. Pros to TCBY are that it’s a cute place for families, it’s clean, the décor is cute, and you can’t really ever truly go wrong with ice cream.

This TCBY is right around the corner from where I live, so I go there whenever I want a quick fro-​yo fix. Although they don’t offer local toppings and their selection does not rotate too frequently, they have (drum roll please): Greek frozen yogurt! I’ve not yet found another place in Asheville that offers the Greek variety, and it’s good stuff. I highly recommend that you at least sample it while you’re there. They also have dairy-​free, soymilk based frozen «yogurt,» which is another plus in my book. Their Silk Chocolate Almond is really quite mouthwatering.
As other tipsters have noted, their self-​serve bowls are HUGE! Keep yourself in check or you could easily spend $ 10 in one go… I’ve seen it happen. The store is always clean and orderly and the young employees defy the stereotype of the surly teenager – they are helpful and pleasant. I’ve even shown up 5 minutes before closing, with a Groupon (terrible, I know!), and was treated with respect and a smile.

Another «make your own serving» place with about 10 varieties of frozen yogurt (NO Ice Cream) at a time. Lots of great toppings too — blueberries, pecans, raspberries, etc. Its very easy to overdo it, though. Using the SMALL cup, you can easily spend $ 5 without filling it above the rim of the cup — so be careful.

What a neat concept: Self-​serve yogurt. Lots of friendly folks available to guide you through and ensure that everyone’s keeping it clean! Yummy yogurt with lots of options. I’ll go again!
