Wow wow the grinder killed. Capicola used and just a great mix. Add a great draft beer and this place really delivers

The beer was good, as were the sandwiches and cider, but the potato salad? Well, let me just say… it would be worth it to go to this brewery just to eat their potato salad! Good lord, that was good. It’s an open atmosphere, with half the place inside and half outside. Cool chairs and bar stools, wooden picnic tables outside. Looks like a great place to have a party or meet a group of friends. They’re dog friendly too, which is always fun. It’s a bit hard to find because their signage is pretty bad, but they’re working on that.

Man these sandwiches are fantastic. The rueben and italian grinder are ridiculously good. And the beer is great, plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Dogs and kids are here too.

Food and beer are both great! All the meats are cured in house as well. Great service from everyone there as well. Only negative is the begging dog.

Kinda hard to find but worth the search. Beers are good and solid and the deli next door serves tasty sandwiches. Plus you get to pet Burnie!

This was a cool place to eat for dinner. A buddy and I were passing through and it looked like a nice place and it was. The place threw us off for a minute as we walked in and one of the owners had her goat on a leash which wasn’t a problem for us just funny(haha). It was really nice to sit on picnic tables outside as well. However, the food is a little overpriced. The quality was good, but I think we overpaid. I would recommend to the owners to but a bigger sign coming off the highway because we could barely see the small one they had. Finally, the owners and employees were very nice and helpful and would defiantly recommend this business to anyone in Asheville or just passing through.

Didn’t live up to the hype for my boyfriend and I. Went off the 5 star ratings and came very hungry and ready for some beers. We’re from Atlanta so maybe it’s just a difference in beer tastes and all, but we weren’t impressed — and there aren’t any flights yet either(bummer) and food was alright — nothing to come back for, unfortunately. The 3 pepper xxx sauce on the other hand, is great. The brewery dog begs while you’re eating — I have a dog and it is what it is, but some people may not like it. Just an underwhelming experience altogether.

This is a great little brewery off Sweeten Creek rd. Dog and family friendly. Lots of outdoor seating. The Beers are very good, and the food is superb. Just sandwiches, but they are so good with outrageous portions. Highly recommended.

Amazing!!! Had some beers and one of the most amazing sandwiches I’ve ever had! Don’t miss this amazing spot for good beers and sammiches! My only suggestion : They need to make their sign a bit more visible from the road. Totally passed it by.

Excellent sandwiches. We had the Monte Cristo and Rueben. I don’t usually like Monte Cristo’s but this sandwich was very good. Light, not too sweet, and well balanced. The Rueben had just the right mix and ratio of corned beef, red kraut, and dressing on perfectly toasted marble rye.

Besides the great beer… I had their porter… The food is great, not the usual suspects it’s a creative, yummy menu ! The staff is awesome ! Outside and inside seating. The only one thing I’d suggest is a larger more readable sign/directional because it’s set back off the road. Go and enjoy!

I love this place! The owners are very down to earth. I’ve tried almost every sandwich and they are all incredible! The monte cristo is mouthwatering good. I’d say some of the best food I’ve eaten so far in Asheville since I moved here. The beer is also tasty!

So thrilled this place opened! This place is right down the street from my house with a great sandwich shop and a outdoor lawn area which will be perfect during the summer! They have both heat and it looks like air conditioning plus you can view the brewery from behind the bar. All of the sandwiches are fantastic and my favorite thing to order are the potstickers! If you get lucky there goat named Scooter might even be there for you to play with. There is also a really sweet old dog that will hang out with you while you enjoy a beer with your friends.

Great, great sammies! Monte Cristo is light where many are too much. The salads had were potato and macaroni homemade better than any home I’ve been to. Accommodated her GF desire for a Reuben with awesome, amazing house made pickled cabbage, really awesome! Oh and the beer John brews is good too.

In a word: spectacular. All the service was prompt and friendly. The beer was excellent. I had the IPA which was refreshing and delicious. My better half had the raspberry vanilla porter which was as great as it sounds. Outdoor patio seating(dog friendly) to enjoy the great weather and the smooth music they have coming out of their speakers. Best for last: The food was way beyond my expectations. The menu consists of mostly sandwich and sides. We got the grinder and just look at the picture. Was as fresh and delicious as it looks. Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual place to have some drinks and really good comfort food.

I love Sweeten Creek Brewing! I went there during their opening week, and they really surprised me with the high quality of their beers, the great service, and the SANDWICHES! I love going to restaurants when they’ve just opened, and then returning later to see how they’ve improved(or deteriorated). When we went back to Sweeten Creek Brewing for a second experience, it was just as good as the first time. The beers were well-crafted and unique, but so unusual as to be undrinkable. There’s also a sandwich shop in the back that sells incredible sandwiches; they’re not exactly a healthy option, but they’re a perfect pair with the beer choices. The location is a little hard to find, tucked behind some warehouse-type buildings and not visible from the road when traveling from the North. However, once you find it, it’s well worth the search.

Geez this place is great! I’m still shaking my head that it’s been open for two months and I hadn’t been there yet… Sweeten Creek combines a Sandwich Shop and Brewery for the proverbial one, two punch. The taproom is bright, airy and just the right size for about twenty to thirty drinkers. What I love most about this place is that the beers aren’t fancy and full of strange ingredients that I may or may not want to drink. Their names aren’t trendy either. They are solid«style based» beers like Pilsner, IPA, Pale Ale, Brown Ale, Porter and Black IPA — and they are delicious. The Black IPA was my favorite — just a well done, well rounded beer. Sweeten Creek has really nailed«the basics» and makes beer that is refreshing and drinkable, which sounds easy but isn’t. The handmade Pan Fried Vegetarian Dumplings with an incredible 3 chili sauce just made me love this place even more. Needless to say I was Impressed and these guys may have replaced Hi Wire in my #5 slot of Asheville Breweries.

Great place to grab a local beer(with a few select guest taps, too). Joe and Erica have a great thing started at their new addition to the local beer scene. Pale Ale and Brown are our«go-to» beers and were simple yet complex. Love all the wood tables, bar tops and friendly feel when you walk in the door. You can check out the brewing process as it’s got an open viewing when you head towards the back next to the deli, which has excellent food being served up by Chad. On our second visit in a week we tried our first of what will be many bites for lunch or dinner. Wanted to try several things but dove in with these first: Hubby had the Grinder with potato salad and I created my own Melt – pimento cheese, avocado and bacon on Texas Toast — out of this world! Glad to have nibbles with great local beer! Can’t wait to hang outside this summer by the creek!

Finally a brewery in my part of town and they have a pilsner too! Stopped by on a Tuesday evening to try their food and beers and it really exceeded my expectations. I tried the pilsner and the brown ale and both were excellent. The pilsner was very crisp and fresh tasting and the brown ale was smooth and rich. The pilsner was probably one of the best I’ve had in town and I’d put it up against some of the more established places any day. You can order food at the sandwich counter or at the bar. The food was good, and even though the menu is small, it seems to have something for just about everybody. I enjoyed it so much I went back again the next night and sampled the pale ale, which my wife really liked, but I stuck to my favorite. There was a good little crowd inside both nights which was great, and they have about 5 picnic tables outside which will make this a really cool spot in warm weather.
