My favorite Thai restaurant for eating Pad Thai and the Thai Tea is the best in town. The servings are so large that I end up with leftovers which is great and the service is quick and friendly.

The chicken Pad See Ew was good. The service was slow, but I enjoyed the food. It’s in a great location in Asheville, so it was easy to walk to on our adventure.

Awesome food and service! We stopped in after checking out the menu while walking by and were not disappointed! We aren’t from the area so didn’t know anywhere to go and it was awesome!

We found this place while on a bus tour the night before. It was quite crowded, and looked good. We set a reservation for the next night. We were greeted with a table waiting for us. We were given a drink menu(very reasonably priced) and ordered a few beers. One sad thing to note: they serve Pepsi products, boo! We ordered a few appetizers, spring rolls and edamame. Both were quite good. The spring rolls came in the rice paper and were cool and had good flavor. They came with a tasty peanut sauce to dip in. The portion for those was quite generous. The edamame was classic, nothing crazy to write about it. Oh, added bonus, they brought us all free salads with peanut dressing. Nothing super fancy, but a nice touch! I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. It was a perfect dish. Lots of chicken, noodles and veggies. I definitely didn’t leave hungry. One thing to note, my Father-in-Law ordered a beef dish with noodles and veggies. When I asked him how it was, he mentioned that there wasn’t much meat. I looked on his plate and he was correct. There were maybe 3 small pieces of meat(think 3 bites) in his entire dish. Very disappointing. Overall, good food, not the best Thai food I have ever had, but solid.

I want to bathe in their Mussaman curry. I want to drink it every morning instead of coffee. I want to pour it on my veggies and carry a pint of it with me in a thermos. I adore it. Sweet, mildly spicy(unless you ask for it hotter), full of the rich, coconut flavor Thai food is famous for, this is arguably the best version of this dish I’ve ever had. Suwana’s luscious broth is packed with potatoes, onions, carrots, peanuts, and tofu(if you want it), and it’ll feed your soul(and your rumbly stomach). While I can’t speak to much else on the menu(since I can never tear myself away from the glorious Mussaman), they have a lot to offer vegans: crispy veggie rolls, fried bean curd, mango sticky rice, et al. With such a lengthy list of options, it’s the perfect place for omnivores and herbivores to plunge together into a sea of spicy pleasure.

Popped in to this Thai place after a morning of walking downtown looking for something delicious and light to eat. We ordered Tom Kha soup and a couple of appetizers. The toong tong with shrimp and pork was delicious. It all hit the spot. They also have some veg options as well. PS service was spot on.

My wife and I are both have a weakness for Thai food whether it’s from a food truck, restaurant or home. We have a house in NJ and NC, and read an article from MSN of the best Thai restaurants in the 50 states. Fortunately, we had the pleasure of dining several times at Bangkok Garden in Hackensack, and they surely deserved that rating. With high hopes of Thai Orchid, I was dissatisfied with my entrée. My wife ordered Duck Curry in which she had enjoyed and I ordered Soft Shell Crab. The plate was drowned with sauce and wasn’t able to taste the delicate flavors or texture of crab. I informed the wait person and asked to speak with the manager/owner. She refused to come to our table, only to sit down to eat her own meal. Guess her meal was more important to her than pleasing a patron.

From the outside it didn’t look like much, but the staff was overly attentive as soon as I stepped in the door. From the care taken with the elaborate straw toppers to the napkin flower presented with a flourish I knew I was in an exceptional place. Food was great and a great price.

I enjoyed the shrimp with basil stir fry. Very savory with just the right amount of heat. I ordered medium spicy. The downside is the restaurant has no waiting area, so if you have to wait, it’s out in the street. The place is small and apparently popular, so a wait is quite possible. Also, if it’s only you, there’s no bar for a single, and that’s always uncomfortable. In a town known for its brewery’s, they don’t have beer on draft! All that being said, I do think the food is very good.

The best Thai I’ve ever had, and polite, attentive service. Even their sweet tea is fancy!

I would give it no stars if possible. We called ahead and reserved a table for 7 at 7:30. We arrived slightly early. Waited in the door with several other people for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally someone came over. I told him about our reservation and he walked away. There was table they had seated moments before we came to a group of 6. We waited and waited for someone to talk to us. Then we walked into the restaurant to the bar. Employees continued to walk by ignoring us. We stopped another employee. He shrugged his shoulders and kept saying one moment. After many minutes we stopped them again. I said«So, the bottom line is you gave our table away and you don’t care». He said«I don’t know what to tell you but it’s going to be at least another hour». Classy. We plan ahead because we are a large party, we are on time with all parties there. Don’t expect customer service or them giving a damn.

There’s something that sets this Thai place apart from the rest. The service is excellent, and the food… have you ever dreamed of the meal you had a week ago? You will after eating at Suwana’s!

The food here was decent, but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Service was awkard, but I wouldn’t say bad. We decided that overall this was a fine place to eat, and I think we are just spoiled by our favorite restaurant back home in Wilmington, which this didn’t quite live up to.

This place was delicious! I had the pad Thai, which was awesome. The servers were friendly and attentive, but unfortunately understaffed it seemed(only 2 servers for the entire place). It was also a little noisy. I would definitely go back for this yummy food!

Awesome dining experience! Food was incredible(love the drunken noodles), waiters were super helpful and friendly and value was well with it. Even the drinks had adorable straw-wrapper flowers.

It was good as far as Thai goes. The waiter(owner?) was very familiar with the menu and gave us some great recommendations. I would say it’s not quite as flavorful as the Thai food I’m used to here in Texas, but for North Carolina I’d venture to say it’s probably about as good as it gets. Beautiful restaurant… and packed at lunch time.

We called ahead to make sure there were gluten free options to choose from. After confirming that there were, we asked what the approximate wait time was. The woman on the phone told us 10 – 15 minutes. We arrived(within minutes of making that call) to throngs of people waiting outside. There is no proper waiting area, and no clear distinction as to whether we just waited/put our names on a list/try to steal a table. After standing awkwardly near the door way for about 10 minutes a man came up and wrote our name down, he told us a 10 – 15 minute wait. Now, I realize that’s just a rough estimate, but we stood there for 35 minutes. Once they sat us, we waited an additional fifteen minutes before anyone came to take our drink orders. The reason for the long delay? There’s no proper waiting area, therefore the people piling in blocked any view of our table. Our waitress admitted, «I didn’t even know you were back here.» At this point we were tired and hungry and not very amused with the disorganization. The food was good, but it wasn’t outstanding. We were hoping that the hideously long wait was a testament to how great the food was… we were a little disappointed. It wasn’t inedible, but I wouldn’t make any effort to visit here again.

I must admit, I thought this place would be underwhelming. Oh how wrong I was. This small unassuming restaurant looks exactly how you think it would. Our server was very friendly and quick to greet us. For an appetizer we ordered the fresh roll. We were incredibly hungry and those little things were delicious. Be sure to get plenty of peanut and chile sauce on yours. After what seemed like a lifetime, I went with the Phad Kee Mao noodle dish for my entrée. When I’m hungry, I become the most indecisive person on the planet. I don’t know why, but usually when I ask for very spicy instead I end up very disappointed and poking at my very mild food. Not here. I asked for hot and that’s exactly what I got. Do yourself a favor and order this dish. I was so happy to have leftovers. I knew my taste buds would jump for joy when I pull that little box out of the fridge later. Oh yea. Dessert was awesome. That banana thing is the shizzzz. Go here.
