Super 8 Motel

A good place to stay for a weekend away and not break the budget. The room was warm, bed was comfortable, and we were centrally located to a lot of excursions.
The front desk staff was not personable at all when we arrived. We were not told where the breakfast is, hours of the breakfast, fitness area or ice /​laundry area locations so we had to search for these things ourselves. It wasn’t a problem to have to search, but I would have liked a little more warmth from the front desk other than «initial and sign here.»
We went down for continental breakfast the first day and was surprised to find it ended at 9:30am since most places end at 10am. It wasn’t a big deal, but was easily avoidable had we been informed of the amenities when we arrived.
The toilet was in a strange location in the bathroom as well, right up against the tub directly in front of the door.
Overall, I wouldn’t be opposed to staying again if the prices are still beating competitors. Maybe just be a little warmer to guests.

This is going to be about the cheapest place to stay in near town coming in at $ 99 a night. The room was good enough. It has a TV, microwave, and a small refrigerator. The place was renovated not too long ago but hey it still screams cheap motel but you get what you pay for. Now coming to that. There is a continental breakfast that is complimentary. All I can say is come on, we are paying $ 99 and the sad waffle maker, cold serial, and bagels is all you can provide? Make an egg pan with some sausage, pastries, or something that’s decent. I guess you can’t have it all.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. We were traveling with our two dogs so of course we had to get a pet room. The room was spacious and unlike most pet rooms we stay in, it didn’t smell like cigarettes or previous pets. It actually smelled clean, which (sadly) is a shocker. The linens appeared to be brand new. It had a microwave, a large mini fridge, an ironing board, and a coffee maker.
Frankly I wish all our hotel stays were like this one was. I loved it, and let’s be honest, who says that about Super 8? Hopefully the rest of the chain will see this and update their hotels to match up to this one!
