Pepperoni’s Gourmet Pizza – East Asheville

I recently found out I had to stay away from Gluten so majority of my reviews will be on the gluten free factor but I’ll make sure to include the items I’ve eaten prior to this new lifestyle change.
First up my most recent experience with the gluten free meatball pizza. Y. U. M. I don’t know how to describe the crust. It doesn’t taste distinctly difference, just think flat bread pizza. You can order gluten free pizza in 10″ and 14″. The 10″ could almost be considered a personal pizza. I ate ³⁄₆ mini slices, but I’m all about leftovers for the next day. The meatballs are sliced in thick flat sections, the cheese isn’t to heavy and neither is the sauce. It’s literally the perfect proportions, in my opinion. (See the pictures)
Their subs are amazing. The chicken bacon ranch is my favorite. I always upgrade to the large for $ 3 more ($ 9.95 instead of $ 6) because you get a whole other sub. Again, leftovers are my jam. If you’re not a huge cheese fan, tell him light cheese. I always get their homemade chips as a side. They are always crispy and delicious and they don’t jip you. I’ve had their Teriyaki sub, it’s ok but not as good as their chicken bacon ranch! (Side Note: The chicken bacon ranch pizza is always delicious.) My next go to sub was their chicken parm. It is amazing and totally worth it if you’re a chicken parm fan! Get the homemade chips. Do it.
Their speciality pizzas are worth getting, so make sure to find one to try instead of just a basic cheese and pepperoni. Their cheese sticks and piggy sticks are both good! Their fried pickles are a good app choice.
I haven’t had any of their dessert options, but I wouldn’t think they would be anything less than delicious. If you’re looking for pizza, with a fun atmosphere that isn’t ridiculously crowded then Pepperoni’s is your place. They deliver as well!

Mediocre food and horrible customer service. We saw our waitperson twice – once when she took our order, and once 10 minutes or so after we finished eating. During the interim, our glasses became empty and dirty dishes from salads and meals piled up on the table. Kids’ meals were served scorching hot, and came with toys that were a choking hazard.

I have been eating at the Pepperoni’s in Swannanoa/​Black Mtn for a long time. We thought we would try this location since it’s closer to us. We came in around 8:00 pm on a Sunday and the place was dead. There was only one other table in the restaurant.
We ordered items close to what we order from the other location. It took almost an hour to get our food! My son’s kid pizza was microwaved frozen pizza. We’ve never ordered that item before so that one was my fault. However, my white pizza had so much oil on top that it was literally dripping off of it. My husband ordered a calzone like he always does. It was burnt on the outside, but not cooked enough on the inside. I guess the oven was too hot. The other pizza we ordered was okay, but not the quality we expect from Pepperoni’s.
The prices are way too high for such poor quality of food. I would have given it two stars, but the service was awful. The waitress never once refilled our drinks even after being asked after she brought our food. The table across from us had dirty plates on it the entire time we were there. I’m a little wary of a place that won’t clean the room the customer is in. It makes me worried about the places the customer doesn’t see.
I am big on supporting locally owned businesses, but I will never eat at this place again. Sticking with the other location, and highly recommend that they higher new staff at this location.

After going to the other location and finding it closed, a nice person on the street directed us to this newer location.
Went for a carry out pie. Staff was nice and recommended the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Was delish, flavorful, great crust. Even reheated well.
Pretty darn good pizza, would go back again

I used to frequent the store in black mountain with great calzones and subs. Since the opening of another store in oteen I thought how convenient. I don’t have to drive 15 minutes anymore. Unfortunately this location has not maintained the excellent food and consistently good service that I had grown accustomed to. After a few incorrect orders, rude service, and wait times of up to an hour and a half for delivery I don’t think I will be back. Hopefully the owners are able to revamp this location and give me a reason to go back. Until then I’ll be making the drive to black mountain.

Food is always flavorful, love the mesquite wings. Fresh salads, great staff. Try the Philly steak pizza awesome!!!

I’m kinda sad that this place doesn’t really get busy. The pizza’s are great! The service is always friendly. Prices are ridiculous cheap to me!

My wife and I eat here fairly often and it is pretty consistent. It is not the greatest pizza in Asheville but it deserves a better rating than CC’s Pizza so I wanted to add a better rating so it would move up in the ranks.

We love their pizza! I am so happy they replaced Pizza Hut because this pizza taste fresher, and I love all their topping options. I love their Thai chili wings!
My one complaint is they never give me a time estimate for the deliveries. They leave it like «get there when they can» which when you’re hungry is frustrating.

Good customer service but the pizza was a little flavorless. Two large and medium were around $ 40. Kinda ridiculous for the quality… and it was not gourmet pies, just basic cheese and pepperoni. Overall not bad but there are better choices in the area.

Huge selection to choose from, awesome prices and the food is delicious! We usually get delivery and they they are always on time and the food is still warm. You have to try this place everyone! I have to recommend the 12 piece garlic and parmesan chicken wings, they are awesome!

Just walked in to see if I could purchase a Doughball from them as I do in several other places. Pepperonis is new in my area and thought I would give it a try. The cashier asked some woman in charge who gave me a resounding «NO» and when I tried to talk to her she completely ignored me. Very rude. I don’t think I will be stopping in anytime soon to try anything off their menu.

First time I had eaten at Pepperonis and it was very good. Their crust was very tender and light but a good fresh taste. Had a pepperoni pizza and will be back for more next week.
