Our Family Doctor

I absolutely loath the U.S. medical industry for all of its inefficiencies. Take me out for a beer for more of that discussion. So when I had to get the few prescriptions that I take on a regular basis, and to avoid having to deal with the mail order seizure risk, I did some due diligence on the inevitable medical office that I’d have to visit. Dr. Polansky at Our Family Doctor was recommended by friends as someone that was slightly off-​beat and more holistic with her approach to treatment. I made the appointment and was impressed by the ease of the process. To get in, you still have to deal with the usual, government-​worker type nurse drones, but here they weren’t as bad as at most clinics. The waiting room is clean with a nice fish tank to observe while trying to take your mind off the wait (which isn’t too long). There’s a nice outdoor area to step outside and further remove yourself from the legions of sick kids and doting mommies that inhabit this type of establishment. Dr. Polanksy is fabulous and doesn’t over-​prescribe, and doesn’t seem to be distracted by the next ten patients in line. This is hands down the best experience at a Doctor’s office that I’ve ever had.

Had some kinks in service when this new practice began, but all gone now. Two fabulous Drs. here are Michael Weizman and Andrea Preston. Not bad on getting appointments. No billing problems. Highly recommended.
