The sign clearly says they are open until 10pm. Went in at 8:30 pm and was told that they would not seat us or allow us to order unless it was take out. Was told they were not seating or serving eat ins. Ugh what a shame, guess not going back there

Oriental Pavillion is definitely the best place to go for Chinese food in Asheville. Growing up in New York, I was accustomed to find authentically tasty Chinese food within walking distance of where ever I happened to be. When I moved to Asheville, I was hard pressed to find a Chinese restaurant that even came close to capturing the right blend of flavors and spices(most of the local joints are pretty bland if you ask me). But luckily I found Oriental Pavilion! Everything from their tea to their spring rolls to their entrées reminds me that Chinese food should be an enjoyable culinary experience… not just a heap of salty vegetables over a scoop of rice. I’ve tried all of the dishes on their extensive Vegetarian/Vegan menu and nothing has disappointed(my favorite is their Sesame Vegetarian Chicken). The prices are great for those of us on a budget and the staff is always pleasant.

Omg. I ordered from Valet Gourmet and I think your poo poo platter is the best I’ve ever had! So much food! I’ve only gotten to the spring rolls and shrimp but I will definitely be ordering again from you all! FABULOUS!!! I ordered a gain last week and just like the first order. The ribs and the meat on the skewers were totally inedible! I won’t be making that mistake again!

This review is not based on any single visit, but rather at least one or more visits every few months for over two years. Sometimes we get delivery when we plenty of time to wait. Ask the man who takes your order how long it will take un po

Lunch Delivered! On a whim our office decided to have lunch delivered from here. Everything came packaged in nice black and clear containers and was super hot. You could definitely tell it was made fresh. I got the sesame chicken and the sauce on the chicken was some of the best I have ever had. Egg rolls were light and crispy. I will definitely eat here again.

Ordered a couple of different meals which were good but the kicker is that they offer both spring rolls and egg rolls. Every time I order egg rolls I get the horrible spring rolls which are usually burnt and really are inedible. This was a valet gourmet order and I was very unhappy about this. I tried to get them to make it right but I never saw a credit on my bill. Very unhappy person here.

Kids liked it. Tofu was tasty, chicken fried rice greasy, scallops with broccoli had that classic sugary, soy sauce brown goop you’ll find in every Chinese restaurant from here to Oregon. Not terrible and they do deliver.

The food is usually great. But if the people at the front spent half as much time insuring customers leave with the right food or all of their food as they did in their phones we’d all be a bit better. They gave me food they said i asked for without explaining exactly what it was they were giving me. Ended up being a combo with really dry fried rice and giant chunks of onion over sweet and sour chicken. Making the chicken reak of onion and soggy. I asked for a small size but if i was going to get charged the same price as a large and only get soggy half order of chicken why wouldn’t you just advise to get the large? Very disappointed with this trip and have been a long time loyal customer. Customer service is definitely not a strog point or a point of concern here.

I am sitting inside this restaurant sipping on warm rich egg drop soup on this cold winters day! I had orange chicken made to order! All food was very fresh and tasty! I will be back!

The food here is made to order. The food is fresh and flavorful. We have dined at Oriental Pavilion many times and we are always extremely satisfied. The vegetarian hot and sour soup is delicious and worth a trip for that reason alone.

Ordered food through valet gourmet tonight with this establishment, found a black hair in my chicken and broccoli, I am one of those people that can’t get past this, all I kept thinking was if I keep eating I’m Going to get a hair in my mouth. Not impressed and it was after ten so too late to order from anywhere else.

Ordered online, didn’t know their sanitation grade was 81.5 !!! Yikes. So disgusting and bland food. Will never go again due to low sanitation grade. Apparently they have ‘improved’ from 75% from some online research I did.

They do have wonderful food and I order from them all the time but they get my address messed up a lot and my food is taking else where. I feel like if I have to wait an additional hour for my food that I have already waited for an hour for doesn’t get to me. They should consider the mistake they made and at least compensate some how.

I ordered take out from my old stand by on Wednesday for lunch. They have a $ 10 delivery minimum, so I decided to just get two lunch specials, one for Wednesday and one for Thursday. On Wednesday I had sweet and sour pork with fried rice and spring roll. The pork was so over fried it was too hard to use a fork. The fork would not penetrate the breading. The meat inside the breading was like a leather shoe. It was so gross. I didn’t eat the spring roll and the rice was okay. Thursday I had the honey garlic chicken. The chicken was less done than the pork, the breading was normal, but again the meat inside was like a leather, some pieces completely unchewable. I did try to eat the spring roll but it was so over done, dark dark brown — like they over cooked it in old oil. I will definitely think twice next time when I’m feeling too lazy to pack my own lunch.

I ordered delivery. The egg drop soup tasted funny, but maybe I am just sensitive to the taste of eggs, which is why I am particular about them. I didn’t eat the soup. However, the lo mein noodles were to die for – not too liquidy, not too dry. I ordered vegetable lo mein and all the vegetables were completely cooked. The delivery boy was professional and I appreciated that I only waited for less than 15 minutes before the food was delivered.

So my baby was napping and I opened the fridge and I had no food. I remembered I could order Chinese! I quickly found Oriental Pavilion’s menu online and called. The woman who answered was very nice. She said it would take 45min to an hour and it only took 20 some minutes before my meal arrived at my door! I had the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was good quality white meat and tasted great. Everything was packaged well and very hot! Definitely ordering food again! Saved me a trip out with my kiddo!

We ordered to go and waited 45 minutes in an empty restaurant, literally, aside from the staff. We got 4 different orders. All of them were tasteless. The pineapple honey chicken was extremely bland and the chicken had an odd mushy texture. Not one of the orders tasted as it was supposed to. Just simply, yuk!

Excellent. This is THE place to get Chinese from in Asheville. Do not waste your time anywhere else. I ordered delivery. Only about a 45 minute wait between ordering and getting the delivery. My favorites: Pork Fried Rice(delicious and hearty), Sweet and Sour Chicken(crispy and tender), Chicken Lo Mein(yum), General Tso’s Chicken(spicy and delicious) and Cheese Rangoon(perfect). Tons of food, low cost, high quality. Need I say more?
