What a great local intimate theater. No lines to get in or find your seat. The ushers have always been super friendly. As a matter of fact the entire staff treats me like a friend. With a ground level stage I always feel like I am on the stage with the fantastic actors. I’m so glad Asheville supports NC Stage.

Not New York, but a nice small theatre. You may want to check in-depth before taking younger children as you would for any theatre. Reasonable prices at the snack bar too. The chairs weren’t too comfy, but the acting was very good!

A nice cozy theatre that seats maybe 100 people. Very intimate. We went around Christmas and saw«Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol.» A one person play, he was fantastic. Not for younger kids, as it’s hard for them to follow one actor playing several different parts. But this actor was a joy to watch.

So for this visit a friend of mine had me tag along with some of her girlfriends to see the«Vibrator Play.» Yes folks, that is what I wrote. The play set back in the 1800s and near the turn of the century was about a doctor that used one of the first(and might I add most industrial) vibrators on women who were crazed by… well something. It was really a relationship story and the set, actors, and production was really spot on. I had a great time. The best part though was at the end of the production as we left the stage area for the lobby, a box full of all manner of cheap vibrator was there for the taking… now I’ve been all over the world… I’ve seen plays in cities smaller than Asheville and as big as NYC, but never have I seen something like that… which cracked me up as many women were like a kid in a candy store… and me… I just sat there and smiled… only in Asheville. This company continues to be my favorite in town.
