Friendly staff and great food… BOOM! I definitely will come back. Wheat crust if you want it… what??? If you didn’t know what you wanted to eat, well look no further. Nice service Brad!!!

Marco’s has been my favorite pizza for years! I actually think it’s a cut above the average NY style pizza restaurant too. The sauce is very fresh and the mozzarella is excellent, paired with the thin and crispy crust, it’s very close to being the perfect pizza. They have a wide variety of toppings, your standard ones plus some unique ones like meatballs, and they also have some specialty pizzas like the white pie and pesto pizza. Some people balk at a «Hawaiian» pizza, but they use fresh pineapple and not the canned stuff and it really makes a difference. I’m also a big fan of their Greek salad and have been known to dip my crust in their delicious Greek dressing.

The classic cheese pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had. There’s just something about the combination of the sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese, basil and the crust isn’t to think or too thin, just right! I know what you’re thinking, cheese pizza? Yeah cheese pizza! I didn’t try the tea, while in Asheville the tap water is fine and free!

Large salads can be shared. Pasta dishes make 2 meals. Nice beer selection with lots of local breweries. GF options available. I look forward to going again.

Did I do something wrong? I’m surprised by all the 5-star reviews of the pizza. It *looked* delicious, but for me, it was hands-down in the top 3 worst pizzas I’ve ever had in my life. The crust was WET in the middle. Soaked. I had to peel off and throw out the first 2⁄3 of the bread to get to dry land. The cheese looked and tasted like the vegan cheese I used to eat when I was dairy-free — no flavor, didn’t even look melted all the way. The pepperoni wasn’t even good, and pepperoni is ALWAYS good. I was really disappointed after having spent nearly $ 30 on a large pizza. Maybe if I got a small, cheese-only pizza I would have had a different experience? Not really tempted to give it another shot.

Marco’s has the best pizza in town, in my opinion. I love the fresh mozzarella and in-house made crushed tomato sauce, and the crust is always perfectly cooked. No artificial butter on the crust here. Just fresh, real ingredients. There are other options on the menu if you are not in the mood for pizza. They have delicious calzones, salads, strombolis, pasta with bolognese(my 2 year old daughter’s favorite), and subs. We usually order the tomato sauce-based pizza with mushroom and onion because it is what we can all agree on. I also love the greek salad, especially the dressing. Sometimes I add grilled chicken and make it a meal. The pizzas are huge, even the individual would be enough for two people if you don’t have huge appetites. The staff are very friendly, and the service is excellent. They have a great local beer selection. I think the prices are a bit higher than some other pizza places, but it is worth every penny.

Delicious food and extremely friendly staff! It’s small and nothing fancy, but by far nicer then some other pizza places. There is a small bar, outdoor seating(picnic tables) and a huge menu. My husband ordered a sandwich, which was huge and he said was really good. I ordered a vegetarian pizza which they accidentally put meat on, so they gave me a complimentary salad to eat while I waited for them to remake my pizza and comped our drinks, which was really nice. The pizza was delicious, loved the thin crust and they have, by far, the BEST Greek salad dressing. I highly recommend trying it. I also thought the prices were very reasonable, especially given the portion size. I hope next time I have room to try the desserts!

Good pizzeria with plentiful ingredients for pizza, calzones, and more. Food is ready quickly but waitstaff is slow to bring food and drinks and then service is sparse. One big issue I have with the pizza is the«soggy bottom«which i have found out is from the spinach topping. They have a good selection of local beer and desserts.

What a great place ! We just dearly loved the perfectly prepared fresh spinach salad and great thin crust pizza! Great atmosphere too!

Really good pizza; fresh dough, good sauce & cheese. Didn’t care for the sausage, but I think that was more of a personal opinion. Service was less than stellar. We were there on a Saturday for lunch and there was one waitress and two guys in the back. Got our pizza quickly, but never saw our waitress again until she brought the bill. They weren’t that busy; only another four tables, but she had time to stand behind the counter & chat with a guy who was at the bar, but not to refill our drinks? That aside, I would still go back because the pizza was great.

Party of 8. Yes it is busy but staff has not been considerate, gave tables away that would have seated us. Been waiting over an hour. They keep telling us just 15 more minutes… and have been for the last hour and a half. UPDATE: Finally got seated. Waitress was supper sweet and nice. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. Pizza was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good Got a pepperoni pizza and it wasn’t too greasy. Could have used more sauce; IF we ever come here again we would order extra. Crust was good, cheese was good.

We were asked to leave because another group was waiting to be seated! and some of our group was still eating! We were there for an hour and it took about 25 mins to get our groups food. We had only just finished eating and the waitress had packed up our food and got the check. My wife’s family was down from New York that night. It was very embarrassing. I wouldn’t recommend for groups. You might be told by the manager to leave if you do!

Hands down, best pizza in town. Always fresh, fantastic staff, and they have ½ of bottles of wine throughout the week. My favorite is the standard pepperoni pizza, but every once in a while I will change it up and get the pesto instead of marinara sauce. My wife and I love this place.

I’m a deep dish kind of guy, but Marco’s totally changed that. The ingredients taste so fresh, and I’m overall impressed with these guys. My only gripe would be with the price. They are a bit high for pizza in this day and age where pizzas are 5 – 10 bucks in most places. I would probably go more often if the price was lowered a bit. Beyond that, keep up the good work.

We stopped in for lunch while in the area. This is a great little place. Everyone was very friendly and service was great. The kale salad was excellent! The Greek Stromboli was fresh and delicious. Best pizza around according to hubby. We’re glad we found this place tucked back in the corner of shopping center.

great pizza! My favorite pizza in town — as a NYC transplant, my family hunted all over for a pizza that we all could agree on and Marcos has been it for years. The crust is thin and dusty on the bottom. The south is big on gross crusts. This is perfect crust!

My first meal driving into Asheville. Didn’t know anything about it going in because was meeting friends that live in Asheville. I was also late so really didn’t know what to expect. I ordered the greek stromboli which had spanich, olives, feta and Marzarella. The stromboli was massive, easily shared between two people. It was very good. I can’t really say much else about the place other than i really enjoyed setting outside.

Portion size is more than ample for at least one or two meals. We got a pair of the large(18″) pizzas. If you start basic it’s pretty affordable, but has the potential to get expensive when you start adding toppings, especially since a ½ topping is billed as a whole one. We got some garlic cheese bread that was delicious and covered in cloves of roasted garlic. The side of sauce was fantastic as well, and went well with the crust. Definitely a go-to for pizza on the south side.

Marcos was a great pizza choice for someone that hasn’t had pizza in over 90 days. We decided to opt out on the typical cheese and pepperoni option and get a specialty pizza, Marcos chicken ranch pizza. The toppings were random: chicken, ham, ranch dressing and cheese. Not your typical pizza but it was amazing. Their 14″ pizza was huge and I could only eat one piece. The crust was perfectly cooked, crisp and not too chewy. I only wish they delivered. Besides the owner making a smart comment about my Red Sox shirt, I’ll come back again, only wearing more Boston stuff!
