It’s always nice when someone can give you suggestion about where to go to the gynecologist. Especially if you’re new to town :-). I would recommend Laurel obgyn. I’ve had great experiences with both Dr. West and Dr. Vance. The wait is never very long, and the staff is always willing to talk with you about any medical concerns or questions. When I didn’t mesh well with a new doctor they assigned me to, after Dr. Vance left, the staff were accommodating to find somebody that fit my needs better. Because let’s be honest if you’re going to get undressed in front of someone, you want to feel comfortable with them.

Can I give zero stars? My OB was nice, but we talked about how I didn’t have insurance and they assured me certain labs would not be sent off for until my new insurance coverage was active. I guess the office either keeps terrible records or does not respect patients’ wishes, because I received two bills from the lab totaling almost $ 1000($ 946 to be exact). When I called to discuss this, the office had no record of my doctor telling me these labs could be held off on, also there’s «nothing we can do» about the bill because they are a different entity than the lab. All this occurred over a 20 minute phone conversation where I was placed on hold four times, and eventually was told the office manager would call me back. Uhh yeah, still waiting on that call… Won’t hold my breath. Meanwhile, I’m calling new OBs to transfer my care. Stay far away from Laurel!
