Terrible service. Less than average food. Came here with a groupon. Pizza was average. Kinda greasy. Salad was subpar. But the kicker was the waitress, Lauren. After a quick, very confusing seasonal beer menu conversation that was only half heard between her and another person at our table… The simple question of what was the highlands seasonal(listed on the beer menu that that literally just been handed to us by her) led her to referring to a member of our party as Blondie. Literally taken aback, everyone simply ordered and stopped talking. Being insulted while trying to give revenue to a business is just unacceptable. On top of that we had to go to the kitchen to ask for croutons, salad dressing, and the bill. There’s not a wonder why this business seems to be struggling and closes early on Saturday nights.

This is one of my favorite places to go for really good Italian food. I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. It is family owned and operated. I love to support local businesses. Thanks to the staff for a great experience at every visit!!!

This visit is for us the second with the use of a groupon. The service is really friendly and the prices for lunch are good. The fresh made breadsticks, house pizza and lasagne were really good. We will come back when we are in the area.

Very disappointing. We saw they had delivery now and gave it one last chance. The«Sicilian» pizza turned out to be a big 3″ thick block of half cooked, completely inedible dough and very canned toppings. HUGE waste of food and money! Considering the lack of quality local pizza in our area, you would think they could easily make something simple, agreeable, and maybe keep some customers. We tried their«regular» pizza many years ago and the canned toppings and poor quality were such a turnoff we stayed away. My mistake for thinking they could have improved in the last decade. Now we know!

Went there to use a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a smaller setting but felt very warm and homey. The staff was friendly and attentive. My spouse and I ordered breadsticks, salad, and a large pizza– all of which were excellent. I highly recommend visiting! Order extra cheese on the pizza for the perfect amount. Normal cheese looked a bit light for the type of dough used.

All the bread & sauces are made fresh on the premises every day. The food was outstanding. The patrons near us told us the next time we visit we must order their pizza. But their bread-sticks are to die for… unfortunately they only give one serving complimentary. We went on a Friday night, the place had every table full. Their prices are affordable, the restaurant is pretty and clean.

we went there for lunch today, and what a nice suprise to walk into an Italian resturant and actually get Real Italian food. We are originally from NY and it is hard to get exceptional Italian food when out of NY our server was great i could have made a meal out of the breadsticks but did have a vegetarian baked hero which was great and i brought ½ home, too full. There grated cheese was exceptional like I just grated it. We will be back and the rest rooms where so clean i knew the rest of the place had to be just as clean Worth the trip and we will be back. HUGE portions, reasonable prices, «bread sticks» the size of small leaves of sesame bread. I had the Greek salad and cheese tortellini and had enough left over for 2 real sized meals. Marinara sauce was a little too acidic but so I added some butter from the sesame loaf to it. Delicious! Everyone was having pizza around me so clearly this is the real reason to dine here.

With such a great choice of Italian restaurants in Asheville Area I wouldn’t come back here. The pizzas were good. Well baked for sure. pastas were a bit bland. So all together — a good food but nothing special, certainly no wow factor. However the waiter was less than happy to work there or serve us. We came with our baby and the stroller, found a spot that was out of people’s way but sure was on his and he made sure we noticed that. When he placed big pizza pans on our table he rolled his eyes, as he wasn’t happy we had other plates with appetizers on the table even though we were done long time ago. So he just dumped pizza stands in the middle of table and pushed other plates and glasses away — he almost spilled my tea on me while holding my 6 months old. Didn’t make space for them first and simply was impolite to us. He must have had a bad day but still… It’s not my fault they are disorganized.

We wanted take out spaghetti and meatballs on a Sunday and since Apollo Flame was closed we tried this place. Now I know why I never come here. Greek salad dressing was bland, meatballs were lukewarm and the meat ravioli was just plain disgusting. How can you screw up spaghetti and meatballs? Overcook the spaghetti and serve it over a bland, lukewarm meat sauce, that’s how. The only thing marginally decent was the bread. It’s been a while since I’ve been here and it will be a LONG, LONG while before I go back. There are just too many better options in the area. Management: makes some changes folks– you’re product stinks!

This place was horrible. Slow service and the food was just as bad. Took leftovers home and threw them in the garbage. I never throw food out. Don’t know how they stay in business

Meh. Is the best description for this place. As the saying goes, even bad most pizza is good. That holds true for this place. It’s ok. We stopped goog after Brooklyn bros opened.

Meh. I wouldn’t not eat here again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to either. I don’t see what the fuss is about. The«breadsticks» aren’t really breadsticks; they’re like mini loaves of bread, and they’re literally coated with sesame seeds(which is all you taste). I got the lasagna, which was pretty good but again, nothing special. My girlfriend got the tortellini, which was swimming in a huge bowl with far too much sauce; additionally, can’t confirm that some of this wasn’t of the previous-frozen variety.

Went for dinner. Visiting Asheville for first time and wanted a local place that we don’t have at home. Food was bland and tasted like a microwaved meal and whine was not good. Server was HORRIBLENESS and had the personality of a block of wood. Literally she was offensively bland. Never saw a manager walk around and greet people. I will not be coming back. Olive Garden next time!

Went there for lunch with friends. walked in and it was quite and no music was playing — no italian atmosphere. the waitress was very kind and attentive but it would’ve been nice to have some kind of ambiance. first salad came out quickly. then our main entrees. I got the Calzone, which was tasty but was a tad cold by the time I got through about half of it. I used a Groupon for the purchase but the cashier used her cellphone to figure out the bill(post Groupon) instead of the cash register and was off by $ 1. I was a tad annoyed but was eager to get out of the place so I overlooked the discrepancy and figured she could use the extra dollar. although they consistently have Groupons posted online I don’t think I will be returning to this restaurant. sorry!

We used to go to Iannucci’s when we lived in the area many years ago, and we have to visit every time we are in town. Iannucci’s never dissapoints anyone in our family. We went with a large group recently for lunch and everyone was very impressed. I had the lunch special chicken parm and spaghetti and could not even finisht the lunch portion. In our group we also had pizza, calzones and the favorites were the calzone subs, italian and meatball. Also a big two thumbs up were the salads and lasagna. The bread sticks with sesame seeds have always made this our favorite Italian Restaurant. Even with a large group, service here was fast and friendly and especially accommodating. We even used our groupon with no issues, though we could hardly believe such an awesome restaurant would even offer groupon discounts.

Got some take out from a Group On which was a decent deal. Perhaps I have had too much real Italian food before in the past otherwise I would give a great review like some others who have gone here. Alas, I tried a variety to see how each tasted to really test them out. Here goes: Chicken Bianco: Mushrooms probably came from a jar, Alfredo is in desperate need of more Parmesan and garlic(no garlic taste whatsoever), chicken was obviously pre frozen and tasted as such, pasta was over cooked, tasted similar to the Lipton packets, telling me that it’s all precooked Sausage calzone: Italian sausage must have been sweet sausage and should have been advertised as so, absolutely no seasoning taste in it. It was cooked great and everything. The problem lies in it being way to bland, no garlic, seasonings, etc. Bread: Hope you like sesame seeds. Which I do. It shouldn’t be toasted as much but otherwise was very nice and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, nice décor and everything else. The problem just lies in the food. The secret is in the sauce as they say. I will bet if they hired an experienced chef that this place could be a real winner. any give them great reviews but then again when it comes to Italian there is almost nothing else in the area to compare them to. Then again you should only be comparing them to real Italian food anyway.

Service is horribly slow. Taking over 20 minutes to get the drinks to our table. This place is busy and does not have the staff to handle it. Well the salads came 30 seconds before our food. Can you say canned sauce? Not saying it was but Ragu has more flavor. The Alfredo and Ckn Parmesan sauce both were watered down and tasteless. Very disappointing to spend $ 40 on a meal that I could get out of a can for $ 2 We will not return or recommend.

And now I’ve found my new favorite Italian place in town. THIS is how Italian food was meant to be eaten. Portions that are literally double what a normal person can eat for dinner. When I take something home, that’s really saying something. Everything was incredibly tasty, as well. I will be going back any time I want Italian food from this point forward.
