Buyer Beware! We contracted with Atlanta Bread to deliver a catering order for a post-wedding brunch on a Sunday morning. We visited the store on Tuesday and placed the order, called to confirm on Saturday, and eagerly awaited the arrival of the food on Sunday morning. After several phone calls, we were finally told that our catering order was still in a folder. The food had not even been ordered, much less prepared and delivered. Several of us then had to visit multiple stores to forage for food for about 75 people. I realize anyone can make a mistake, but this was a pretty major one.

Atlanta Bread is about two minutes from the campus of UNC Asheville so I love to run up there, grab some tea, and sit and study for hours. The ambiance is very casual and relaxing and the restaurant is ALWAYS clean. There are many healthy and unhealthy choices here and the menu is fairly large. I recommend trying the Salmon Fresca Salad. It fills you up and tastes great. If you are looking for a yummy sandwich the tuna on honey wheat bread is also very good! The prices aren’t bad and it always smells great in there because of all the baked goods. The bagels are, of course, very tasty! Have a sweet tooth? The chocolate toffee cookie is to die for and will surely solve that problem. The only reason I am not giving Atlanta Bread Company a five-star rating is because they are simply not a five-star restaurant. It’s a great restaurant, but not five-star worthy.

We picked up some sandwiches from Atlanta Bread Company on a Sunday afternoon. I was not in the restaurant, so I can’t describe the interior, but the sandwiches were excellent. Very much like a Panera Bread Company. Excellent location close to the Grove Park Inn. Highly recommended.

Update: I think I meant to give this place two stars. The food really isn’t much, and the coffee is always watered down like any other ABC.

It’s good. Doesn’t get me excited when there are so many local joints up the street like Homegrown. But nothing to complain about. Food tastes good, atmosphere nice, and a fireplace.

So, this eatery has it all. Breakfast, lunch, and an early dinner if you time it right. Add in coffee and smoothies and you have it all… any season of the year and just about any type of hunger can be satisfied here. Located in on the North side of town, this is located on Merrimon Ave which is a major road out of town. Lots of traffic both on the street and in the store… there is always someone here. I had a Half Greek salad and half ham sandwich combo for$ 7 buck… not cheap, but good eats. Good place for a quick lunch. Plenty of seating
