Absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients and amazing hospitality. Definitely beats any Mexican grill I’ve been to. Worth a try!!!

Comfortable, bright dining area with plenty of room. Spicy chicken quesadilla was very tasty. Fresh ingredients and tender chicken on soft, grilled tortilla. I had the whole wheat tortilla, but they have different varieties. Price to value is fair and reasonable. The chips were light and crispy and the salsa was excellent. If you ever go to the Moe’s chain for fast Mexican, go here instead — it has a better atomosphere and everything is much more flavorful and delicious.

Locally owned and tasted like authentic home cooking. They’re new but don’t wait, come on over and check them out!

We live around the corner so when I saw this place move in I hoped it would be better than the previous restaurant. I like the concept which is close to a Chipotle or Moe’s. The food overall was pretty good except the chorizo. There was an overwhelming amount of nutmeg in the chorizo which was not a good flavor component with everything else. The steak was well cooked and wasn’t dry and the bonus, Guacamole is included!!! Overall we will visit again

My dad and I ended up here by accident after we ventured into Woodfin for Eats and Treats Café but found that it was closed on Mondays, so we whirled back around and came to Adobo Mexican Grill. Restaurants seem to struggle in this location on the hill next to Dickies/the old Skate-Around building, and we really enjoyed our meal at Adobo, so I hope they will succeed and stick around! Don’t be put off by the simplicity of the décor. Adobo is no frills and a small family-owned restaurant getting on their feet, but the food was great and very fairly priced. It’s set up like a Chipotle — which I find extremely overrated and overpriced, by the way — in that you have a choice of tacos, burrito, or a bowl. You choose your meat, and you can add several toppings(and they are willing to be generous with both for no extra charge), including beans, rice, queso, cheese, a variety of salsas, pico de gallo, lettuce, etc. For $ 7.99, you get a nice big burrito, a bowl, or 3 tacos plus a basket of chips and salsa(free refills!), and you can add a fountain drink for a small charge. It’s counter service, and the couple that owns the restaurant and cooks their food from scratch were very friendly and welcoming. I had three steak tacos(they offered to cook the steak to my liking as they were whipping up a fresh batch when we arrived around 7:30), with cheese, queso, pico de gallo, and crema. With plenty of chips to go with it and my rice on the side, I definitely left feeling full and happy. My dad thoroughly enjoyed his burrito with spicy chicken! We will be back! Weavervillers and Woodfinners, stop in here if you enjoy Chipotle or its distant cousin Urban Burrito. Also, kids eat free on Tuesdays. (Star ratings are always dubious. It probably goes without saying that this five star rating isn’t exactly the same as the one I’d give Salsa’s Caribbean downtown, but it’s definitely five star for the price. Simple, friendly service, good food.)
