I took my 10 year old niece here for her birthday. We had an awesome, creative time. Perfect for multi generational groups. Highly recommend for team building. Owners are fun and enthusiastic.

Came here for a bachelorette party.
They had a special party room in the back ready for us. Everything we needed was provided for our fun painting adventure. Angelina was a wonderful instructor. She had a great sense of humor and was personable. She was patient and guided us through our painting.
Everyone had an awesome time and this was a great way to celebrate the bride to be. It was so nice to see everyone’s artwork from start to finish, such talented gals. We were able to bring our own snacks and drinks for the party. If you plan on bringing wine, you will have to purchase a Banquet’s license for $ 55. I enjoyed the music they selected for the party, it was upbeat and fun.
Overall, it was a great and memorable experience. I can’t wait to come back!

I came here for my bachelorette party! It was such a nice time to relax, talk and spend time with my girls. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming there and they even poured refills of our drinks we brought-that’s awesome. There was a last minute cancelation the day of and I called to see if there was any way they could waive the fee because i didn’t want my sister to have to pay for something that wasn’t her fault-​and they did! They were SO nice, I spoke to both of owners and they really love what they do and have excellent customer service! We all had a great time and can’t wait to come back! So go sign up some friends and paint away, you will have a blast!

I visited here for a friend’s birthday party and we all had really, really fun time. Some folks had more talent than others but it all worked out well with the help of the instructors. I will certainly keep this place in mind for future events and I’ll check the calendar to see if there is easy stuff I might like to paint for my home.
I gave four star versus five since they don’t serve alcohol.

Painting with a Twist is a lot of fun! The beautiful art work is all over the walls. You can book them for special events. I went for a combined bachelorette and bachelor party. The bride picked out a cute blue and black branched out heart painting. The artist leading us was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was also another painter making the rounds to help anyone in the party out.
After 3 hours all of us left with a beautiful painting that we made ourselves. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to celebrate an occasion in a different but awesome way!

We had a private event here, and it was so much fun! The owners are very accommodating, welcoming, friendly and hands on! The instructor was good. They really seemed to go with the flow of the group.

My son and I had a great time at Painting with a Twist! We came for the family painting session and our instructor was patient with the kids and really made it easy for even the non-​artistically inclined to create a nice piece. We hung our paintings in my son’s room and he loves them!

I had been wanting to do this for the longest time. And thanks to a Team Building event for work, I finally had an excuse to go. This place was just so amazing. We were able to bring in wine and whatever food and snacks we wanted. They were so accommodating. The owners are so friendly and helpful and not to mention such a super adorable pair! Our instructor was Becky. She was fabulous. We are an over the top, loud, and outspoken group and she was very patient with us and super talented. We had such a blast. We all couldn’t stop talking about how we couldn’t wait to so it again. I highly recommend this place

I came here for their grand opening and it was such a fun event. PWAT had it all catered. The ONLY downside was that there was no twist, i.e. wine. It seems the lovely liquor laws of Virginia do not allow you to drink onsite unless you purchase a banquet license for $ 55. My friends and I didn’t purchase one, but we still had a great time. It’s nice that there’s music being played in the background while you’re painting so there is no awkward silence. It made it a little hard to chat with my friends, but it’s no biggie.
The owners and staff were very sweet and really enthusiastic about what they do and that makes all the difference. PWAT is a great concept and I’ll definitely be back!
