Ummmm… I usually never give bad reviews but this place, unfortunately deserves it. Went there today at noon for a quick sandwich to go. it wasn’t to crowded but I waited about 5 minutes in line to order… no problem, that’s fine. What wasn’t fine is that 20 minutes later I still did NOT have a sandwich in hand. After a few inquiries they said they were busy… I looked around and it wasn’t that busy… The guy standing next to me also was not happy about waiting. When I asked if my tuna sandwich was made yet the guy told me that the tuna was made, they just had to put it on the bread. Which translated to «we haven’t started your sandwich yet». I went back to cashier and asked for a refund. He felt bad and they said they were strying their best but it’s not good enough when there are SO many other food options around. Went over to Jersey Mikes, a mile away and was in and out wihtin 8 minutes with a great sandwich… Sorry Firehouse Subs — I won’t be returning nor will I be recommending your place. People were coming in when I left and I told them what happened and they all turned around.

A far better sub place than many of the other ones we’ve tried. The sandwiches are flavorful, the staff is friendly and they have a cherryade, which I haven’t had in quite a while. Parking, however, sucks.

Was quite surprised this place was even here or any good for that matter. The guys made me go here for lunch last month we travel all around virgina, so they know everywhere being out on the road all day from site to site. This place I expected to be like a subway. Quite frankly it blows subway out of the water.

The sub was simply ok. The time it took to make the simple sub… way too long. I’ve had a steak served faster than the making of my sub. Really disappointed and not likely to return. Go for Jersey Mikes or Jimmy Johns.

Other than not being able to pronounce Janice properly, the food was great and the restaurant was clean.

Great subs. Service could use some help though. Twice now I have ordered a sandwich with mustard and there was barely any on there. Both times I walked up the the counter to ask for more and got ignored by the employees. I stood there for at least 3 minutes waiting for a mustard packet. The would be much easier to have some available for the customers.

The employee informed me that basically they do not refrigerate their mayo because it’s the same as the little packets. Seriously? I won’t be eating here again because of this.

I like the subs and the salads BUTMANOHMANARETHEYSLOW. I mean I dread ordering unless I bring something to actually eat in the restaurant. I think it may just be this location. I will have to investigate other fhs. Wow they are slow.

Spare yourself!(…and your children.). I must say, I walked in here reallllly looking forward to some Firehouse. I’ll NEVER go back to this location! Who’s running the circus over there?!? I could complain that the soda fountain was only pushing out syrup… but big deal, right? I could complain that the tea was a few days old, and it seemed like they just added sugar to dull the taste… but who cares. I could complain that the sandwiches were semi-slapped together… but whatever. The real issue that surmounts them ALL was the putrid rice crispy treats they gave my children. Those rotten things absolutely smelled like a mix between crotch-rot and moldy tuna. I couldn’t entirely wash the foulness from my kids hands, and the odor still lingers in the kitchen. To think my toddler managed to take a bite before it was pulled out of his hands… Never. Ever. Again. I’m not just unhappy Firehouse– I despise you!

I really wish we had a Firehouse Subs that was closer to Central PA. Anytime I travel to Ashburn, VA for business I have to stop here. Last time I stopped was October of 2014 I think I got an Italian sandwich with everything on it and it was amazing. I can’t elaborate on the atmosphere as I just took it back to my hotel but the staff was friendly enough. This is so much more superior to the 5,000 Subways and occasional Quizno’s we have in PA. Best«chain» Sub I’ve found so far and it’s 2 hours away. That Cherry Limeade stuff is pretty good as well.

Excellent subs and a really wonderful staff. The service is not fast — this isn’t really fast food, per se. But they are super nice people making very delicious sandwiches. Meat quality is high, bread is fresh, servings are generous.

Stopped in the new Ashburn location after a movie, and really enjoyed it. Extremely clean, they were scrubbing away while we were there… had the«hook and ladder» sandwich, was very good… I like the way you can donate to fireman’s charity by rounding up purchase amount, no pressure… and my little one left with a free fireman’s hat… I’ll be back soon.

I like all the sandwiches here. The bread taste fresh. If you want a quick bite it’s the place to go. It’s a three star because there are other deli’s that you can go that would make this place average.

This was my first time at Firehouse, and the reviewers are pretty much on point. This place isn’t bad, but it’s not like I will go out of my way to get a sandwich from here. I got the number 3(New York Steamer) and there wasn’t much meat involved. In fact New York called and told FHS they would sue unless they change the name of the sub to the«Ethiopian»(get it? lack of meat? Oh well). I guess for $ 6 I shouldn’t expect«New York“style pastrami, but I wish there were more. My daughter ordered the number 4(Italian) and it had twice as much meat as my sub. Luckily it was a little big for her so I got to enjoy it. Both sandwiches had great bread that was lightly toasted yet still had a great«squish» factor … probably the best part of the sandwich. I would have probably rated them a 4, but that requires a little more pizzazz. I will most likely come back considering the lack of options while One Loudoun is still being developed(more like ½ Loudoun). Elevation burger is my next adventure, but considering the Unilocal collective gave it 3.5 stars, I won’t go in hungry. TIP: Next time I just ask for the double«Ethiopian».

Fantastic food, reasonable prices. Not as fast as Subway but much better quality. Definitely worth an extra couple of minutes.

Since I have been hearing so much about Firehouse Subs I decided it was finally time that my wife and I give this place a shot. Upon entering, we realized the establishment isn’t very large and it was probably because of the way the tables and chairs were arranged, which made seating seem a bit tight and the establishment smaller, but the seats and tables were soon rearranged and that changed. We proceeded to the register where a woman happily explained how the ordering process worked and what their signature sandwiches were. After the explanation we ordered the following: Wife — #6 combo(club on a sub) Me — hooked and ladder light(trying to eat a bit healthy) One thing to note which I thought was cool is that firehouse subs seems to allow you to donate to local firehouses. How it works is that, when you are finished ordering and your meal comes to, let’s say $ 16.84, they ask you if you want to donate and if you say yes then they round to the nearest dollar which would be $ 17 and that change goes towards the local firehouse donation. Our meals arrive, when they do I sort of chuckle because my light sandwich was actually bigger than my wife’s regular sandwich. For a split second it made me feel like I may have been misled about it being a healthier option. Overall we were pretty satisfied with our sandwiches but nothing to spectacular to broadcast to everyone. However we did say we would come back but we would have to be in the area and in the mood for sandwiches. As of now I think Jimmy John and Which Wich are my goto places for sandwiches.

The service was horribly slow. My wife and 2 boys were done with their subs before I received mine. Two of the employees were just unprofessional and one of them was talking to his friends and he decided to to take a break and with his two friends when they were fairly busy. My wife also had to go chase down someone to get a fork because there weren’t any out. As far as taste goes, eh. My boys didn’t like their meatball subs because they were so messy and they didn’t like the fact that they had to eat their subs with a fork because everything was just pouring out. My tuna sub, was just OK. As long as I had to wait for it, it should have been fantastic. The employee who brought me my sub, did do the right thing and gave me a card for a free sandwich since my sandwich took too long. I don’t think we’ll be going back here, though. Miserable experience.

Nice to finally have a good sub place across the street from the office. Staff working the day that I went in were friendly and helpful. Steamer Sub was very good and like having a warm sub on a cold day. Looking forward to trying the other subs on the menu since this is a nice quick lunch which still allows me to get out of the office for the minimum amount of time. Hope for their business that it gets busier as it was fairly quiet for lunch time. I believe that a lot of people dont know it is there and/or open(good for me for the time being).
